Delta Airlines to Increase Pilot Pay 34% | What does this mean?
I'm scared of DEI hires
And then the music started.......
I flew a 1977 M20J back in the 90's. Only things I didn't like were having to switch fuel tanks, and it could be a little difficult to start with a warm engine and hot weather. And the flap switch was a little annoying. I've learned that since that time, many people have removed the ram air door, since it barely makes a difference, and has the possibility of getting stuck (as some have). That plane was so sleek, that it wasn't super easy to slow down. Thankfully it had speed brakes. It was real easy to make a smooth landing in that plane. I just read that some Mooney (and Piper) owners have having fuel leak issues because of the new G100UL fuel.
This video really helped me, I'm 20 and I'm a avgeek but i don't want to je a pilot and be away from home too much. This video was awesome, I'll subscribe to you and want to see what else your channel has in store
If your in Georgia check out middle Georgia state university
Good video! Nice landing as well. Nice correction.
Hi, good day. I'm a 16-year-old Chinese student studying in a high school international department in Beijing. I'm now an av geek, a planespotter, and an aviation enthusiast who dreams to be an airline pilot since the age of seven. As you do, also want to go to a college or university for flight training and to study aviation. However, I'm completely bad at and do not enjoy math and physics at all, you know I just love flying rather than doing the boring calculation (in fact I've already tried to fly in a 737NG simulator for several times and it was like on cloud nine to me). I think I'll be happy as Larry whenever I fly. Anyways, I just want to ask you that can Chinese like me enter into a foreign airline in the future, doesn't necessarily have to be US but other western country are okay for me as well. And which university that has its own school of aviation (Bachelor of aviation or professional flight major of aeronautical science in aviation) doesn't have high requirements on math and physics for application and entrance and make you really fly from year one at the same time only lasts for no more than 3 years in total? Since my school is an international one, by the time I graduate from it, I'll not only get a Beijing high school diploma but also a Canadian's New Brunswick province high school graduation diploma, will that be advantageous for applying, especially those universities in Canada that have flight training? The country I want to go to for university for aviation doesn't necessarily have to be USA, all western countries are more than fantastic in terms of learning aviation there. I'm Chinese, so do you think it's possible, if taking that into account, get the chance to go to an american airlines after graduation from a college with pilot program? I look forward to your advice, thanks.
A long time ago, but my pop used to fly us up there from Stormville where he was tied down. He had a J4 and a Tri Pacer. The J4 he used slip in sideways, then taxi tail up to the restaurant! Breakfast and a couple of games of pool.
You explained everything so concise I enjoy watching your work.
What’s your height?
Just found your channel im a newly minted private pilot love the content
Hi, please I need some help in deciding. I'm currently deciding on which degree to do before I do pilot training and I was wondering if I could do a masters in aeronautical engineering after. The 2 choices would be computer science or Aviation management, is either able to pivot to a master's in aeronautical engineering or what is the optimal choice for me to start with. I would like to be a pilot but also at some point have the options in the industry either in engineering or airport duties so to say.
Do most Universities require you to commit to them before you apply to their aviation programs or are you able to apply before committing just in case you don’t get in, your not stuck at a school you don’t want to be at?
The whole purpose for me to go to a college like Embry Riddle, especially in Japan, would be to make me look good on paper, in addition to giving me invaluable levels of experience for aviation business. I want to fly for sky combat ace, that’s my dream job. But I also want to start my own business with them, and an order for me to convince them that my business idea is worth implementing, I would have to look good on paper.
What about Aviation Management degree and future please make a videos on it also, as a AViation management Student!
I just wanna become a pilot and it needs to be fast
Then ig riddle is for you. But be prepared to cough up that amazing $$$ as well as wait an entire season or 2 to actually fly since you’ll most likely be in a whole lot of simulators before hand.
HOW TO IMPROVE ENGLISH TO BECOME A PILOT
Are passengers ever allowed to get permission to visit the pilot at the front to look at how the pilot flies the aeroplane?
I didn't see SUU in the description. I might have missed it but If not, was there a reason?
My concern is not really the pilots experience or lack thereof but more about mechanical issues and getting to a nearest airport in a timely fashion should mechanical issues happen mid flight
Wish i get a dpe like this guy here
I'm terrified of flying because I'm scared it will crash like 9/11 was probably the main source of the fear because it was a very traumatizing time for us even though I wasn't alive then it still is scary to know there is a possibility u can crash and die 😢🥺
Thank you for your insightful video. It has greatly assisted me in making an informed decision regarding my career path in the aviation industry. I am now leaning towards aviation management as the most suitable option for me, and I am confident that I can make a positive impact in the field, potentially even establishing my own airline company in the future. I appreciate your valuable guidance.
