Carnivore Diet: Why It's Not Just for Weight Loss - Health Benefits Explained
carnivore is a "fad"diet. and the fad is going away. dont quit your day job!
Oh yeah, totally a "fad"-just like how our ancestors thrived for thousands of years on meat. Guess they didn’t get the memo about kale smoothies and quinoa bowls! 😉
Our ancestors didnt live long. go find some facts.
I started Carnivore 8/6 and I've been eating like you. I also have been wondering if I should go a little tighter on this way of eating. Pain is still persistent. I am sleeping much better. I still have trigger finger as well. We'll see. Good luck to you!
Starting is the most important part, so you already did step 1. It will take time to truly start feeling the benefits. I went up and down through this journey in my first 100 days. Keep it going - you got this!
@@kristinnicolecarrera Thanks!
it may alternatively be the added chemicals and the subtracted nutrients in ultra processed foods that were making you sick and depressed. That said, I’m still on a carnivore Ish diet and I’m blazing forward so far so good one week.
I definitely think the processed foods and chemicals in our foods was contributing to my depression and all the symptoms I had.
Chuck Eye Steak is similar to Ribeye but less expensive.
Yes :)
I get probably an average of 2 Migraines a year. Never had one in my neck !
I think a LOT of people fool themselves with foods in general. I think a lot of those people could have their "name the irritant" ground up with other things never to have a reaction.
Say you go the " 30 " days and it works great what then ? Is it possible to go "forever" eating just 1 thing ?
It’s more than one thing, it’s any ruminant meats - some have but it’s in extreme cases like Mikala Peterson
Eating Zebra ?? Like the Panda bear eating Bamboo only
Nope
Very intriguing idea, Kristin. Will be interested to find out what kind of differences you see and feel! Good luck!
Thank you 😊 me too
My problem is that if I add more fat I either dont lose weight or I put weight on.
There is probably something else that may be cashing your weight gain. How long have you been on carnivore? It sometimes takes time to start losing weight. This is a great video to check out - ua-cam.com/video/BYCnpoa1SdI/v-deo.html - Dr. Ken Berry
Also: weight is irrelevant unless you know how your composition actually changes. Water, fat, muscle mass. And regarding fat: not all fat is unhealthy (subcutaneous vs visceral and even superficial subcutaneous vs deeper ubcutaneous). Having more of the right fat (superficial subcutaneous) is actually healthy.
Thank you. I didn't sleep well last night and was feeling fatigued and craving pasta. I grabbed a can of seltzer and got through it but that was scary. I felt like just thinking about spaghetti was going to stall my progress. 😇
@@mkshffr4936 totally normal 🤪 I love pasta so I totally get it. But you pushed through it and that’s a huge step!! You got this
My anxiety is the same. Its exhausting. Have you tried somatic experiencing to work with it and calm the body ?
I'm so sorry you have anxiety, hope you can find relief. I have not tried it, have you?
Yep definitly Red Bull is the last thing to try.
I had a tired day today and it doesn't happen often. I definitely didn't get enough electrolytes and only slept 5 hours. Felt great in the morning and got a good workout and breakfast, but I lost energy at work. Forgot to add butter and salt to my breakfast. I'm sure that contributed. Thanks Kristin!
Notice what you eat and drink when feeling tired, it truly makes a difference
Hi I suffer from migraines since 15 years... I started carnivore 2 days ago ,how long it take for you to get ride of migraines? Do you add salt on your water ? Thanks
It took me the first 30 days to really see improvements. Definitely look at electrolytes - I link the one I use in most of my videos in the description and lots of water.
Good tips, thanks Kristin!
You're so welcome!
One month and half of being carnivore and already I can do two meals a day, sometimes OMAD but in this case I snack some cheese or milk butter or boiled eggs
@@majidouba keep it up :)
Anyone surprised? How can one be so naive to think that AI is not biased?
This is the fist time I’ve found it so bias - AI is learning and a lot of times I’ve been able to give it information from other doctors and it corrects itself but Claude refused which is crazy
Carnivore for three years feeling younger every day
That’s amazing! Did you have any health issues prior?
I haven't been doing carnivore for more than two months. What hunger? It's the first thing I've tried that left me satisfied and losing weight.
