note that when using mad dog mode with AIM-120, although your own plane radar will be off, the missile does have its own radar that will still trigger the enemy airplane's RWR for inbound missile. this is a function best used with the F45 which can provide weapon guidance without a high frequency sweep scan that alerts the enemy plane of an incoming lock. it can also be useful for off-bore/high aspect activities. both of which are better done by IR guided missiles like AIRS-T or Aim9X. neither of these give an RWR warning and are quite a bit more maneuverable than AIM-120. mad dog mode is basically in case or emergencies or for trolling purposes.
Hello! I tried to follow you on how to record two perspectives on OBS and I cannot figure it out. I do not have the same tabs and stuff as your OBS (I believe OBS had an update or something in the last year). do you have any ideas on how to help?
Nevermind, I figured it out but its making pay to have multiple views
If you set your canvass to double high (File>Settings>Video>base (canvass) resolution) you can have 2 full screen views then you can split them in editing later. Mine is set to 1920x2160 for 1080p recording so I can stack 2 views

Formation takes a little getting used to but I try to pick a spot in the view and aim to keep the jet fixed in that position best I can

How do you get an accurate gps location on the sam radar. It jumps around on my tds and the cruise missile always misses
Jam until you are within 20 miles then use the TGP to get a visual lock. You should see a green bar at the top of the info box in the lower right of the TSD screen as you are trying to get a lock. When the bar is full you have a good firing solution

Part of me really likes that we’re literally build in the space station, but the other part of me is kind of disappointed since not seeing where your resources go was mysterious.
It would be a nice touch to be able to go up to the station in the late game after the final phase is complete
@@TheFerretsWheels Yes! Even if it was as barebones as Sabnautica rocket stage and cutscene. It would have been very cool. But even though early access is over, the updates probably are not. We shall see what happens in the future.

Yea, I first noticed this with the portable miner. I mean you only really use it at the very start of the game and then never again, but they still put in the effort to beautifully animate it. The game is pure satisfaction down to the tiniest detail
The animation for this is a little off when I view it on medium graphics setting, but the lift platform also blops out of reality briefly before the start of the animation here too, so I guess it doesn't have anything to do with that.
Yeah, I think it’s a little big with the timing of the animations changing
I kept building ladders to get up there and see how close I could get - made it to the death height, but it hardly got bigger in my field of view and I realised it must be even bigger and further away than it is on the ground. There's heaps of new voice lines in 1.0 too, the dead-pan humour is brilliant and has gone up a notch. 👌
There have been a few of the ADA voice lines that have had me chuckling
It might be programmed to always render 1000 tiles above the player, too.
I think it's just part of the skybox, not an actual object.

@@notme8232 jokes aside, it isn't in the skybox, it's a 3D object in the game world. Launch yourself across the whole map in a hypertube cannon and keep looking at it - you'll see

Hey man, i'm the new guy in your community😅. Just subscribed😉. One thing i have to add about missle-ivasion. If you dieabled the "g-limit" in thr game menu, your game no longer limits you to "9 G"'s. What that means is, you can pull much harder, most i saw was 14G's, which not a single missle i know (in the game) can pull. But of course that is only possible for a minimal time window. Also, G-forces are easier to pull, the faster you are. For example, if you fly at Mach 0,5 you will never reach 10G's, but if you fly Mach 1,2 the 10G's become ridiculously easy to pull😊

