Hey Guys thanks for your overwhelming support. Just to let you know I do have a speech impediment and it’s something I work on daily.
Love your Support and Dont forget to comment your mix in the comment section
I didn't even notice your speech impediment. This was fantastic material and has inspired me to get more into my personal style and challenge myself to show it through the summer. thank you :)
I love the way you speak you remind me of my daughter she has a speech impediment and she works so hard too. Your eloquence and ability to spark inspiration in others is remarkable ❤ you have a unique gift 💝
@@sherry7347 awee thank you 🩷
@@SanaaJadeCruz girl that is so sweet
@@Tatianaclicks I also have a speech impediment and this is so cool to me because it is such an amazing example of not limiting yourself. I have been wanting to do certain things but shy away because of speech . So, amazing job! You doing you on this platform is healing and inspiring 💖. Ty !
my comeback is very critical. i’m the main character of my life, so I gotta dress like the main character. period
I felt that ❤

Nice
It's nice to find an essence video specifically for black girls and natural hair! I would also suggest the mob wife and office siren aesthetic for the romantic essence.
Thanks for this comment! I really identify with the Romantic essence and want to explore more style options~❤
Yesss
Yes!
Utilizing the feminine archetypes in this way was absolutely genius. Begging for more content around this.
BEGGINGGGGGGGGGG
I plan to make some this month
I love that your content is geared towards naturals. And not just hair but that it incorporates personality, style, etc. Informative, humorous, and relatable. Please keep it up!
The centering of natural hair is everything ❤ please never stop
I’m an Asian girl here, and I wanna say thank you for providing a different perspective, it helped me to better understand the principle behind the essences bc of the variety of examples you provided. I feel like I watched other videos on the same topic but it barely made a dent in my understanding of fashion. Thank you for this!
I’m glad I could help!! I barely understood myself when I first learned about them!! So I just wanted to break it down
Respectfully❤
Sade (Sha-Day)
Zoe Kravitz (Zo-E Kra-Vitz)
ballet (ba-lay, it’s a French word drop the t in pronunciation and pronounce the ‘e’ as an ‘a’ like the last e in Beyonce)
coquette (Ko-Khet)
ethereal (E-thear-real)
Amazing video, not being rude just informative ❤
❤ Thank you dearly for being kind! We need kindness out here in these interwebs.
She has a speech impediment and it’s posted in her top comment 👍🏾
I like her channel but “ballet” and “ethereal” really bothered me
It was her saying woman instead of women for me@@TheKonnoisseur11
@@SpiciestBee Is there a speech impediment that makes you misspell french and otherwise difficult words both in writing (gamie) and in speech?
A classic everyday, a dramatic on a girl’s night, a romantic on a date night
I love this - diff looks for diff occasions 👌🏿
RIGHTTT
It’s so nice to see a guide that truly embraces diverse beauty and encourages us to find our unique aesthetic through our feminine essence.
Glad I could help!
I’m definitely the natural. I’m chill. I don’t want to be the loudest in the room but I want to be presentable
My best friend and I were messaging each other about this last night😭 about finding an aesthetic that suits us and then this video comes on my recommended👁️👄👁️
Glad I could help!
I dress according to how i feel, and I wear all of these styles
Same!!!
Yes I have many essences lol. I always say I am eclectic because I am all of these at different times and sometimes many of these at once because I have layers
Not trying to be weird, but the way you speak is so cute 😭❤
Awwe thank you!!
I gravitate towards natural, classic and romantic essence.
I don't know my essence but I liked this video a lot
Thank you!!
Same here.
Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable to the point that your self confidence shines through. There's not really a set essence it's just people's preferences and what makes them feel their best and most confident.
You are not the only one 😊
I am convinced this woman needs to be protected at all costs. The black femeale community needs your channel, Tatiana. Honestly.
Another Sista from London, UK
You’re so sweet!
I love how this vid is so black girl friendly yet up to date with today’s trends
I literally feel so lost about myself as far as styles and what looks good on me hair wise, clothing wise, etc. this is so helpful
Np Glad I could help. I will be posting more connect. Also learning my body type helped me a lot in my clothing selection
I was waiting for someone to break down why everyone is attracted to Tyla and her naturally allure on one of these femininity channels lol 😂 👏
Glad I could help lol!
I love the earthy black girl aesthetic.
found myself dressing up more dramatic since 2 years and my life literally changed. I have never felt so sexy and so me!
Thank you for centering this around black women 🙏🏾💛
Awh great video. Thanks for including women of all sizes ❤
Of course!! Thank you!!
I LOVE your channel especially it's focus on aesthetics!
I'm a writer and try to incorporate a variety of black women. These essences have given me another layer beyond our hair and politics! ♥️
Yess! Love to hear it!
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Definitely have a mix of Ingenue essence (majority) with a tad bit of that dramatic “glam” side. I also love all things heels, furs, and glitter sometimes!
This channel is so unique and a gift to your viewers thank you💖
Thanks for your support!
Our hair is like the leaves from the trees it captures the energy from the sun. God doesn't make mistake but humans yes. We divine perfect.
your videos are so thoughtful and fun to watch especially since our hair is centered. i really appreciate what you do
Thank you!
