Drifting for cat fish......????? You MIGHT catch one but that's not the way to catch cat fish..... Especially because catfish are scavengers they're not predators they don't prey on their food
There’s many ways to catch catfish! Drifting is a great way to cover more area to find actively feeding catfish. I’ve got a friend who makes UA-cam videos that caught probably 50 the other morning suspend drifting just like this!
He’s got a video of him catching catfish on his boat but you don’t 🤔 burden of proof is on you.
When catfish get bigger, they get very predatory and we have huge cats in Ohio. Bass fishermen will tell you that you can catch catfish trying to catch bass. I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure about the likelihood either until my buddy caught a 10+ pounder on a pumpkin crawfish casting into lillipads. Catfish struck it like a bass would.
Its a tumor. Probably from the past liquor dump from the distillery a couple years back

crazy knowing over 3 million ppl travel on it, i live in wv not far out might check it out one day, but what’s fascinating, there’s only about 1.8 million ppl that currently live in west virginia, almost everyone in this state could’ve rode it twice and still probably wouldn’t surpass the amount of feet that have traveled on that boat. truly an amazing piece of history, im surprised it still looks that good

There has been a lot of issues with vandalism so they will charge anyone caught boarding the vessel with Trespassing. But I’m sure flying a drone over it would be no problem! I used a really long selfie stick and was able to get a couple pictures but I haven’t went through them yet! A friend of mine Chief Smokem on UA-cam is posting a video of it Saturday I’m sure he got some good shots of it! Check him out!

There's tons of photos online showing what she looks like on board, though as the creator said, going aboard her isn't allowed unless you have permission from the owners, and even then I wouldn't recommend it since it could be dangerous.
How did it just get stuck up the creek? Was it intentional?
The guy who bought it, Robert Butch Miller actually sailed it down from New York to where it’s at right now back in 1988, it was a 2600 mile trip that took them 40 days. Once he got it to the creek he was going to repair it and build a dock but the water levels dropped and a lot of sediments washed around it leaving it stuck.

I got my Ascend H10 at Bass Pro for around 650$ for the bundle I believe. It came with the paddle and a dry bag.
With the price of night crawlers and red worms around here I’ve been using the Berkeley gulp 1” minnows in the smelt color. One jar last all summer and it catches everything
I’ll have to try the 1” ones! Worms have been expensive and can’t handle this heat. So I’m definitely gonna pick up a jar! Be on the look out 👀
I like the Berkeley gulp maggots 4.85 at Walmart and you can catch hundreds with one jar.the white natural color seems to work best for me