I think I got high and low mixed up at that time. The best method to check what is pinging you is the FRAZ screen. That shows the azimuth (direction) which you can then reference using the compass points on the TSD
Hey Legends. This is a reupload of yesterdays video with some changes to the Audio. Thanks for your feedback on the last video letting me know the audio was off, I appreciate all feedback, good or bad. I also has a copyright strike even though I credited the artist as requested so it was easier to just remove the music from the video. I don't have a great deal of free time at the moment and took a week off work to make this video, so when a "royalty free" artist does something like this to try and steal the tiny bit of revenue I get from UA-cam (about $25 a month on average) it gets a little upsetting and frustrating. Hopefully no more issues with this one. Thank you all for your patience and support with my videos.
Do you have to toggle the DRFM jam off and on in between incoming missiles? I'm curious what would happen if it stayed on between two missile shots. I was making the mistake tonight of thinking I had to DRFM jam the missile itself. That made things very difficult and I wasn't a very good EWO. And does DRFM jam work the same on enemy air units? edit: from the manual for the EF-24G "Optimal strategy to go jam (post-launch DRFM specific): 1. Ensure in EW Master Mode (RECOMMEND EWO TASK) 2. Set a pod to DRFM, max power, one antenna 3. Select the missile using one of the following: 3.a. TSD 3.b. FRAZ Note: the FRAZ is the easiest display to select missile on as they will be shown at the very top of the high band section 4. Start jamming 5. Perform hard maneuvers to exit radar FOV if ARM" So I'm wondering if you got lucky in your video when you pulled off or what. Problem is, it feels like the missiles are hard to see to snag on the TSD/FRAZ before it's too late.
If you are jamming the same unit then you shouldn’t need to reset the jammer. If the unit tracking you is different then you will need to switch. Jamming using DRFM just spoofs the return signal slowly moving the radar return off your aircraft. The greater the distance, the longer the jamming has to spoof your position and the higher the chance of evading. If the missile is active radar guided then it still has the potential to require if it is close enough for “burn through” which is why heavy manoeuvring is also advised the throw off potential reacquires as the missile is going to be heading to where it thinks you are. By moving as far away in 3D space from your original trajectory you increase your chances of surviving

Not anymore, they got nerfed in the EW build. Height and speed still has some effect on range

I’ve never had the issue but I have read about checking windows speech recognition is on. You have to make sure the game window is the main window. If you have any other apps that can take input priority it can mess it up. Other than that I am not sure what it could be

I've been trying to muscle landings for ages and doing horrible, this is so much simpler and obvious I'm surprised how silly I've been haha
How do I control the wingman's behavior, do I need to set it in the "AI Fighter" properties menu, or do I need to activate them during events so they do what I tell them to do, fly in formation, or do what I tell them to do?
When I set the AI fighter to "set player commands", I was always told at the beginning of the game: You don't have a wingman
The AI have to be in your group to control them with voice commands. If the player is alpha then they can control any other AI in Alpha

3:43 do you need something turned on or installed for that screen to work as mine looks blank when i go into it. theres no bands noise or green bars or anything i can interact with on that page.
The XMIT page shows your jammer pods so if you have no pods equipped you would get nothing in that screen
I want to create a mission where friendly AI moves to enemy airports and attacks automatically using GBU, AGM188, Cruise Missile, etc. Is there a way to do this? When I make it, AI drops only one GBU, fights with a gun, and only evades it
There’s no way I know of without being specific in their actions. You can set priority and designated targets and conditional actions and sequence events to control which units get attacked but how the AI attack those targets is decided by the AI unless you specify actions like bomb a waypoint or fire anti ship missile
@@TheFerretsWheels does that mean AI uses GBU autonomously? When Ai use it, Ai is try to use GBU, but Ai don't use it and avoid it Can you test it later?
You can test the AI by creating the action you want to test in a single player mission. Set the player unit to force equipment in the mission then when you start from the mission editor it will skip the helmet room. You can enter dev cam with INS on the keyboard. Cycle through units with [ and ] and end the mission with DEL. The mouse controls the camera. Right click is for moving the camera if I remember correctly, and mouse wheel will zoom.
I don’t have the mp unit
You need to make a campaign then there is a check box for multiplayer. All multiplayer games have to be campaigns even if it’s only 1 mission

If you have jammers mounted/equipped and you’re in the air then I’m not sure without seeing myself.

It depends on what they are set to for default behaviour. Parked won’t move, take off will take off as soon as they spawn, path and orbit will also take off to either follow the path or orbit the point. You can delay their actions with events

When I put the weapons and go in I turn on three master weapons and everything but it still says that there is no arm
If you have weapons on the pylons and the master arm is on then it shouldn’t show no arm. Could be a glitch. Try verifying the steam files and see if that fixes it
@@TheFerretsWheelsit was actually working i just thought that when i put the master arm switch cover back down it would still be on like how the engine covers do but it turns out you had to keep the cover up😂.
how do you get the diamond on the missiles?
Since the EW update when the EF-24G was released the hud diamonds were removed, so you need to rely on the RWR now
