This lesson is about scales, and why they can block our sight when overly practicing scale shapes. If you are not familiar with the "Hendrix Chordal Style" then you should change that - it works wonders in a Blues/Rock setting!

Great material.
Thank you for the link. Watch the view numbers rise, I'll be back to this again, and again.
Great to hear and happy to help!
Wow, you play so nicely.
I just found ur channel, and been binge watching ur lessons ! Very inspirational and exactly what I’m looking for to take my playing to the next level! I struggle to know what Chord I’m on when trying to phrase ideas how do you keep track of each measure to land on target notes? Thank you 🙏 subbed
Good question! I'd love to see how I might be able to help, this is not something that can be answered in one simple sentence. Please email me at info@ulrichellisonguitar, thanks!
it is a must to thinks in shapes and patterns, small block. Thinking about 6 strings at a time over 4 or 5 frets is nuts.
@@guitpizz exactly 🔥🔥
Underappreciated video.
Yes, scales are good, as long as they're regarded as tools, guidelines... Not absolute rules, or dogma.
We do need some organization and foundations........... Some people are wired to think in terms of rigid rules and guidelines and some want freedoms. That's all well and good, but the minute creating music becomes secondary to arguments.
Great work here, learnt something useful.
Thanks Dennis! You said some good stuff 🔥🎸
@@totalguitartransformation well, I just play around for fun, not really an expert or anything.
So helpful, thank you so much, I'm going back to my guitare, I'll see you there, Smael
Great to hear!
