Natural hair looks way better on women of African decent. The only straight hair I like is kinky straight it looks like a blow out at least but bone straight doesn’t look good 👀

It’s 2024, can ya’ll please let black women do whatever they want with their hair! They look good with anything they rock. Stop picking on them. The world is burning up but ya’ll still can’t let black women live in peace!

Thank you for this video and for showing appreciation for Black women's hair in it's natural state. . Your hair looks so good on you! I've been wearing my hair natural since 1999 and love the way my 4c hair feels when I touch it. Maybe some black women do have naturally straight hair, but from my perspective, straight hair looks strange on most black women. It's giving the same fake, strange look that most Black men give when they wear their hair straight (see James Brown and Al Sharpton). I don't think most black women like their black men with straight hair. Why do we think straight hair looks ok on us, but strange on black men who have the same phenotype as us? How many black women would date a black man with straight hair? I don't know any who would consider it.

As an old person who has always had very thin, very fine, straight, very flyaway hair where you see my scalp. I have always envied women with thick curly hair. I’m so happy to see more women getting their hair styled in ways that enhance the beauty of their natural hair. My best bet is a super short pixie because I don’t even have enough to get a weave. Though I have considered just shaving it all off.

I was just talking about wig blindness to my sister the other day because we had seen this sister with a crazy shiny wig and couldn't believe she thought it looked good. Samantha cooker a UA-camr had the audacity to come online to say our natural hair does not look good on us while sporting a stringy flat wig against her very broad features. We have a major problem. Im in my 30s and was part of the first wave of the natural hair movement in the 2010s and then it turned into wigs which lead to the lace fronts. I believe you are much younger than me and I am extremely proud the younger generation has decided to embrace their hair even after their older sisters told them to hide it. We are beautifully made just as we are and we need to stop hiding it.

Babe, its a hair hat. Its not that deep. Funny enough, being "natural" is NOT a traditionally black/ African cultural concept. As a matter of fact, it is not a norm for almost any group of melinated people. Most of us have worn wigs, hair extensions (along with tattoos and other adornments) literally throughout our history. The only people to sparatically strip their women of their peacocking in order to control them were WHITE EUROPEANS- most recently in the 18th century during Enlightenment period to signal purity and virtue (kind of like the virtue signaling here) So when you tell black women they are only beautiful if they remove whatever they choose to adorn themselves, you are ironically telling them to be exactly like white women. Removing adornments is mimicking white people isht. You are uplifting their cultural standard as they are the only people on any continent, for whom glamorizing yourself (creating something fantastical) ever trended. The girls that do like their ancestors are fine. The girls adopt white standards of adornment are fine too. But if your going to do a think piece, actually put some thought and research behind it instead of yapping. Its the equivelent of being a podcast bro

Yes yes yes. Start creating wigs in black peoples hair texture. Stop wearing those straight hair wigs. They like to say it’s convenient but that could be en excuse. It’s about time somebody, please start this new market for black peoples hair.

I perm my hair and I’m fine. I don’t touch my scalp and take good care of my strands. That being said, if you got the time and money for maintaining curly hair, do you boo. I’m not one that thinks we need to worship at the alter of any hair style. Do what works for your life style and keep it moving. But I agree, throw those nasty wigs away 😢…treat your hair however you want… but they making too much money of our hair obsessed community. That goes for guys too. If you want us natural. Why you chasing Becky? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣

I'm a 58-year-old black woman who has never even thought of wearing a wig.. Not even on a bad hair day.. I'm two and a half years into my salt and pepper locs And I see these young women older women all women all ages wearing these hats that look absolutely ridiculous.. Don't be a group of them and they're all wearing the same weird ass hats on their head without telling one another girl you look like a fool. They think they look good.. It's so embarrassing and so cringy.. I just don't understand it.. That being said I'm also not a fan of weeds and have never had one. Braids hanging down your ass which is another hair texture. Everybody's cosplaying!!! We are out here looking like fools.

And let me add this, I was a hair model in my youth. Every relaxer box or Black hair product ad you've ever seen, has been modeled by a natural haired person. That is a press & curl on that ORS box. Do not be fooled by marketing!

As a Caribbean woman nobody ever said that in my country, we started with perm by the time we become teenagers. No way, my people would have been able to afford perm every 2-3 months. I think a lot of these negative factors are from African American worldview.