I'm a natural wanting to be a classic lol😂 Thank you for the information!
Don’t worry you can mix essences
@@Tatianaclicks Thank you 😊 I'll keep that in mind.
Me too
cracking up at the "I'm gonna cut you" comment about dramatics because it's so true! loved the video 💗
Glad you enjoyed
I'm definitely The Natural and The Classic. I just vibe so well with those looks. I like to keep it simple.
I thought i was ingenue, but I'm really natural 😊❤
some criticism to help your video include looking up how to properly say and spell certain words. the first essence is GAMINE, for example.
Thank you!!
I feel like I’m a mix of these essences! Great video, and thank you for featuring women of different shapes, shades and sizes! 🥰
Oh this is going to go platinum in the black girl circles
You are gorgeous! You are the true definition of an influencer! 💕
@@treasuredgold8888 Awwe thank you!!!
You just read my entire life, I'm a natural for sure and now I know some outfits and accessories to go for. Loved the detail of this video and all of the pictures, very wide range of women - love the representation
Loving you by Minnie Riperton was actually for her daughter, Maya Rudolph. She even sings her name at the end of the song. Cool video overall
"Everytime that we ..ooooh I'm more in love with you". THAT was for her daughter ??
Oh snap. I’m the “Natural” w/ a touch of “Romantic.” Thank you for this ❤❤
It’s so crazy because I vouch from dramatic to ingenue all the time and the essence are so so different
I love them all but the gamine and the classic.
The ingenue and ethereal ingenue resonate too.
1. Thank you 🙏🏾 this breakdown is so helpful as I’m building my music career and unneeded to describe my style. I’m definitely a little bit of everything, but an even mix between romantic and classic.
2. You can sing 🎶 it’s a muscle and your tone is cute 🥰
3. Love this channel! Love your voice and content ❤️
Awwe thank you! Wish you the best of luck on your music career
well done girl! this was enjoyable to watch! you did really great at organising and categorising everything neatly and easily to understand 😊
thank you
You surprised me. I didn't expect to be on the list. But I have Natural Essance. Comfortable and Simple leaning towards Streetwear. When i was a loose natural i always loved braids and twists, so much so that i left a set in and now have locs. I've always been perceived as chill and a fly on the wall, so it shows in the way I dress. Although as a wife I have an undeniable desire to lean more into Ingenue specifically Soft Girl, so i dress this way while at home. good video
Okay now, you are our fairy godmother periooood
Facts!!! 😂
I love this video so much. There’s so many diff types of women and that’s why I love them so much and love seeing diff types of styles. I hate when ppl especially women tell eachother what not to wear and how to present themselves because not everyone is the same we all have so much beauty I think we just need to enjoy that instead of tryna mold everyone into the same thing thank you for having natural hair on here. I didn’t kno what my style was until I saw the romantic genre u shared it’s me to the last detail.
Awe glad I can help!!
I feel a bit flattered that it seems that my comment about Tyla last week seems to have inspired this video😅
I think.
Yes you and this other comment haha!
Thanks
@@Tatianaclicks You're welcome!😊🤝
Tatiana you honored us all and I honor you. Thank you
Sometimes dramatic, but classic and romantic are My thing
I call my aesthetic geek fashion. I emphasize embracing geek media in my clothing in stylish ways. I was making videos on it for a little while, but I got tired of my equipment breaking and my camera is pretty old. I wish I could afford a new one.
I really love how the examples are all of women of color! I needed this!❤
This video was extremely well done, thorough, and beautiful. As well as very informative. If a black girl were to take this information and add color theory and personal colors with it, their personal style and esthetic would be next level. That's what I plan to do lol
Yess color theory!!!
Omg we need a pt 2! Cuz I feel like I lean more towards edgy/alt but I also love color, heels, pink and things of that nature. So please help me 😭💕
🎵I'm every woman it's all in me 🎶
I love all the photos and showing of natural hair. I just wish there was an easy way to actually find out what my essence is.
Just what ever styles you gravitate 2. You can have multiple
80 % Ethereal + 20 % Classic
You did an amazing job with the picture examples ! A suggestion for the another essence video is explaining how facial features and body types determine the unique essence blend that every woman has with photo examples
This was so helpful. I now know I'm a natural with a touch of ingenue.
I like a mix of ingenue, classic, angelic and natural with a good pop of color
Love it!!
Omg I haven’t finished the video but idk what I am! I might be a dramatic natural, but softer. I definitely give natural but when I dress, I dress up. Easily noticed in the room but it’s not a funky dress up. I love jewelry and a lot of it. With hair, and accessories, the bolder the better for me!
Or sometimes I switch between a romantic aesthetic when I dress up because I kinda have a romantic essence too. People find me extremely feminine and I have petite but curvy features. Idk if I should call myself a dramatic natural or a romantic natural, but most often I’m looking either natural or romantic aesthetics.
You can be a mix don’t worry almost everyone is
found out i’m an ingenue! just need to start being more confident in wearing it more. tyy for a guide for black girls !
