What could it possibly be? Clearing out my backlog because opening one box a week on the show means I'll never know what's in that pile. Apologies in advance for the audio, working on it!

Do you really want to know who was responsible for the second wave of Darkwing Duck having never been released? It was me ...sorry, my bad. Please don't throw me off a bridge.
I think Mork's buddy's name was Exor? ...or something like that. There's a very funny current sit-com called Ghosts on CBS/Paramount+. It's really good.
This conversation made your boy uncomfortable. Look at how they draw his head, nose & lips. And they regularly change the "skin" color of black inspired characters like Piccalo in DBZ
You guys need to watch a few episodes before hating on tiger sharks, I've seen worse, also in 2025 super 7 are bringing you tiger sharks 😁💯🔥
Haha, this is fair, I have to admit I remember so little about Tigersharks, it's all a childhood haze. Any particular episodes you would recommend? I'd love to see what Super 7 could do with Tigersharks, I actually like the design for T-Ray. There's a lot of potential in that design!
@2guystalkintoys 😂 not any particular episode but I enjoy Capt.Bizzarely and T-Rex banter and Octavias design, and now super 7 has went radio silent on tiger sharks,I'm like 😵💫
There was an urban legend that the silverhawk toys would melt if you left them out in the sun. Due to the vac metal plastic. So one summer day way back in the late 80's , me and my cousins left a silverhawk out in the hot Texas sun for an entire day to test the theory Results- it didn't melt, but the plastic did become extremely brittle and the toy basically fell apart at the articulation points within a week.
Oh man, I remember experiencing super brittle/crumbly joints with some of the toys I accidentally left outside! Traumatic... I never had any Silverhawks but I did have some toys with chrome, it always weirded me out when it would sometimes just slide off an arm or leg like a reptile shedding its skin.
I have the opposite the habit. I'm an impulse hesitater. So many times I put off buying something and when i finally decide to pull the trigger on it . BOOM out of stock.
I feel your pain! I hate when I convince myself to "keep an eye on it" hoping that the sale will last just a little bit longer or that an item will be available for juuuust a little bit longer. Bites me every time and then I'm mad/sad that I didn't just get it!
I remember when you ate those like it was your job
I have a Decompose story. In 1990, we went to the big flea market in PA. I had a little money ...actually I had a lot of money for a 14 year old in 1990. I don't remember how or why I had this money. I am positive I did not earn it in any way. I had two objectives. I wanted to find a Shogun Warrior, and I wanted Metlar. I found them both, and I bought them both for less than 25 bucks. I also ended up finding Tendryl at another booth for about 8 dollars. I never saw a Decompose, or else I would have gotten him too. The first time I actually found a Decompose figure for sale was in 2004, and it was $89.00. I thought "Oh no!! Other people have figured out that Inhumanoids are awesome." What treachery has allowed this?
Man finding Metlar *and* Tendril in one go is amazing even in 1990! I wanted Metlar so badly but for some reason he was harder to find than the other 2. Yeah I was sad to see Inhumanoids explode on the secondary market, that's why it took me so long to finally recollect them. It's crazy to me how much Tendril with the longer nose... fangs/tentacles(?) goes for.
@@2guystalkintoys My Tendril didn't make it. He met with a terrible accident. Now I have two Metlars.
@@MrDaledark I remember once the back tail tentacles started to fall out the rest of Tendril would soon follow!
@@2guystalkintoys Mine had more to do with relentless alcohol induced skylarking.
Hostess Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pies hold a very special place in my heart. The last couple of years I lived in Mastic Beach, I mostly hung around with my friends John and Jim. Late at night when there was nothing much to do, we would walk to 7-11 and grab up all the Turtle Pies and go sit on the lifeguard chair at Shirley Beach, and devour them. Strait from the sewer to my nostalgic feelings of whimsy. Speaking of which, I feel like Dana undersold the significance of "Cool". I was at that age where it was more than one of my toys. I brought Cool everywhere we went. I didn't carry him around in stores and stuff, but Cool was in the car with us. Cool went on vacation with us, and was in bed with me when I slept. When I was even younger than that, I had a monkey hat from the Bronx Zoo, which was a similar relationship. I had a thing about monkeys I guess. People say I monkey around.
