It’s worth mentioning that the stock GM RVC feature has 6 modes: charging, cruise, deceleration regen, desulfation, high performance, battery warming. So, by just leaving it stock your lead acid battery will last longer, truck will get better mileage, and engine will make more horsepower. Just putting that out there so folks can make an educated decision on what they want to do.

This is a man fed up with the idiocy of UA-cam mechanics. Not to say there is anything wrong with learning off of UA-cam. I watched thousands of videos to learn to change parts out but i have a little common sense.

I replced my alternator because the power wire melted to the bolt but now with my new alternotor the power wire gets really hot after the fuse but before the fuse its cool should i worry?

I've been looking at your product line to purchase a high amp alternator. to run a 2000W DC/AC inverter on a 3rd gen Civic 1.8L at idle. This is interesting information.

The reason changing belts is scary specially on boat engine is because not all belts are made the same and it's already difficult to find the original belt so getting smaller belt might be ok initially but what if they are no longer available in the future. My example is for a Volvo Penta 5.7 belt is part # 3862665 if you have the part number for a smaller belt that will work I'll definetly buy this alternator for my boat.

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota with a 240 amp Mechman alternater. It's been 3 years since and still working perfectly. If you want the best Mechman will beat the rest.

Original problems "I installed the MM-VC1 but regardless of the setting from 70-100%, there is no change from 13-6V-13.7V and ends up with a "service battery system" after a few minutes, even though it remains at 13.6-7V. There is continuity from the unit red to the alternator alternator pigtail end and shows OUT at unit. As soon as GM pigtail is plugged in and started shows standard 14.8V. Is the GM signal 120HZ or 128Hz and is this causing the unit not to work on a 2013 Silverado?" There was a bad connection between the red wire harness coming from the unit to the 2-pin short harness. The single wire black male-female connector does not make good contact due to loose wire in the connectors. The wire was pushed in on both parts and now works perfectly at a constant voltage (80%-14,8V, 79%-14.7,etc.) regardless of RPM on a 2013 SIlverado 5.3.

thanks for the pt1 and 2, I had a small case gm HO alt on my 92 s-10 build, I parted it out an sold the alt, the client who purchased it states away thought the alternator was broke bc of the miscommunication caused, the vehicle he was putting it in is a 2016 after mentally diag it and determining the issue this video absolutely supported my hypothesis, I really appreciate you making these 2 videos!
