I’ve had my eye on this pond for months and finally got permission to fish it. I broke out my two favorite lures to catch Largemouth Bass and I was burning them up. 🔥

You know it! She was pretty cool about the whole situation. She explained that the owner had been having problems with trespassers so that is good they’re out on patrol. And dude! If pond is private with no access to public water, from what I understand you do not need a license. Warden then has no right to check license.
Correct! I was thinking the same thing. I believe in this case she said the owner asked her to stop people to help keep Riff Raff out. When I got permission I was told the pond is catch and release only, but people stop there and disregard the sign and they fish on private land and keep a bunch of the bigger fish. So they are trying to catch trespassers really. I’m just glad to see them on patrol after some of the stuff I’ve seen while out and about.
@geoffbohartfishing I also like to see KDFW out checking. I have never been checked by a KY officer, but have by Ohio and Indiana many times over the years.
@@KayaksAreSpeedbumps Same! I always get stopped in Indiana but I’ve never been stopped in Kentucky while fishing and I’ve lived in Kentucky my whole life. Only time they have stopped me is on a fourwheeler or side by side.
In ky unless you own the pond you need license

I agree! There used to be a lot of 5lb+ fish in that pond but unfortunately trespassers and riff raff have been coming and taking the trophy fish and just leaving them dinks. When I got permission I was told its catch and release only.

Wardens can't go on private land
I think in Kentucky, the Game Warden is the only one allowed on private property. But I went back and actually got kicked out by the police even though I’ve got permission to be there! Video dropping next Monday!

Yeah for sure I’m using an older 7 foot medium heavy action Berkeley Lightning Rod. And my reel is a Lew’s Speed Spool LFS with a 6:8:1 retrieval rate.

I have zero respect for these badge-wearing dogs. You buy the “license”, which is nothing but a scam, then have to stop what you’re doing to actually show said license to the badge bullies. I’ve been checked twice in the last few months on the same lake. Disgusting.
I’ve got a video posting Monday where I actually get kicked out of fishing a place I’ve got permission to fish by the police check it out!
