Wine is an important part of Hungarian culture. Red and White wines are excellent and they can be paired very well with some of the Hungarian dishes. We discover some wonderful wine producing regions like Villány thats famous for their Cabarnet Frank, or Tokaj where the world famous Tokaji Aszú is being produced, but we also have look at Balaton where excellent White Wines are produced, we learn about historic places like Eger where the famous Bulls Blood Cuvee is made (called Bikavér in Hungarian).

I’m gonna be visiting Budapest for 2 days next week after I spend time with family I’m Poland. Gotta say your videos are extremely helpful!
You are best
Thanks again! I enjoy the wines when we are there and those we can get here.
When I visit Hungary next time, I would like to try them from different regions. I don't know much about wine but it will give me good idea for gift for friends. By the way, recently I have heard about interesting Hungarian culture, Name Day. Do many Hungarians celebrate it? And when is the name day for Ákos?
When we go back to Hungary to visit my wife's relatives, I have a hard time watching them water down really great Hungarian wines with seltzer water. But you are right, its not too bad on a hot day. I like white wines so Badacsony is my favorite with Tokaj second. One of my wifes cousins went to seminary at Pannonhalma so we always seem to drink of lot wine from there when we visit, and it is excellent!
great video as always!
👍🏻👏😉🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very informative video! A smaller wine region with some good wines is the Neszmély area. Akós, do you happen to know where Törley sources its grapes nowadays if not from the Buda hills?
Last summer I went and bought some wines at a Borkereskedés on Dohány u. Picked up a olaszrizling and a chardonnay. Both were fantastic. On top of that I got a bulls blood, I believe it was from Eger. And last but not least a I got an Aszú. And don't get me wrong I loved the Aszú, but I struggled to taste the difference between that and let's say a late harvest wine or an Eiswein. Please don't ban me :P Only sad thing was that the store I shopped at, wouldn't ship some wines back to my hometown in Denmark.
My heritage will never visit...miss ky dads hungarian meals...all the hungarian restaurants in us gone reolaced with hit dog stands
I’m visiting Budapest from the 25th of October to the 28th of October 2025. What is the best micro brewed beer with the highest content of alcohol. I’m from Edmonton Alberta Canada.
Hey there! I can't really say which is the best beer like the one you are looking for, I generally don't like beers with very high alcohol content, but most of the local craft beer brewers will certainly have some, they like to get very experimental 😀 You can try to check out beers from MadScientist at their Madhouse location, or the First Craft Beer Bars (there are two in the city center), or Gravity Brewing. Fehér Nyúl is another brewer I enjoy, their brewery can be visited usually on weekdays but sometimes they are open on the weekends. Hope this helps 😊
Tram Nr19 and 41 from 'Margit híd, budai hídfő' to 'Gellért tér' runs on the other side of the Danube and has also very nice view. Tram Nr 4 and 6 is very useful to use to get around the city center and sites.
Good good 🎉
que agradable sujeto.
So there Is a really good trik for having the app show the water funtains....and what Is It???😂😂
We actually show that in our Budget Hacks video 😊 but the trick is to go to the Filter page in the Budapest Go app, select the Budapest Info drop down and tick in Drinking Fountains 😊
@StuffedCabbageAdventures thank you. I watched that video but somehow i Lost that particolar. Anyway me and my wife Will be in Budapest this next week-end and i have rescheduled half of our program After your videos, so many thanks ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
I'm Canadian and my wife is Hungarian. We live in a small town by the sea near Vancouver but with an apartment in Újpest so we're frequently in your country. We're an older retired couple but enthusiastic hikers. Last May we hiked UP Badascony Hegy via the 464 steps Bujdosók Lépcsöje because we're "mad". Apparently the stairway was built in 1936 and the translation I have is "Outlaw Staircase". Speaking of Mád :) - that's where we bought three bottles of 2500 HUF sweet furmint from Grand Tokaj to take back to Canada. There is nothing like it here in Canada. I took two bottles for kind friends at Christmas in Vancouver and they were astonished - one guy said he never liked wine and was completely taken aback by the honey like taste. I've written down your Balaton wine suggestions for our next trip!
Hehhe, true, now that I think about it, Bujdosók does translate better as Outlaw :) Cause Outlaws need to Hide from the hand of the law 😀 Excellent choice with the Tokaj wine as a present btw, I also really like the Furmint from that region 😊 We'll be dropping a video this week focusing on the many Wine regions and the different wines of Hungary, maybe you'll see some more interesting recommendations in that video as well 😊
Szia Stuffed Cabbage Adventures! I love your videos! I will be travelling to Budapest in a few months, and want to know more about the BKK 15 day printed pass. Do I need to validate this printed pass every time I get on the public transport system in Budapest? or can I just show my printed pass when asked by an official? Nagyon szépen köszönöm!
Hey there! The 15 day pass does not need additional validation after purchasing. When you buy it you'll need to set the validity starting date and time (by default it's the time of purchase, but you can set a future date as well). It will be valid for 15 days from that point, no need to validate separately, just show it to the inspectors when asked, or to the bus driver when it's a Front Door Boarding vehicle 😊 Hope you'll have a lovely time here!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the Support! I hope you are having a lovely time in the city, and also enjoyed Gettó Gulyás yesterday 😊
Budapest, Hungary shouldn't be confused with Bucharest, Romania.
Great video. Shoes on the Danube was a very emotional moment for me. Thank you for this point..
You have great couple vibes
Hi, what's the app called that You show at 10:40?
Hey there! It's the Budapest Go app, we explain it a bit more in our Public Transport introduction video 😊
You consistently create outstanding content! Your videos are captivating and I appreciate your excellent work - please keep it coming!
Thank you so much for the kind and supportive message 😊
Never knew about the Sunday market over by Corvin, im going to be in Budapest for 3 months starting on Jan 15 and will have to check it out, but first thing Sunday morning is always the flea market over in Buda.
Sopron also had the Volt festival for years.
And it's a pitty it doesn't exist anymore, I loved visiting it back in the day...
Thank you for this video! Could you share the exact addresses, architecture style, the architect and year it was built next time?
Thanks for checking this very old video of ours out! 😊 If we make a follow up in the future, will see if we can add more information to the buildings we show 😊
I'm Hungarian and I love pörkölt
People really don’t put this city on UA-cam And it’s sad
Krempite-creampie...😂
Budapest's historic cafes are gorgeous, until you bite into their dirty little secret: cakes made with margarine!
Thank you very much beautiful videos