Haha, I ate so many of those Ninja Turtle Pies! I forgot how many food products got their hands on the license... Soup, flavored crackers, fruit snacks...
The Blank. Quickest answer I have ever had about anything.
Derek! So glad you commented. I totally forgot you had that Freddy. Nice! Thanks for the background details on that toy. Well done.
I was going to mention the Secret Wars shields as something that was stupid. I'm glad you filled in that blank for me
There should be a class action lawsuit of some kind. Call Morgan and Morgan!!!
@MrDaledark your profile picture is terrifying. Just saying
I think my favorite accessory has to be the Movie Maniacs Tall Man who came with his little evil minion. I know last week I was complaining about Movie Maniacs falling apart, but they're still awesome looking toys. I love the Pulp Fiction Marcellus Wallace figure who came with the box of donuts with the two coffee cups on top. Similarly I love that the Neca My Bloody Valentine guy came with the heart shaped chocolate box. Those are both fun little details. The greatest accessory injustice happened with the Secret Wars line. Every figure came with a shield, and so they decided not to give us a proper Captain America shield. Everyone came with their stuff in addition to the shield. Wolverine had his claws, and Daredevil has his little stick, but Cappy just had the same generic shield that everyone else had. I'm still angry about it. I would also like to throw some stink-eye to whomever was responsible for our very first Colossus figure coming with a giant dumbbell. Why? For the love of God why? Finally, I don't like blast effects. I know everyone else does, so I'm not complaining about them existing. Sometimes I just throw them away. I have zero interest. PS: One lonely Beastie I be. All by myself without nobody. The sun us beatin' down on my baseball hat. The air is gettin' dry, my beer's gettin' flat.
I forgot about the Movie Maniacs Tall Man! I thought it was strange that he came with that minion instead of a swarm of those silver spheres, but that minion is still really neat. I still get a kick out of those hyper-specific accessories, like you mentioned the donuts and heart shaped chocolate box. I love that those are perfect for the figure they came from but also look hilarious with other figures, like the soft drink cup that comes with Spiderverse Peter Parker! Holy cow the Colossus dumbbell was nuts and I never understood why of all the decisions to make, someone was like "Oh yeah we should totally imply that Colossus works out all the time!" It was so weird
@@2guystalkintoys The Tall Man did come with one sphere, as well as his dimensional portal tuning fork thing. Pretty solid accessorizing.
I still have that Freddy Krueger figure. I just put the Freddy gear on and never took it off because I just wanted a Freddy Krueger figure. Years later I found out that that was the whole idea. Turns out the whole "Make up Artist" thing was just a way for the toy company to sneak an R rated character under the radar and onto retail shelves. Unfortunately , it did not work. Parents grumbled, retailers caved, and it was quickly pulled from the stores. It is now a sought after collectors item and it would be about 10 more years before we could have toys based on Demonic serial killers.
The rattlesnake character from Rango was based on Lee Van Cleef. Ohh those Movie Maniacs. I'm on my second Jason, but so far he's doing fine. I have Pumpkin Head, but his arm has been glued on for 20+ years. I have Snake Plisskin, and his jacket is the only thing keeping his arm attached. I had a Candyman, but my dog ate him. I used to have Shaft, but various limbs fell off. I used to have Michael Myers but his head fell off, and I lost it. I have Darkman and Freddy, and they are both fine, except that I bought Darkman loose and he didn't have his hat. I have The Tall Man, which I freakin' love. Out of fear, I never opened him. If I did, I'm sure something would go wrong. Same with Robocop, he's perfect, and I'm afraid to open him up. I should have kept all of them carded.
I always wondered if Rattlesnake Jake was based on one of the old West stars, that makes perfect sense! Seems like him and Rango would be perfect figures for a company like Neca to crank out. Yeah the fear of exploding plastic is real, I feel like there was a good 10 years or so of McFarlane product being made of sub-par plastic that would shatter if you looked at it too hard. We all share a group trauma, haha!
