What happens if you replace the batteries with new ones, then ALL the lights go red, while beeping. Then that stops and the first level "battery charge" light blinks.

That must be an older generation of the Smart-UPS as it didn't have the big fan noise, the batteries didn't have to be connected with that plug, and it didn't have the two square covers.

Does these 20hr batteries make a difference in the usage duration

I have a T7500 as well and have been running a quad-core Xeon 2.6Ghz CPU with 32GB RAM and a 500GB SSD for a couple of years now, with some excellent performance using an nVidia Quadro 5000 video card. I just recently picked up an EVGA RTX 2060 KO Ultra video card as well as two Xeon X5670 3Ghz hexacore CPUs and a CPU/Memory riser card to upgrade it even further. Great performance with the new video card and I haven't even installed the riser with the new CPUs and more RAM yet. Are you also running an 1100watt PSU?

These machinces are a beast. Some of them can max out the ram at 128Gbs, 256,Gbs,512Gbs, and 1Tb.

I've just upgraded mine with a 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD (WD SN570) plugged into my 8 lane PCIe port (4 lanes didn't work for some reason). Managed to get it to boot in UEFI mode to the NVMe drive and it boots in about 40 seconds with no user input. My bootloader (Clover) is on a small 4 GB USB stick plugged into the internal USB just above the PSU on the Motherboard. Came with Xeon E5-1650 0 CPU, 16 GB RAM (now 32 GB DDR3), Quadro 2000 (now AMD FirePro W5000), 1 x Samsung 830 500 GB SSD, 1 x Seagate 2 TB HDD, and 635 W PSU. Paid about £500 back in 2015/2016 as a refurb. Cracking little machine. When I upgraded to the M.2 boot, the SSD was recognised, but the HDD wouldn't show up. Full Windows 10 upgrade didn't fix it, but managed to find a Windows 7 controller driver on the Dell website I think, and the HDD popped as soon as that was loaded up. Amazing! Problem now is that I need to buy a new Office key (about £15 from buy-keys) as the previous key was single use. Also need to reinstall all my programs from the original SSD. That SSD is still there and accessible, but it's not my Windows drive any more if I boot to the M.2 drive. I can boot to it whenever I want of course, but it means all my programs and data but the programs obviously don't run on the M.2 so there's no speed benefit.

Shame you didn't show the process of taking it apart. I got one of these, but can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the CD-rom drive bay. This is such a weird case.

I have the same system and just upgraded to 2 5645s and 48 gig of memory. I am also adding the same heat sink and fan setup for cpu 1 as cpu 2. Working on how to wire the fans, hooking them to the case fans on the front gives an error. Have you tried upgrading the bios. I get an error that says compability issue. My best so far with cinebench is 6101

This doesn't work. There seems to be a missing step. I made all the connections but my PCs on the network cannot access the internet. I'm not sure if he has TWO ethernet ports on that first computer or what but it's not working the way he says it will.
