I mainly speedrun Driver 2 and play car games
My First Run of The Classic Syndicate in 33:40!
The last time I've played this was around a couple years ago? I remember enjoying quite a lot. Sadly the project didn't see the addition of the other cities yet, but it's still really fun to experience Miami in a lag free environment. It's not ReDriver but it's good enough! Plus I quite like having to play the missions we usually have to skip in runs since we go in a different branch of missions.
The run itself was alright, this was my first finished run with a timer and being just a minute off Viper's time felt encouraging. The obvious time lost are from the chases, I'll have to sit down and both learn the patterns and figure out a quick way to tell them apart, with the timer now not being an option. Traffic might be a solution à la Driv3r.
Probably will give this a bit more tries, this is mainly because I'm showcasing this at our Driver Marathon this Saturday.

The second part of the complete stupidity that was this playthrough. I started to hit more roadblocks (and time issues as an appointment I had was starting to get nearer and nearer) which made it that I had to require more "rule breaking" if we can call it that. SPEED AND POWER! Yeah that's today's theme. I saw on UA-cam someone messing with the traffic cars speed and was curious if I could pull off something similar with REDRIVER2. More Cheat Engine chaos! Like I talk in the intro, the idea came from gabdriver2 who's been messing with these cheats lately and I decided to try out a full game playthrough. Havana's police are the most aggressive, in my opinion
i can't manage to do the same with my game :( i got the cheat engine & MrSam's cheat table, but i don't see any line to change to get this as a result :( very fun playthrough nonetheless, it's good to see Driver 2 still on the run 💪💪
From quick memory it's something called boost or something similar in the player car's stat

Could you post a link to the game and the mods? I tried downloading them some time ago, but the game was so buggy that it was just unplayable. I'm not sure if I was using the right versions.
I'll try to find a moment to edit the info in yeah, it is indeed a bit jank to get running these days since it's a old mod and it struggles with the newer version of Driver Syndicate

for some reason, the blocking vans in the coumpound in chicago are not moved by the games's car physics system, interesting
Yeah I was surprised about that too. I guess the way the game moves them isn't just to accelerate them normally

Hey, I've been looking to play this game again with ReDriver 2, got it working and all but, where did you get the HQ frontend ?
It's part of the later versions, nothing I added myself. The cheat engine stuff require a late version while I usually speedrun on Beta III due to the timespliter being made for it. That one still has the OG font resolution if we can call it that. You can probably see some issues still, some text being wrong (Skip Cutscenes becomes Retry Mission for example)

You know it's a great idea when your challenge conditions screw you over in THE VERY FIRST MISSION, lol. The one without pursuers, just "go from point A to point B" kind of mission.
Yeah hence the timer cheat right away, at first I thought it would have been a one off thing for one mission every so often but safe to say beating the game normally would have taken years.

You'll need Mr.Sam's Cheat table and the cheat engine, I basically use that to edit the speed of the traffic cars.

It's technically the normal game with some tweaks done using the cheat engine. In this case the traffic cars got their speed quadruple