That’s so great - keep it up
If you get hungry eat more eggs and meat
Magnesium....double of the reccomended dose
What brand you take?
That's amazing. "AI" at this point is NOTHING BUT GOOGLE. That's all it is. If "Claude" there was an expert on health and nutrition, then it wouldn't be speaking in such bland propagandisms. All it's going on is: "What does Google want you to think?" And then it spits out that answer. I mean this in a technical sense -- "AI" language models is just statistics used to predict word choice.
Very true!
I eat 2 huge meals every day on my carnivorous diet. I have just the opposite problem of never having an appetite at anytime during the day or night. I struggle to finish every one of my meals and never snack between meals either. Fatty meat is very satiating.
That’s so great, and I hear this form most people. For me, I’ve always gotten full fast and can only eat so much (since I was little) and If I try to eat more I feel bad so I just listen to my body. I think we are all so different.
wow! definitely won’t be checking Claud out
Good food (meat) is medicine. Bad food (carbohydrates) requires medicine. I've been carnivore for around 5 years and have a long list of health benefits including only going #2 2 to 3 times a week. Keep on going and your body will heal.
It's amazing to hear others healing. Thank you :)
That is what gets me. I feel hungry and always fall off.....😢
It’s probably because you aren’t eating enough protein and fat. It takes time for your body to adapt. Just eat when hungry, snack if you have to until your body adjusts
You’re not eating enough fat. Get fat trimmings from your butcher and render it down in your slow cooker (low and slow for hours). Strain into a glass jar and refrigerate. This pure white liquid gold is what you will cook with and add to everything you eat. I will also add pan drippings, Melt butter and roast liquid from slow cooker to add even more flavour. So healthy and satiating.
Same. Really difficult. I just had brisket for lunch, it was a little too fatty. Now I don't want brisket anymore. I'm back on, but my pallet really gets tired of eggs and steak. Still pushing forward.
@@andrewgeraci72 sometimes I add a little cheese on the side and I mix it go with chicken and organ meats when I get bored 😉
@@andrewgeraci72 Try changing up the meat you eat - try chicken thigh, seafood. It's okay to change it up so you don't get tired of the same thing. How long have you been on carnivore?
What hunger?
When going for a long run, should I pack a steak or a bottle of melted butter instead of sugar water? I really struggle to do 2+hours with no sugar.
Maybe just try water with electrolytes 😅
@@kristinnicolecarrera Electrolytes won't give you energy. You need sugar for endurance exercise. How am I supposed to run on a carnivore diet
Wow thats insane. Did you catch the Alexa bias on the presidential candidates as well? This garbage happening more and more. Gotta keep calling it out. Thanks for sharing, Kristin.
Yes I saw that go viral and we tried to do it here at home but they had already removed it. It's absolutely crazy.
I dont have any disease and i tried carnivore just for trying purpose and now its hard to go to the normal food. vegetables..
Did you feel any improvements even though you didn’t have anything specific?
@@kristinnicolecarrera When i used to travel to office i used to keep 40 min seperate for poop time and used to wake up accordingly. When i say 40 min i say 30 to 40 min minimum. sometimes it used to go to 1hr too. my family used to make fun of me. 😅. now i go once 4 to 5 days. mental clearity better. joint pains better. mood stability.. iam an indian we usually eat meat on sundays and 6 days its plant based.so it was difficult at first now its fine..
@@tusharmore7801oh wow well that’s definitely an improvement- it was probably all the plants you were eating 😅 - glad you’re feeling better
@@kristinnicolecarrera I didnt know i was feeling better untill i did carnivore. I assumed everything is supposed to work like this with anxiety after eating carbs ,long poop times etc.
The best result I've had so far is my auto immune pains have completely gone and they were very severe. My own depression has gone but somethings still not right yet after 18 months. What is amazing I think is, since stopping the seed oils I felt so much better within a week or so and my breathing became easy whilst walking. It's the fake foods being cut out which is the real benefit of this way of eating.
That’s amazing! As for something still feeling off, take a look at what you’re eating and try to eliminate it for a while just to see (like maybe dairy or coffee)
I've been doing Carnivore on and off for 13 months. I love they way it makes me feel. My extremely heavy period and cramps GONE. I no longer sweat, all my anxiety and depression gone. I have a addiction, which makes it hard to stay on track. When I eat fat and enough food my cravings stay away. Good luck on your journey.
