Talk about a treasure. I was looking through an old book by Sam Hawkins I purchased in the nineties. I found two finished Santa pieces in the book. OMG I was so excited. I stitched them twenty years ago. Now they are on my tree standing so proud. I love it when you dive in a bag of goodies. Merry Christmas

Hi Sarah, yes, I have used the coloris 4515 and stitched a little house, needle work pattern on brown fabric and I loved how it ghosted in certain spots. It was a lot of fun.

Hi Sarah - I like the look of Coloris wrapped tightly around the outer hoop when I’m using it as a frame. This practice can get pricey on medium to large hoops. Also a few years ago I found a free download list of the DMC #’s that make up the Coloris combos on the DMC website. This may help you out on future projects. Merry Christmas! I have a basket of patterns that I have bought frames for. I determine the stitched size of the design then look for thrifted frames. That works good for me.
Whale - reminded me that I was watching a flosstube the other night and they showed a new pattern - from The Blue Flower, that was in the Kitten Stitcher box - which was a whale, wearing a sweater, and snowflake bubbles in a sorta heart shape. I thought it was pretty cute, even though it wouldn't be something I'd stitch. Put that book on my to read list!

I have used DMC coloris floss many times. I use it on single-colored designs or Quaker designs. I stitch on 14 count Aida and use the loop method. I use the floss the same way I use any floss. It comes out variegated. My friends who see my stitching love how it looks. Please try the floss soon. I'd love to see how your stitches turn out.
for large things like your cording, I put those things in my pretty picnic basket. so no dust gets on it, and I can keep that basket out all year long.
