Can a grown man ride a Royal Enfield 350 from New Orleans to Atlanta?
Hahaha, same thing happened to me on my 350, except that my phone died and the only way i knew how to get home was getting on the highway for a few miles. I also became a believer that time, this bike is awesome!
Looking good bro.
In india we lack in this kind of beautiful open road man !!..love ur video ❤....im gonna buy an enfield soon !❤
Thanks for the video! Beautiful point of view but I must say that you use the clutch very badly...it was horrible for my ears and I think this is bike for slower and calmer ride. Anyway this is fantastic bike with great sound! Best regards from Poland!
U did right, even with a sport bike, it would have been dangerous to stop in a hurry, they already had an emergency, with you on the ground ...= 2
Bro ... why music in a motorcycle video? And for the love of god stop slipping your clutch
2 things... you are burning your cluch by releasing it so slow like that. You are overusing it even in second gear. You get smooth shifts by controlling your throttle input, not cluch alone. Secondly: you don't understand this engine at all. This is a long stroke engine. It likes low rpms. You are losing the optimal torque and power range by thinking that you'll get more power output from high rmps.
Hey, I appreciate the help - I am still not certain I understand what you mean by "slipping the clutch"" This is a wet clutch, the bike is meant to be used with the clutch, but you seem to be suggesting that it doesn't need to be used. Can you point to a video that might better explain what you're trying to teach me?
@MotoSoup ofc you have to use the clutch. You are causing premature wear by releasing it too slowly when you upshift. You are pressing the clutch, then changing the gear, then accelerating and letting the cluch go slowly. You should press the cluch, change gears, release the cluch smoothly ( not necessarily slowly) feel the gear engaging and then apply power. Ofc you can ride your bike however tf you want. I'm just telling you that you are causing premature wear and overheating your clutch.
I think long stoke engines like low rpm.. High gear ,low rpm..
I'm there, man !! Awesome sound of magnificence
Why do you slip your clutch every time you upshift ?
What do you think I should be doing? I am not an expert at much of anything. Are you saying that as opposed to clutchless shifting?
I don't think you were doing anything wrong. Not sure what he's referring to.
Joereedmusic is right, you're gonna wear out that clutch fast doing it like that. you should only slip the clutch when starting from a stop, when you're shifting there's no need.
@SuzukiRider93 so he's too slow in releasing the clutch when upshifting in gears from 2 up? Maybe, maybe not. It's a wet clutch, right? Heat causes clutch wear. If it were a dry clutch type of bike, it would be worse. It's probably not a significant issue at all.
@@Joe.O_623 Yeah, it's complete bullshit. A successful gear shift is one that you don't feel. If that means being slow on the clutch, that's absolutely fine, and a decent driving instructor will tell you as much; Clutch in, shift, engage the clutch with a bit of gas. If your speed changes while the clutch is still slipping, you weren't as gentle as you could be. The clutch is a wearing part that can be replaced with relative ease. This is how manufacturers expect you to shift, and they design their parts accordingly. There's nothing to worry about here. I've only once worn out a clutch on a bike, which took me about 35,000 miles.
What tyres do you have on the bike? Edit: Those look like the stock Ceats, if you're doing a lot of off-tarmac then maybe look at the Heidenau K60s, Bruce at Coastrider Scotland seems very happy with them on his Classic 350 and rides some very rough surfaces. Also they are excellent value at @£200 the pair and are lasting well (for Bruce and a few other Classic UA-camrs as well).
Yes, the stock Ceats are still on it, thanks for the tip. I'm looking at putting an engine guard and maybe some aux lights on it too.
can you travel at 120km?
no, I max out at about 110-115km or 68-72mph -but the speedo will indicate 120km
Nice country roads to ride in, I'm planning a trip soon over to Katy Tx on my Re Hunter
The Hunter would be a better option for some of these dirt/sand roads for sure. Are you in Texas? Where are you coming from? I am out east of Houston near Beaumont, but spent a lot of time over near Katy

What a beautiful place with this bike❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The bike looks so good and your outfit makes it even better
Nice bike, nice video. I just got mine a week and a half ago: signals ‘22 discounted off the showroom floor. I couldn’t be happier with it, such a smooth little thumper.
Is that one of those throttle controllers which act like a cruise control if so is it good? And what’s it called please?👍🏍️
Beautiful road
Hope your bike didn't get damaged to much? Different question the cruise control on your bike does it work good? I'm planning on a long trip with my classic 500 thsnks for your time. Nick from canada
Hey, thanks for watching. The throttle lock works fine, it slips some after awhile so I have to keep adjusting it, but for longer rides it gives you enough of a break to rest your right hand that it's 100% worth it.
@@MotoSoup fantastic thanks for the info stay safe.
it happens , on my new Re last year on March 2nd day took out was getting ready for a short ride on that windy day here in Tx.. the wind knock the bike down while i was getting ready
Just when you think to yourself, “I got this” I hate when that happens. Nice ride.