@@2guystalkintoys I had a bunch of Spawn stuff, and I had much better luck with those. Don't get me wrong, most of the bangles, and chains and shoulder pads would drop off over time, but I was able to extract them from the package successfully. The first wave of KISS action figures McFarlane made were the absolute worst. They just slowly self destructed. They were like a secret message from the IMF.
A Pup Named Scooby Doo was a fantastic cartoon. I needed to say that. Also props to Dana for name dropping Turbo, Ozone, and Kelly. Then referencing Brooklyn's In The House by Cut Master D.C. Now I wanna talk about The Flintstones Movie. The set design, the costumes, and the cast were absolutely perfect. Then they wrote the screenplay. What on earth did they do? It's a travesty. They wasted all of that great work. I haven't thought about Reboot in a long time. I think the little guy who came with 90s Ultraman was named Jack Shinto.
It's funny you mention how good the Flintstone sets looked, that was always something that stood out to me when I saw the commercials! Even though I didn't see the movies, the overall look actually worked, it's a shame that it was ruined by bad writing. You're spot on with the human that came with Ultraman, I remember being so amused by that figure because at the time I didn't fully understand how Ultraman worked or why he needed this little dude hanging out with him.
@@2guystalkintoys I still have that Ultraman figure, and the trading card that came with him, but I have no idea what happened to little Jack. He just sort of vaporized.
At the end of the day, all GI-JOE characters are infantry. One dude's wearing a wetsuit, one dude's wearing a snow suit, there's a pilot, and an astronaut, and another dude is Fridge Perry. You give them a rifle, and send them to the front line. I appreciated the Scuba Steve reference. Nice pull.
I always loved that you could pick a Joe that matched pretty much every situation imaginable. Frozen Tundra, get Snowjob out there! Battle three miles beneath the Earth's surface, Tunnel Rat, you're up!
Dear Two Guys Talkin' Toys, I was sitting here watching the show. I turn my head, and there on the wall is a spider the size of a toddler's hand. It's about a foot and a half away from my face. I don't know how, but I know you did that. For future reference, I do not require my entertainment to be that immersive. Your's Truly, Mr.Daledark P.S. There were giant chrome bug monsters in the climactic 3rd act of the original Power Rangers movie. Those were cool. I do not believe they made toys, but they were cool.
We spent a lot of money and time to catch, train and transport that spider across state lines in time for the show. Show some appreciation.
@@danayoumans-ze7nr I have offended you with my ignorance.
This sounds like the 4D experience I wasn't prepared for when I saw Rouge One!
👍👍👍
Thanks, man!
Dana's shirts represent the perfect first date. BBQ at the Boar's Nest, followed by a night cap at the Regal Beagle. I realize one is in Georgia, and the other is in San Diego. Maybe you have a private jet, don't over think it. David Cronenberg's Turbo Teen movie sounds perfect.
I've long suspected that Dana is secretly a millionaire who hides his wealth so we can keep doing the podcast, haha! I would love to see a Cronenberg take on Turbo Teen, complete with horrifying practical effects, complete with a gross-out toyline!
We skipped over the Rancor. Straight to the Wampa! That purple guy was the worst.
I love that you mentioned Big frank. I have a Big Frank who lives on my night stand, and that's where he has lived for the last 30 years. I cannot believe you didn't mention the Rancor. That was an awesome toy we never had. When I was a kid, I loved all of those monster characters from the Blackstar line. There was a fish dude, and a cat dude, and a demon dude, and a crappy looking purple guy who's legs were way too small.
I agree with Dana about Ironman figures. I don't, nor have I ever owned an Ironman figure because they have not yet created the Ironman figure I want. I will buy the 3.75 inch Marvel legends Ironman, because I love that line, and that is probably the best Ironman figure ever made. Still i would love to see the full size Marvel Legends line get it right. If they do it, they can have my money.
I was never a huge fan of Iron Man, but I liked the one Hasbro did based on his design in Marvel vs Capcom, that one looks pretty good! Man do I miss that 3.75" Marvel line, I really wish Hasbro would bring that back, they really seemed to hit their stride towards the end and I was sad to see it go.