That’s amazing to hear ❤
“Not everyone is on the same journey…” right on sister! I wish more people understood this.
It’s definitely something I believe in, we are all different so we have to find what works for us ❤
Beef bacon, buttery scrambled eggs, and coffee with heavy whipping cream, one egg yolk, and a few drops of iodine.
Sounds great!
I still like sweets. I have cut way back but I do occasionally have the dessert. I just do! Then I move on back to my regular "Keto-lite" and IF lifestyle.
Eggs and Bacon with my Coffee is my go-to everyday too! That breakfast keeps me full and energized all day. It's a requirement for me lol.
Same - it will be a challenge next month with the lion diet but we got this 😅
Ya boy's bday is coming up soon and I 100% plan on splurging on Pancakes and Ice Cream, lol. It's my guilty pleasure once a year, but I'm VERY excited to start the 30-day Lion Diet Challenge. I'll let you know how I feel after bday weekend if any symptoms arise.
Can it be oxalate dumping? I was having weird symptoms that came and go out of blue. And then I read about oxalate dumping that described my experience very well.
Personally for me no because I’ve been carnivore for over 7 months now 😊
@@kristinnicolecarrera There are people who start having it right away and some start having it after years on no-oxalate diet. There is case in "toxic superfoods" that a man was having oxalate in urine after 7 years on carnivore. O_o
@@OneActressTeatre Usually oxalate dumping takes a few days to weeks but they do say that eliminating it from your system can sometimes take a year or longer - so it's hard to really say if it's still effects from the oxalates. I wasn't eating that many vegetables before I started so it's almost been about a year now. That's crazy about the man that had levels in his system after 7 years 😵💫That's why I always say every body is different because it just depends on the individual.
All very true about the moderation model being flawed. Unfortunately, there are many folks who aren't willing to go any further than moderation! It's certainly not optimal, but still far better than no changes at all!
I agree, irs great to start somewhere but sadly most of the time moderation extends to bad eating
From Canada 🇨🇦 3rd year into carnivore and keto. Long list of ailments that definitely improve if I'm strict enough!
That’s so great 🎉
You should check out the Southwest Ranches Community Farmer's Market. This place doesn't sell anything from the area just the legal "local" produce.
"Everything in moderation" has always been a damn trap. It's just annoying at this point when I hear someone say it because it's precisely what a drug addict would say. Sugar and carbs are addictive by nature. I've been a victim of this for years and finally dropped that mentality a year ago. I'm now inspired to make a video on this too, lol. Thanks for pushing out that message Kristin. Super important.
We are so programmed that “moderation” is okay. When I saw this quote I had to share it ❤
Awesome, big congrats!
The positive side of people questioning you is that they see the results you're getting and end up looking into carnivore or keto themselves. If you're consistent then it breeds inspiration among others.
That is true ;)
Good advice. But, how do you remove the noise with 4 children surrounding you? 😂😂
@@ianstuart5660 Haha, the noise she's talking about is people questioning you and thinking you're crazy for being so extreme. Pretty sure she meant it metaphorically.
@@bryanhenry87 Yes, I was talking more literally as she has 4 children, I believe!
@@ianstuart5660 Well I have 3 so I just like to put in my earbuds and listen to a podcast or music while I cook 🤣😅
Thanks for helping humanity waking up
Aldi bacon is great
I cheated while I was on my carnivore diet too. It was hard the entire time. She was my neighbor but looked at me like I was steak. I just couldn’t resist. 😊
Well, at least she's made of meat, still carnivore
Humans ARE carnivores, just like Lions , tigers, cat and dogs.
Look up Dr. Ken Berry he will be a game changer
Yes I follow him ;) he's great
How are fruit animal based, what!? 😂 and honey is just unhealthy, period.
An animal-based diet includes fruit because it focuses on getting most of your nutrients from animal products, but certain fruits are added for extra vitamins and nutrients. Even though fruits don’t come from animals, they are still allowed in and animal-based diet. As for raw honey, some people think it’s not good because of the sugar, but there are studies showing it has benefits like antioxidants. Everyone’s different-some do well with it, and others prefer to skip it. You don’t have to include it if you don’t want to! 🤪 If you check out Dr. Paul Saladino, he has a lot of info on this.