1 because you can move the view
Dude, you’re a 2x4…a stud. 😂😂😂 Not really sure about that, but I’m convinced you got balls. 👍👍👍
I was riding my RT through the Rigolets, a swampy area outside of Slidell, LA Saturday. I noticed something in the road ahead of me. It was a 4-5 foot alligator crossing the road. Made me wonder, why did the alligator cross the road? Maybe he forgot his alligator wallet?
oh i see you went by an HeB food store one of my Fav food places to shop.
Nice day to ride, very nice town too, can't wait for better weather planning a trip over to Katy Tx on my Re Hunter soon
Some people always complain that these RE 350‘s are dangerously slow and you couldn’t use them on public roads in the US…😇😂 You showed them that the are fast enough to survive AND have some fun! I borrowed a 350 Classic (Halcyon Green) a many times here in Germany and survived even our Autobahn (which I do daily with my 125 scooter!) These lovely bikes may not be the fastest, but in smiles per mile they are top notch! May I ask how many miles you have now covered?
Thanks for watching, I picked this up at the end of August 2023, and now have just over 2,000 miles on it. I did the 300-mile service including the valves, but it sounds like the valves need to be checked again. I am waiting on the FuelX Lite since I'll need to take the tank off I might as well do both at the same time.
Would love to see how the bike handles in town, as it looks to be awesome for those chill trips. Also, what are you planning on wearing for gear during the Texas summer?
Texas has some great FM, Farm to Market roads that can take you anywhere in the state you want to go without getting on an Interstate highway, Check them out.
Like that you don't feel the need for music soundtrack or incessant chat. Very relaxing to just hear the sound of the wind and exhaust note. Cheers
nice ride beautiful scene, can't wait for low winds & sunny days
at 61yo i had to give up my heavy HD, last year got me the Re Hunter 350 just love riding the long Tx country roads..
Great to see you back! What's your camera set up? I like the chest mount wide angle!
Thanks, it's the DJI Osmo Action 3 on chest mount, 1080/60fps, with Rocksteady
Hi, I'm not a mechanic, but it seems like you should adjust the valves, there is a sound of valves clicking Great video
too me it just sounds like tires picking up small pebbles off the road
I own the Classic 350 in bronze & you just can't appreciate this bike until you ride it on the Yorkshire country roads. I feel a little sorry for you that you only have the flat, wide, straight roads. Although I feel sorry for myself with the weather you have. Safe riding.
The sound of the engine is like Tom jones singing sex machine
Well, you can't beat that!
I enjoyed that. Never been to that part of Texas and, now, I don't need to. ;-) The bike sounds really good. and I enjoy the fact that you're not afraid to wring it out for all it's worth. That's how a small thumper should be ridden.
😍😍 from Catalònia
OK I put 4000 miles on my classic in the last eight months and I've done 0 miles on the interstate bravo
Why did you put that awful music so loud in the background? People would much rather just here the bike!
He Stevo, sorry about that... I am new to all of this and made mistakes, I am learning and wish I had done things differently with that trip, but I can't change what I did back then. In the original raw footage, I had a mic running into my helmet, and couldn't hear the sound of the engine much at all, but you could hear a lot of Darth Vader breathing. So I decided to use music. Sorry it's not your taste, but I have newer videos and have learned how to capture the engine sound.
What's that valve clatter ,is the valve adjustment pending 10:47
You know with my headphones in I didn't even hear it, but now I do. I adjusted the valves at the 300 mile service, and it has about 2000 miles on it now, so while it's not scheduled for a valve service, I might need to go ahead and recheck it.
If they’re a little loose and making noise, that’s okay.
get a more free flowing full system exhaust that will open up the sound
Agree - I am thinking of doing the exhaust and the DNA airfilter
@@MotoSoup that would be a great video
Welcome to Texas! I am moving back to Houston in July and am considering a RE classic 350 and look forward to seeing you ride in Texas. How has the heat output for you been. I am worried about texas hot days and riding with a oven inbetween my legs.
I live in Arkansas where it gets "Swamp Butt" hot, and I have a R/E Classic 350. The heat from the motor is not an issue, but the outside temp if hot will cause your speedo to stick.....Unless the new er models have that issue fixed.
@@jimglasco that's awesome, how's your experience riding it here in the states, do you feel it lacks for city use and is just a Sunday cruiser? I plan to use it as a daily driver to give my truck a break.
@@swimmerdawg123 It's a great bike for daily use, and handles city riding fine....my only concern would be a reliable theft deterent..., these bikes draw attention, and though they are inexpensive, could be some thief's dream bike.
Thank you so much for not playing music over the sound of that lovely engine.
Had my bronze and chrome classic for a year now, love it....N.E. Arkansas has great country riding with good roads.
Thanks for the video. I too own a RE Classic 350. I'm still in the 300-mile break-in period here in NC. Next video, tell us more about where you are and what you see. Just a constructive suggestion.
You have a beautiful bike that more and more people in the U.S. are going to be interested in. This video had a great long-view perspective, which was nice, as well as a pure sound quality. I liked and subscribed because I would like to see you grow your channel. I can only suggest what I like in a video myself. Using interesting, useful textual or voice-over information on videos where the rider is not speaking and riding simultaneously adds to the interest value. Stuart Fillingham videos from the U.K. master the technique of useful and interesting voice-over content. Good luck.
Great video I have the same bike in green and love it!