@@2guystalkintoys To me that line is what I always wanted. Everybody is a perfect classic representation. Everybody looks the way they did in the old 60s cartoons. They look the way they did before the 90s, when comic book artists became rock stars and had to put their own spin on everything. They look the way they did before we had Hollywood actor faces attached to characters. I agree, I think they should have continued. Not that I have all of them yet, but I would like to have seen some more of the Spiderman rogue's gallery. I would like to have seen a Nick Fury. Did they make a Punisher? I absolutely love them. I just picked up Captain America the other day. I find all my stuff in the wild, so it takes longer. I don't buy figures online very often. That's why I'm just getting Cappy now.
I can't imagine getting to a point where I would stop buying toys. I have never NOT bought toys. Some years I bought a lot of toys, and some years I only bought a few. But on any given day, in any given year, I might see a toy and buy it. I will never like sushi. I will never wear flip-flops. And I will never stop wanting toys. Amen.
Preach it, brother!
How the hell did I forget FAMPS what source did u use?!!?
He actually showed up in the Arrow TV series. Accurate costume too!
I'm a little surprised they used him, but I guess he's a pretty easy, more down-to-earth character that translates more easily into the more grounded world Arrow was trying to establish. I won't lie, I'm glad studios have come around to people being okay with characters that just have super powers and don't need everything explained away with technology.
Wild dog does need a figure! Nicely done
What about The Watchmen? We got movie figures, but to my knowledge, we never got comic book based Watchmen figures. That seems crazy to me. One of my favorite toy related memories was going into Modell's and seeing the Super Powers line for the first time, with Superman right out in front. A DC character who never got an action figure? ....WILD DOG!!! Does anyone remember DC's answer to the Punisher. His name was WILD DOG!!!
Oh man I forgot about Wild Dog! Memory unlocked! It's funny, one of the first ever comics I remember getting was given to me by my grandmother, it reminds me now of Marvel Comics presents because it was about 3 or 4 different stories in one book. One was the end of a weird story with Animal Man, the end was a rando businessman locking himself in his office only to be confronted by a rabid B'Wanna Beast. The other story was actually Wild Dog! I think it was him having trouble taking down a gang or something, but the issue ended with the first appearance of Wild Pup jumping into the fray to help him!
I love that Dana dropped Corporal Kirshner into this. Last month I was at my local tiny comic-con, and there was a vendor there selling the old LJN rubber WWF figures. I was looking at them for a while, and in that time several different middle aged dudes wandered over and talked to me about 80s WWF. None of them remembered Corporal Kirshner. Not one of them! I was a fan, and I had that figure. I was sad that nobody remembered him. Thanks Dana. Rambo is interesting in this context. The character was invented in a book, as a criticism of US policy, and the treatment of returning GIs. Then he was repackaged into a cartoon as a patriotic force of freedom. It's kind of like the song "Born in the USA" , which was certainly not received the way it was intended.
How did they not remember him? Savages. That is a great point about Rambo. How he ended up a cartoon is beyond me. But we have seen that a lot during that time period.
I am Ergo The Magnificent, short in stature, tall in power, narrow of purpose, and wide of vision.
I mean lint brush. There was a shoehorn with an old car as well
I do not remember that store at all, although I do remember the shoehorn.hmm How did Barnyard commandos slip my mind? I think I bunch them with the Cowboys of Moo Mesa...? I do remember the hamburger army man death cook out. Likely toxic but we turned out ok....at least I did, anyway and that is what counts.
Let's get into the way back machine for a minute. There used to be this little store in what was once a house, somewhere between Shirley and Center Moriches. It's where I used to buy WWF trading cards. I also remember one Christmas, buying my uncle a lint brush that was attached to a wooden Model-T. It was a neat little store. The point of this is that they had a Rambo figure, before the official Rambo figures came out. It must have been an import of some kind, and every time I have mentioned it, nobody else had ever seen it. I have never seen another one anywhere else. Did I dream that? All I remember is that I couldn't afford it, and I bought some more WWF trading cards. I had all of those at one point, and I have no idea what happened to them. Also, in the time of the Food Fighters, and Army Ants, there was also Barnyard Commandos. The full sized articulated Army Men figures in the 90s were based on a Playstation game called Army Men. It was like Medal of Honor, but for kids. The one line I would love to see would be the classic CORPS characters recreated in a GI-JOE:Classified style. Many of those CORPS characters are just as iconic to me as the classic Joe characters. Somebody should secure that license and take The CORPS into the modern age. I have to admit that I was actually more into the little plastic Cowboys and Indians, but I definitely played with Army men too. Dana forgot to mention the time my dad was grilling burgers on the patio, and we threw a few Army men into the hot coals to watch them melt. Dad was not happy with us.