I feel like I’m a classic/romantic /natural lol. I like to be my earthy self, but when I step out, it’s fur coats, patterns and prints☺️☺️
At work I tone it down because of my curves👀🫠
Thank you for giving me a name for my style…😂 never knew how to put it.
I recently found my essence, which is the natural essence. I found myself gravitating towards this essence. I love how low maintenance yet chic it is. I also recently got locs too. I haven’t been able to update my wardrobe but I really can’t wait to explore more into this
Minnie Riperton❤she is the comedinan/actress Maya Rudolph's mother. I love that you included her
Nice video with amazing visuals, thank you.
By the way, coquette is pronounced like this: "KO-ket"
Oh thank you!
Def a natural/romantic
Absolutely love and appreciate this video!!! Felt so understood when you got to the essence i resonate with❤
Thank you for making this. I have found my essence: the natural and classic. I can work on improving it. ❤️
I’ve always love the hiking, outdoorsy essence.
Sis! This is the BEST video I have seen in a long time! Very visually appealing, clear, concise, great examples! I learned that I'm a natural and will definitely be using this as a guide so i can start intentionally styling myself. Thank you for this information ❤👸🏾
You helped me put a vocabulary to what I already knew. I'm probably 80% natural/20% classic, which makes sense since there is a bit of overlap in parts.
Can you make a tutorial on how to do that hairstyle
This video is stellar!!! I love the examples and hairstyles you chose for each type. It made it so clear to figure out which ones resonate with me best (I’m a mix of dramatic + gamine + natural). I’m looking forward to more content like this - keep going, wishing you the very best ✨
Thank you so much!!
Love the video, and honestly felt like I pulled from several of these aesthetics in my own fashion. One thing I’d like to note is that Mini Riperton’s song was written for her daughter, Maya Rudolph, as a way to distract her while her and her husband “hung out” 😗. So not exactly about sex, but in the ballpark.
omg i loved this video *-* all these black references you´re on a spot! they aren´t very common on sm when talking ´bout aesthetics so good job girl u fvckin ruled well i´m Brazilian so i´m into different kinds of aesthetics but i got the point of the essences which made very much sense thank youuu
I like classic and ingenue.
Love this sis lol I’m the natural and love it! 😂 and got locs and wear a lot of neutral colors so that makes it funnier 😂 thank you for this video as a reminder we’re all lovely 😜
I love thissss! I’m into essences so this video is perfect for meeeee! I’m definitely romantic but i think there’s a touch of ingenue in there too!
Good video hon, good to see a dark skin lady talking about essences. Just wanted to note that I think you're defining the Kitchener essences in this video, not the Kibbe ones. Kibbe is more about how bodies are built, their height and their curves and using those to highlight the clothes, materials and hair that suits them. Kitchener essences do have some overlap, but they deal more with the "vibe" (for lack of a better term), that people exude. Aly Art is the channel that taught me about Kibbe essences. I'm a tomboy who is allergic to fashion, so it SAVED ME now that I have to enter the corporate world, lol.
As soon as she said Gamie I knew that was me
I am a the natural essence. ✨🌱🌴🌅
i'm definitely 'the natural' with a splash of 'the classic'.
Thank you so much. I’ve felt so lost with my hair and clothes. I appreciate it so much.
Not to kill the vibe but Minnie Riperton wrote Lovin’ You for her daughter, Maya Rudolph lol. You can even hear her towards the end of the song singing “Maya, Maya”. Lovely video nonetheless ❤
Yes she dedicated the song to her daughter. Like the sweet part of it. But I’m 100% sure that lyrics like “making love with you is all I want to do” and “every time that we *oohh* I’m more in love with you” isn’t about her daughter. Maybe how her daughter got her lol 😭
@@Tatianaclicksliterally
I loved it so much!!! ❤ this was so informative and I love that you are including natural hair in it, thanks for the content!
Glad I could help!
your hair looks soooo good
Omg thank you!!
are you willing to do a deep dive into each of these cause i would really enjoy that
The video I’ve been searching for!
Also dressing for your body type is important. If the clothes don’t fit, you can really exude “essence” or whatever lol.
I’m flamboyant natural! Most of these are based off of kibbe body type not just what is appealing to the individual eye.
this is the beginning of something big. if you’re reading this ml, i hope you’re doing well
1. Thank you so much for all your work on this video you have been a great help to me. I almost never see these archetypes with black women as the example.
2. I noticed you pronounced a lot of the words wrong like coquette, gamine and ethereal but it made me smile. Clearly you learned all of this from reading and researching and not just copying someone else so, brava! You have done an excellent job. Can’t wait to watch other videos from you 💜
Thank you love ❤️
This is such a nice break down bc I feel I embody 3 of these essences.
For work: Classic
going out/leisure: Romantic / Natural (I’ll bounce between both)
The first person that came to mind seeing style 1 is Tabitha Brown lol. I absolutely LOVE her.
Love this video so much. I’m a Romantic in public but a Natural at home. ❤
Thank you SO MUCH for this! I’ve seriously been trying to figure out what my “style” is, and I’ve been so confused lol. This finally put words how I dress. Realized I’m a natural essence✨but I pull from the others depending on my mood. So helpful❤
