what i like the most is how she vrooms out of there and bump into him on the way out lol. the sad thing most players dont realize is in the canon book after FFVII of aerith in the lifestream, she mentions she regrets never taking a picture with cloud,at the end of advent children you see the team in a photo on cloud desk and the flower to represent aerith since he doesnt have one of her. this is what this quest was all about.

affinity does matter on cloud response wich is the player voice, high afinity and he is upfront about wanting another date. low afinity he is like, sure,lets

I wish you included the credits scene from the original AC movie (not ACC). It has Aerith watching over Cloud in the flowerfields.

It’s always so touching to see him crawling towards her 😢 I have a video suggestion, how about a side by side of Zack holding and crying for Aerith in the beginning of the game and Cloud doing the same in the FC? The two men that love her, grieving her. I think it makes so clear that Cloud loves her.

In Rebirth, there is much more emphasis on the fact that Aerith really understands Cloud's problem well and whatever fate awaits her in the third game, she will definitely not have contact with Cloud in the near future, which means that first of all he loses a person who, without any connection with his past, could understand, accept and help him to him. Knowing what happened in the crater from OG (thank you, Tifa), I feel this tragedy because of her loss for Cloud himself, no matter what feelings by nature he would have for Aerith.

I like both but the original is a lot more impactful to me. There’s something about the music and more subtle presentation that’s a lot more mystical compared to Rebirth. Also, there’s a greater sense of tragedy and a stronger connection to FF7’s realistic portrayal of death. The last time Cloud and Aerith saw each other, he gave Sephiroth the black materia and physically hurt her. He never got to apologise properly nor were his last (living) moments with her pleasant. She leaves intending to come back (“I’ll be back once this is all over”) and never returns. Nobody intends to die the brutal way Aerith does. Sometimes in real life, we lose the people we love when we least expect it and we don’t get to say sorry or goodbye and leave many unspoken words and chapters. Aerith knowing she’s going to die in Rebirth removes this element which I think it detracts from this bittersweet scene between them and also the greater themes of the story.

Good job on posting this comparison! I love how they kept it similar to the og scene, it hits hard listening to the og music to the rebirth scene at the same time. I’ve been a fan of ffvii since 1997 and just love seeing it come this far with the voice acting and graphics. Please continue to post more of these comparisons and parallels!

This scene was always one of my favorites in the OG. Last time seeing Aerith before.. 😭 they absolutely nailed this scene in Rebirth! It's very faithful to OG, the music is gorgeous and just overall so beautiful! I tear up every time Cloud tries to go after her. He literally crawls through the branches to get to her 😭💔

I like the Rebirth version well enough, but for me, what made the OG so special in that moment was when Cloud literally starting to run to Aerith, only to not move a single step closer and Aerith miles apart from him but yet so close. It really felt like a dream in that sequence. How we assume that we are in Cloud’s pov until they both float down, how Aerith’s little wave was so simple yet such a memorable gesture like you’re finally seeing someone you love go, just everything in that sequence is so beautiful despite the outdated graphics.

I like the '97 vs '24 graphics where she pumps her chest vs the more subtle hold as she tells Cloud she'll handle Sephiroth. It honestly reads like "I've got this"! vs "I've done this before..."

The haters are going to hate but for me as an OG player back in 97, FF7 Remake and Rebirth are masterpieces in my book, and far exceeded my expectations. It surpassed everything on every level for me, and it won’t be for a long time that we’ll get anything as close to the remake trilogy in terms of storytelling, music, graphics, fight mechanics, acting, voice etc. Square-Enix put everything they had into these games and mark my words, we probably won’t see anything like them for a long, long time. Last but not least, pray for those OG players that already returned to the planet and never got to experience the remake games. Thanks for the video! ❤👍

Aerith is such a beautiful character. Like a Disney princess in a Square Enix games. Guess that's how Kingdom Hearts was made.

That man is so soft for her! The sound of relief in his voice when he sees she's alive is everything. I love how they expanded on Aerith telling him to take care of himself and included the bit about her searching for him. It sounds like she just picked the conversation up from where she left off on the Gold Saucer date. They really did a fabulous job of updating this scene. I also love how they incorporated the whispers here when he has that dream moment of trying to run after her but being unable to move forward at all. While watching this I was struck by the contrast between the controlled Cloud trying to chase after Aerith for the black materia versus how Cloud is chasing after her here because he's worried about her. Some great parallels like how in the first scene the whispers stop Aerith from escaping, while here they stop him from catching up to her. There's that wonderful difference in how Cloud is calling after her in both scenes while begging her to stop running. We have Aerith giving Cloud the Meteor materia vs Cloud giving her the Holy materia here. Clearly SE structured them similarly on purpose to draw the comparisons.

