I'm a little surprised they used him, but I guess he's a pretty easy, more down-to-earth character that translates more easily into the more grounded world Arrow was trying to establish. I won't lie, I'm glad studios have come around to people being okay with characters that just have super powers and don't need everything explained away with technology.
What about The Watchmen? We got movie figures, but to my knowledge, we never got comic book based Watchmen figures. That seems crazy to me. One of my favorite toy related memories was going into Modell's and seeing the Super Powers line for the first time, with Superman right out in front. A DC character who never got an action figure? ....WILD DOG!!! Does anyone remember DC's answer to the Punisher. His name was WILD DOG!!!
Oh man I forgot about Wild Dog! Memory unlocked! It's funny, one of the first ever comics I remember getting was given to me by my grandmother, it reminds me now of Marvel Comics presents because it was about 3 or 4 different stories in one book. One was the end of a weird story with Animal Man, the end was a rando businessman locking himself in his office only to be confronted by a rabid B'Wanna Beast. The other story was actually Wild Dog! I think it was him having trouble taking down a gang or something, but the issue ended with the first appearance of Wild Pup jumping into the fray to help him!