I am 100% with Tom on the opinion that Folger's coffee is terrible, and the SNL bit where Chris Farley freaks out over the Folger's Crystals, is a masterpiece.
It took me forever to find that skit again and holy cow, it's even funnier than I remember! ua-cam.com/video/VdQKVDUBu2g/v-deo.html
@@2guystalkintoys "With God as my witness, I'll kill you!!!" ....Thank you. I haven't seen that since it aired live.
That would be a cool display piece
I think there should be a LEGO set for the chrome ball thingy from Phantasm. You put it together and it's about the size of a grapefruit. Somehow the blades and drill bit would be retractable, and it would perch on a nifty little stand. I would be happy to buy, assemble, and display that.
Haha, that would be awesome! Add a button you could press and hear the Tall Man yell "BOOOOYYY!!!"
The Thundercats cartoon was produced by Rankin/Bass, who were most famous for creating Rocky and Bullwinkle, Underdog, and the Rudolph stop motion Christmas specials. They also produced the animated Hobbit movie. The cool thing about that is you can watch The Hobbit, then immediately throw on some Thundercats, and you'll recognize some of the voice actors as well as the sound effects. It's really cool to think of Middle Earth and Third Earth existing in the same universe. If I'm remembering correctly, the Cobra ATV was called The Ferret.
That's amazing, I only knew Rankin/Bass as the people who were behind the Claymation Holiday specials! I agree, it's too easy to imagine the Thundercats running around Middle Earth or... that they might be on the same planet and were just unaware of each other. Now I'm also imagining an claymation Thundercats Christmas special.. how did this never happen?
I would like to see a Shaw Brothers All Stars line. Just mine all of those classic Shaw Brothers Kung-Fu flicks for the best characters, and make cool figures. I would also love to see Sonny Chiba get an action figure. Maybe you make Street Fighter, and Sister Street Fighter. Maybe you create a line that just focuses on the actors. So you get Sonny, and Jackie Chan, and Gordon Liu, and Bolo, and Sammo Hung. You could have the Five Deadly Venoms. This is an untapped resource. I would also like to see Super7 or Necca tackle the Chuck Norris and Karate Commandos.
I completely agree, I would love to see Sonny Chiba figures made, especially if you recreated some of his more iconic looks! Haha, and I think Dana would lose his mind if they made Chuck Norris and the Karate Commandos, I think Neca would do a good job with that license.
@@2guystalkintoys I cant believe I forgot Shogun Assassin!!! We need Lone Wolf and Cub. Did Chuck Norris and the Karate Commandos have a cartoon? I feel like there should have been a cartoon, but I don't remember ever seeing one.
I love those figures! They are so well done for a buck fitty
I grew up with late wcw and attitude era and enjoyed it. Its very interesting to me the way wrestling fans mostly can only handle the era they grew up with.
Also... love Molly Holly. ❤Love love love, despite its overusage😅
Yeah I've found that nostalgia (for better or worse) really affects the way you view whatever current era of wrestling is running. I like to think I'm pretty open minded, but I absolutely find myself more than a little put off by some of the wrestling I see today even though I'm sure older wrestling fans would have been equally put off by the wrestling *I* enjoyed when I was younger.
The Master was Lee Van Cleef. ...Also, I met Chuck Norris once. Ninja toys and Kung-Fu movies are two of my favorite things. I wanted every ninja figure when I was a kid. I read Ninja Magazine. Do you remember those cool Enter the Dragon figures that came out in the early 2000s? Sadly I didn't get those, but a friend of mine had them, and they were awesome. I'm glad you're doing a part two. We have entered the ninja ...now we must revenge of the ninja.
