Thoughts on the new Google Cloud Platform ACE Lab format and overview
Переглядів 2358 місяців тому
I tried out the new Google Cloud Platform ACE (Associate Cloud Engineer) exam format and shared my initial thoughts on it. It's worth noting that it appears that Google is experimenting with this format and offers it on limited days per month (which I'm sure is subject to change). Associate Cloud Engineer information (look for the new lab format): cloud.google.com/certification/cloud-engineer I...

Use soap and scrub it off hard
Me watching this after drowning my mac pro of stickers :🙃👉👈👁👄👁🥲😓😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
yo i’m having the same problem, do you know what kind of lock that is
it might have been a sentrysafe but this was a very old safe from 2012-2013ish (i've since trashed it after getting my documents) What matters is that it can be picked by some standard lockpicking tools. You should be able to use a tension wrench and a rake tool to at least get an idea of what reacts when you're attempting to pick it.
use sticky stuff remover
Not now stop calling me and you don't know if it's still available but 😢😅😂😭🌈🌈🌈🥵💖🙏😀🧁🥰
Just use alcohol, happened once to me but came off with some alcohol, towel, and some elbow grease
womp womp
Buy a ThinkPad bro
Use isopropyl alcohol 70% it will take all those marks straight off and not damage the tech at all I was a professional cleaner and restorer for 20 years it works every time 😊 but do so at own risk I’m not getting the blame. If you mess it up 😂
I'll give that a shot and make a video. I made a follow-up video here sometime ago with some suggestions: ua-cam.com/users/shortsJBts5OrCrMg
Thanks for the video! I'm a new grad looking for Jr.SRE and yes honestly i barely see the Jr.SRE positions in Canada. I have a 1 year of experience of IT Technician and hold AWS/RHCSA cert, currently studying for Ansible automation. Do you recommend me to start from something different positions to gain exposure to IT industries? I definitely need a job if i can not find a Jr.SRE or Linux admin positions..but not sure what kind of positions i should apply for!
Congrats on the certs. Yeah, those should at least help if you're looking for a new role, but you should also create a few public projects on github e.g. terraform some instances that deploys a basic website Regarding positions, in this current climate, take what you can get in either operations, IT, or entry software development. From there, learn as much as you possibly can and get promoted or move around when you're ready.
I'm so happy!
Super expensive 😊😊😊😮
are those residue glue or the colour is just removed ?
the color is likely damaged, I made a follow-up video pinned to the top
baby oil can clean that
i put a case on the laptop and put the stickers on that
I bet the cheaper non Apple laptop would be fine if you remove the stickers.
Bro casually flexing his expensive laptop
Nothing a little wd-40 wont fix
I love it when the guy who promises a follow up delivers. It looks like the adhesive had somethin nasty in it that stained the metal, rather than any kind of residue you can clean off. Sucks, but you can always cover it up with another sticker.
Lol, thanks Dudu
put alcohol and clean it
hey just try applying duct tape to and fro to remove the residue
I put stickers in my laptop and i will never remove it
you didn't give any tips for the exam at all really, I was expecting like you'll get 60 questions and it's broken up by vault policies, tokens, auth etc ... also, you went through the trouble of making a repo for this deployment and used packer to setup vault and then you used Cloudformation? Ever heard of Terraform
This is an older video, my newer videos contain what you are mentioning. Yes, I use Terraform and manage teams that use this.
It looks so ugly with stickers on it..
How do I get outlines o the stickers off my MacBook
What's the pass mark for ACE lab renewal exam? Out of 5 labs, I was able to clear 4. Will I pass?