No matter what scene it is of cloud & aerith, i will ALWAYS cry no matter what. Just the way that they talk to each other is so wholesome and adorable.😭😭 I also love the way that aerith teases cloud a little, like a irl gf🩷🩷 Ty for making this comparison!

The matching swimsuits perfect for Clerith is the Floral Delight for Aerith and the Ocean Chocobo for Cloud. Then opposite on Tifa from Cloud and Aerith. In my replay, I put Tifa in the Shinra uniform instead of the swimsuit. It worked out great.

It’s funny because, throughout all of Remake, all I could think of was “Aerith should be the one to dispatch Hojo. How could she not be?” We have the reason here: she doesn’t want to give into those dark thoughts because they scare her.

Any moment of uncertainty with Cloud will always read to me as man who is at war with himself. Scenes where Cloud gets intimate with Tifa, his body acts on it's own irrespective of his expression (the scene after the plate fell and the two of them holding hands in NPTK). It's at odds with the SOLDIER personality experiencing the present as it's happening, and is actively making decisions as it pertains to the current moment, while informed on an muddied view of the past. I suppose things feel awkward with Tifa at times because of their memories are misaligned and the walls they put up due the trauma of those events, while Aerith is someone that is existing in the present who is open enough to take initiative in her relationships. The memories of her are happening in that moment without any uncertainty, free of any kind of baggage of the past (for the most part). One relationship is two people slow breaking down the other's boarders, while the other is one person helping the other come out of their shell. I guess I find the differences interesting.

This is beautiful, innocent. Pure oxytocin. It's the kind of love that people experience the first time they fall in love as well as when they are elderly, if one is lucky enough to love someone with such care and and understanding for that long. It's rare that normal adults find this kind of endearing connection that isn't based strictly on trauma bonding or impeding tragedy. Genuine wisdom and desire to bring each other happiness. Of course in this case Aerith, though she may not remember how this ends - still embraces this moment as if it were the last one they are about to share. I believe Cloud's feelings, had he been able to tell, would've been more direct, as he can hardly deny them beyond the point of no return. If only the point of no return would've been their lips touching as well as fingers being intertwined.

Tifa is the obvious love for Cloud. I mean you can love people differently but Arieth is the one who had the wrong attraction she's the star-crossed love interest the heroine who falls. As an Arieth fan boy it's painful to see her struggling with her lose of Zach being twisted by Zachs attachment which Clouds mannerisms because he is still a soul broken individual. That's why she wanted to meet the real Cloud because she never seen him she saw Zach!

This game was sinmply magical from start to finish...one of those "once in a decade" gaming gems

That's never left me and I genuinely believe seeing Cloud and Aerith get their happy ending in some shape or form, will give a significant part of my life closure! As sad as that sounds...

I'm a Cloud and Tifa stan myself, however i did take a picture of Aerith in a good way. That doesn't surprise me a bit. But i certainly respect to all Clerith stan for making them perfect friendship.

I make sure to always "like" and coment your videos and many others that are clerith related to make my part in help the engagement (i'm not sure thats the word in english)of these content in UA-cam versus the clotis ones because i must say they're are many and they're loud. I don't even click in clotis related videos and still they pop up on my feed. Recomend all the viewers do the same

No matter how you slice up this pizza the FF7 Remake and Rebirth story-lines were a disaster of epic proportions. The question remains, if they intended to fly off a cliff and make a whole new story in a alternate time line why even attempt to call it a "Remake" to begin with? You get the feeling that they didn't have the stones to re-tell or remake the original Playstation game's story in our year. A final fantasy game, too dark for the modern audience? Lol.

So to sum it up, the 'Surprising Fact' is that Rebirth's main story gives the most mandatory choices to affect Aerith's affinity. Reading the comments, it sounds like this is essentially all about "shipping," right? I've always thought the OG and new Remakes are very diliberately leaving this open to interperpretation and giving the players plenty of choices so they can make their own decision, or even make no decision at all. Arguing if there's an official 'canon' answer to Cloud having only 1 true love (or strong feelings for more than 1 person) can be fun, but I don't take it too seriously : )

I love how much aerith is willing to open up to cloud and i love how cloud is always so ready to be there for her and comfort her. "Let them be dark and ugly. You're not" and "Whatever you decide, I'm with you" have to be some of cloud's best quotes from the game