It is awesome that you met Chuck Norris! Was he a nice guy? Yeah I fell right into that demographic that immediately went for the ninja character no matter what the series, I don't know what it is that hits all the right notes for me. Oh man, was that the Enter the Dragon toyline the one that had Bolo Yeung in it? Those were *really* good to have come out in the 2000s! I wish a company would revisit that movie and give us the full cast, including Jim Kelly and a cameo by Jackie Chan, haha!
@@2guystalkintoys I went to see The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. When I walked out of the theater, I saw Chuck Norris. Apparently he had attended the show that night as well. I said "Holy shit!! Chuck Norris!!" He turned and smiled and shook my hand. That was the whole experience. I didn't have a cup of coffee with him or anything, but he did seem pleasant. That is the toy line I was referring to, and why the hell didn't they make Jim Kelly? John Saxon's character's name was Roper. Could you imagine if John Saxon played Mr.Roper on Three's Company and Norman Fell was in Enter the Dragon?
@@MrDaledark Haha, I'm glad you got to meet him, if only for a quick handshake! Holy cow John Saxon would have killed it on Three's Company! I also loved his work on Nightmare on Elm Street, we need a toy of him fighting Skeleton Freddy Krueger!
In the 1980s, HBO stood for "Hey, Beastmaster's On!!!"
I'm legitimately shocked that we haven't seen an attempted relaunch of that franchise as a standalone movie or a limited Netflix series!
Absolutely true!
When I was a little kid there was a General Lee, which came with GI-JOE style Bow and Luke Duke figures. There was a trap door on the roof of the car where you could open it, and put them in their seats. I also remember getting the Buck Rogers ship at a yard sale, and that was pretty cool. Then later, I got the Knight 2000 voice car for Christmas, and that was a banner year. I had also gotten that REMCO wolf guy, so Michael Knight would drive around the living room floor for a while, and then have a fist fight with the anthropomorphic wolf dude on the couch. GI-JOE had too many to name, but the HISS tank was the first one I got, so it holds a special place for me. I can't remember the name of my favorite He-Man vehicle, but it was a tank like thing, and then the detachable front piece was the little air skiff/bike thing they always used in the cartoon. My favorite Ninja Turtle vehicle was Shredder's purple Cadillac convertible, which I used for Big Boy Caprice. In Star Wars it was always the Twin-Pod Cloud Car, which is the only thing on this list I have in my current collection. My favorite thing I never had was the Shuttle Tydirium from the Return of the Jedi line, and the Speed Racer MACH-5 that came out in the late 90s. Also among the best was those Mad Max style Tonka trucks that Dana has. They were the most perfect Dreadnok vehicles, but old school Tonka tuff. I could name a few thousand more super peachy vehicles, but I'll leave it there. I do want to mention that Dana got me Dick Tracy's police car for Christmas, and I had a blast putting it together and applying the stickers. As an adult collector, I have very few vehicles, and it's been probably 30+ years since I assembled a new one. I enjoyed every minute, and it looks awesome on my Dick Tracy shelf.
I love this idea of Michael Knight throwing down with a werewolf! Considering how off the rails (no pun intended) Knight Rider got towards the end of the series, I'm kind of surprised that didn't happen!
This was so fun, y'all. I almost died at the Toro bit.
Haha! This infamous game of Toro has been a point of contention in my family for years!
That was a lot of fun. Thanks for having us on.
Tom mentioned Shane's. That makes me happy.
Haha, I loved going to Shane's as a kid, I think most of my Imperial dinosaurs came from there! When Cheap Johns started popping up I remember thinking "These are nice, but don't compare to Shane's."
@@2guystalkintoys I remember getting Adventure People from Shane's, but because of the big clown face on the sign, it's one of my oldest memories. When I was real little, my parents had a Vega, and the only memory I have of that car is going to Shane's. Cheap Johns was great, but I also have great memories of Odd Lot, and a store in Center Moriches which I think was called The County Dump? I got a ton of Remco AWA wrestlers there, and there was a sketchy arcade in the same plaza.
@@MrDaledark Holy cow I forgot about The County Dump! I remember getting some weird toys from that place, you really never knew what was going to show up there. Didn't they turn that spot into a movie theater?