I can't give you a 100% answer on that but it's possible based on what Google mentions in their public preview docs, good luck: "How many labs do I need to successfully complete to pass the exam? The number of successful tasks needed to pass the exam depends on which lab tasks are administered. We create multiple versions of the lab exam, with different tasks assigned, and all versions are statistically balanced and equated to ensure everyone has a comparable experience. Factors like the difficulty of each lab task are used to determine the number of successful lab tasks needed to pass. What happens if I don’t pass? Can I retake the ACE Renewal Lab Exam? Eligible candidates are allowed one attempt of the ACE Renewal Lab Exam. This attempt will not count towards your permitted attempts to pass the written proctored exam"
Arent shells bad for macbooks tho?
on my laptop I took off my stickers and used isopropyl alcohol and it came right off and no evidence of it
Or use a sticky stuff remover
Bro stickers are like permanent tattoos...think before you decide
Not worthy to listen. Sorry to say that. On-call rotation is not so simple as you described! Multifarious queries comes from the end users. Lots of tickets created and solved instantly. Please make a detailed content. Ty
I mentioned "On-call at a high level" in the beginning. This video is not intended to do a deep dive on the sociotechnical systems aspect of things. The video is intended for anyone new to the industry not already familiar with the terminology and simple day-to-day operations. From there, they can search for additional information that's missing.
um so yeah i just covered my mac in sticker yesterday and saw this today…
Try putting 99% alcohol and leaving on top for 10 minutes then try wiping the leftover residue off
That worked?
@@Mrludwig886I don’t want to take the risk laptops not cheap😢
@@kbrar5957 bro is just alcol....
Hey Love your videos What’s your take on platform engineering? Would love to see more day in the life videos too
Thank you! There's a video floating around out there where I talked about platform engineering here: ua-cam.com/video/dgHMwi1n4JY/v-deo.html The TL;DR is that I think a lot of people are already doing platform engineering without realizing it e.g. developing around abstracting kubernetes further away from devs, IaC entire platforms, etc. It's not hugely different from the work seen in operations or SRE, a lot of it is internal tool building.
i bought it, its my laptop, expensive or not, its mine, i can put hell lots of stickers on it
✨C O O L ✨
that shell looks ridiculously thick
*thicc
@@randomthoughtstech good grief
Just use goo gone/alcohol wipes
ua-cam.com/users/shortsJBts5OrCrMg
use a bit of vinegar or the polishing side of a sponge to get them off
I have the same problem on a MacBook Pro does this work?
The issue is that most laptops that aren’t macs front have shells available to buy
if not mac, why not buy another one bac
Ooop
thanks man, really saved a bro
i just never take off my stickers.
Me neither
Fro selling you would need to 😐
@@breh9320yes but I have never sold any of my laptops, so it's not a problem for me
what if you dont sell it @@breh9320
hopefully I won't have to take them off of my school iPad
Love the setup! Would you pls mention the name of our stretching exercises tool and mechanised desk model please and buy links if possible.
The exercise kit is an X3 although I have switched back to weights since this video was published. I use X3 when I need a portable gym. The desk is from Autonomous desks and has been incredibly good without any issues, I own two now.
@@randomthoughtstech Thanks for the reply Sir. I'm not too much in weight lifting but that tool looked good for resistance streching, I don't have too much space. Please do suggest if any caveats.
Looks cool not gonna lie
Is a hp laptop considered a expensive one- cause I'm abt to put stickers on it
This video mostly applies to macbooks with aluminum alloy. You should be fine.
I dont care
lmao i was just about to put a couple stickers on my macbook air you saved my ass big time
Just take some Colgate and a old toothbrush and brush it up but be careful of not getting extra water I have been doing that for ages in mine laptops and that works just great
I mean the MacBook works a 100% proper, no software or hardware issue what so ever. So I don't see much of a problem
The issue is when you try and resell the laptop.
@@randomthoughtstech like doesnt laptop cleaners, like those liquids which clean the laptop, don't they work?
@@Star832 so far, nothing has worked. I made a follow-up video here: ua-cam.com/users/shortsJBts5OrCrMg I've worked on a lot of laptops and my guess is that the combination of sun, heat, and the sticker basically made a laptop tattoo lol
@@randomthoughtstech ohh bruh laptop tattoo so I guess you are correct about the stickers (if you want to sell your laptops)
Good job, I myself am a picker, I recently picked a century safe, and another safe I got from my mom. Keep on demolishing those locks.
