I really, really, really want to get back into playing. Other life events have been preventing me from doing so (excuse?) maybe, probably. I am an eternal beginner and want to be able to "please" myself with great playing. Thant's my sob story.

I liked the football (aka soccer) field 😅 Similar story here… when I returned to guitar after the usual career, family period I used my discipline to just do it no matter what. Get up early, take the guitar on every biz trip, just *ing do it. Then came Covid and biz travel stopped and gave me a chance to play in bands again 😊😊😊Biz travel has resumed but I now plan my multi week trips around the gigs we have. No excuses, it often is painful with travel and jetlag but worth every bit of effort.

Do a lesson about blues "RUBBING notes" that are notes that are rubbing against the key or rubbing against the chord tones. Lesson on "Guide tones" lines how to add guide tones and the theory of guide tones.

Ok, after watching most of this video, it’s clear that you are a very natural talent but do not fully comprehend how to teach. Most Intermediate guitarists are not able to pick up what you’re demonstrating by ear or by watching you go through solos. We need readable diagrams! I’m sure there in your book but the lack of them in your video kills my interest in going to the next step to purchase your book.

Variety is the spice of life and the spice of solos. Great ideas on adding variety to solos, like adding chords, double stops (mini chords), and the 6th. Nice job!

Very nice lesson on how to make your solos more melodic by adding new ideas and new ways of thinking while playing. Something all guitarist need to do. I enjoyed your examples bringing the ideas to life!

TOTAL GUITAR TRANS, APPROACH#2 Playing a B minor STRUCTURE inside an E minor pentatonic scale, the B minor is the minor (v) chord, how is this hexatonic? Do you start and end on the note B instead of E? for APPROACH#3 Playing a D major STRUCTURE inside an E minor pentatonic scale, the D major is the bVII Chord, how is this hexatonic? Do you start and end on the note D instead of E?

How do I get the book🎶

I broke out of the box over 20 years ago thank god! I'm not a school player. The few lessons I taken were guys who played in toured with Albert collins, Albert king, Stevie Ray Vaughan Johnny Winter I learned by sight, and my ear I do not read music. I'm not into fancy scales, I dropped playing rock and roll and strictly love playing Blues.

Hi, I got your book and get what you are saying as far as dedication toward goals, but I am 69 and don't play every day but got the book because I love hendrix stuff. That being said I glanced over your recommended listening list and concur of that list, however there is a guitarist that no one ever mentions (even you) and yet has influenced many artists - Frank Marino, Jimi and him are at the top of my listening and favorite list. He just doesn't get the recognition he deserves imho. Keep up the good work!