@@2guystalkintoys I honestly have no idea. I haven't been back to the island since 1994. I used Google map to look at Mastic Beach and Shirley not too long ago, but I didn't scroll my way out to Center Moriches. The last time I was out that way, Woolworth's was still open.
@@MrDaledark Oh man Woolworth's! I remember them having a surprisingly good selection of both He-Man figures, but then you move over an aisle and they'd have the Remco figures too! I was sad to see them shut down.
Dollar tree done a line of figures called final faction that are actually pretty sweet. They sort of went all in with it with a comic book and a couple episodes of an animated series here on youtube. The figures were cool to be from dollar tree that usually had nothing memorable. Humans and a dog named Churro versus Aliens called the Kharn.
Bro, a Pokémon VS Digimon cross over would be absolutely positively legit. Or Magic the Gathering VS Yu-Gi-Oh. NECA did an epic line for Resident Evil 4 with some really cool figures and accessories. The one I had was a Los illuminados monk with sickle character, enemies in game that if you shot his head off another creature came out of his neck socket you had to defeat it too or it would actually bite Leon the playable characters head off. The toy actually came with a removable head and the attachment of the neck socket plaga creature so you could swap the heads. Probably spent less than fifty on it back when the game was new, now you gotta mortgage out your house to get back into collecting them. And thats just the NECA figures. Hot toys did some stuff for Resident Evil 4 aswell that's even more expensive.
That sounds amazing! I want a monster in my head
I feel like Pokemon vs Digimon needs to happen before the two properties eventually morph into one another on their own! I remember being really impressed by the number of Resident Evil figures that were cranked out in the early 2000s, Palisades did a really good job burning through most of the characters. I almost picked up Nemesis and Mr. X but held off because I didn't want to fall down that rabbit hole.
I was about to lose my mind if you two were about to start poo-pooing the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie. I own it. I have watched it many many times. I love it. That's all I have to say about that. I'm all in on your famous dogs line of action figures, but you have to include C.H.O.M.P.S., and a Falcor build-a-figure. ....dude, seriously, why has nobody thought to do a Never Ending Story line?
Haha! I remember not wanting to watch the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie and being so pleasantly surprised by what a good job they did! To this day one of my favorite moments is when the main character pokes her eye and the kid version of her falls over. It blows my mind that there hasn't ever been a Never Ending Story toyline, it has such a great cast of characters, and who wouldn't want a giant Falkor?!
@@2guystalkintoys ...and her name is Karen Sympathy. I have spent a lot of time talking to friends about what toy lines have not been made, and if I'm being honest, it's because they would sell incredibly well. Sure, Dana and I both think a KRULL line would be magnificent. How many people would actually buy them? That's another question altogether. However, The Neverending Story is universally loved by at least three generations. They would sell. Then again, look how long it took for The Princess Bride to finally get made. Maybe somebody is already planning to do it. The bonus would be the figure for Princess Aaaeeowaaa!!! ...we could finally see her name in writing? ...wait, is that on IMDB? Hold on ........Nope, she's credited as "Childlike Empress" ...maybe her name was also Karen Sympathy?
Great episode. Glad yall are back. The McFarlane Mortal Kombat toys are so much better designed than the vintage Hasbros IMO. I figured Pokemon would come up, guess that's past you guys time maybe? PS Tom did you like Spiderman Unlimited, it has Spiderman in a dystopian steampunk world fighting anthropomorphic creatures plus his usual villains.
We should do an episode about toys based on games like Pokemon and Bakugan
We're glad you enjoyed the episode! I agree, McFarlane did a really good job with the MK figures, I hope he eventually hits the rest of the characters and doesn't abandon the line with so many waiting to be made. Haha, I remember Spider-Man Unlimited! I think I owe it a rewatch but I was not a fan of the show at the time. It felt rushed and disjointed, I hated that Venom and Carnage were just randomly working together. I'm a sucker for anthros though so I did like that the villain was the High Evolutionary and his Ani-Men. I don't remember off-hand if they ever made toys for that show... I don't *think* they did, but don't quote me on that.