Hello, I am just concerned I want to work in the development of intelligent systems within planes and aircrafts. What should I study in university or the ways to get there? Actually I'm studying computer science and I want to continue my studies in either data science or Ai What do you recommend
Aviation Management is a great degree! It gives you a broad understanding of aviation and management. In addition, there are more jobs than ever in this field, so finding jobs shouldn't be a problem, unlike some jobs. I am pursuing my second year of the Bachelor of Aviation Management degree program at Massey University in New Zealand.
Hi am thinking of choosing this degree but it's only offered online at Massey how are u getting along with I enjoy more in class learning then online so am second guessing
And do you think there is a lot of job opportunities in the field
I don’t really want to go to college first, I’d rather go straight to flight school but my family is pushing me to go to college just in case. I am thinking about attending Western Michigan or one of the Embry-Riddle locations. This video was very helpful
I am in High School tho so I still have time to think about things cuz I don’t graduate till 2027
I’m 11 in September of 2024, and I’ve flown from Illinois to India and back many times (like at least 8-10) I’ve also been on many other flights… It takes 14 hrs on the first flight from Illinois to Dubai or Abu Dhabi… then it’s 4 hrs from there to India… Then vise verse back… Even tho I have gone on a plane so many times with nothing near a crash and if anything minimal turbulence… I always feel like we r going to crash… Another thing is that I have motion sickness which makes it 10x worst…
Do you guys know that a plane can fly with only 1 engine? Even if other engines fail the plane can fly perfectly fine with only 1 engine, they are designed that way. Now let’s say all engines fail…guess what? The plane will still be fine lollll. Seriously, what makes the plane glide and fly are the wings, that’s the most important part. Even if the engine fails the wings will make the plane fly and glide in the air and the pilot can land it safely. There’s no need to fear planes or turbulences, it’s all normal and part of it. Go out and explore the world!
What if only operating 1 engine on take off?
Can I be a pilot after completing bachelor in Aviation Management
I am scared because of takeoff
I am a track and field athlete who is in the top 10% of athletes i also have a 4.1 gpa but i havent taken the act yet. I most likely would want to attend university of baylor because of there track team and how i could most likely go to school there for free. does anyone have any information on baylors aviation program?
@@matoven9817 Go on their website and read about the program! Looks like they fly light sport airplanes which I’m not familiar with. I’m sure it’s a great program given the school that’s running it
This helps but I'm always alert🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My only fear is of the takeoff. Fast acceleration makes my stomach feel like I'm getting stabbed. I cant go on any amusement park rides either. So I wonder how my first flight in December will go lol
You’ll be fine honestly. My first time taking off, i admit that i felt butterflies but it’s literally under 10 seconds. When we had to return home, i didn’t feel it at all. Your body gets used to it. I didn’t have a fear of flying but somehow now i do. And it’s only because of turbulence.
At 15 years with such a lot of knowledge like that really shows deep passion for aviation... Keep it up
this is the only video of guidance to the aviation sector of how to pursue in this career. definitely you delivered it quite well.
Grazie.
The dream, wish I had me 12 million dollars haha also beautiful jet man❤ I still need to start ground, school, hoping to start soon. But I will at least get an intro flight in and my medical and everything done asap.
Does anyone have experience with UND? How's that pilot program?
I’m from Kent and I want to become a commercial airline pilot and my father works at Kent state university there so I get free touition to go there so would Kent be a good option to become a pilot?
@@babygiraffebarkley2173 Absolutely
What to you think about Postgraduate- Aviation Management ? I'm about to finish my Masters Degree in English but I was always passionate about aviation.
@@katherine086 If you already have a degree and wanted to pursue an aviation career you can hop right into flight training. Nobody really cares what your degree is in, they just care you have one. But if you’re just interested in doing it and have the means to, by all means go do it!
I will fly when there’s 0% chance of crashing. It’s not even crashing that I’m scared of. It’s those stories where people are in complete terror for 30 plus minutes before they plummet to their deaths. This is why it actually is not as scary to me to get in a car accident. In a car accident it’s either instant death or you’re rushed to the hospital. No 30 plus minutes of fear first and no possibility of surviving then being in the ocean or a mountain top waiting for help. To know that most fatal accidents are because of pilot error doesn’t help. 😮
Once I heard a quote that helped me a lot and it is: “The plane so it can actually withstand much more than a normal person”
I have a question i know its been 10 months but if your reading this it would be appreciated. So I am looking into an aviation college that offers 4 year bachelor degrees but also offers Associate degrees in aviation. Im in a situation im gonna finish high school soon and want to get an ATP sooner then 23 the associate would save the extra 2 years of school so it feels like less of a commitment and then when i wait to turn 21 I become a CFI and build the 1250 hours. I was thinking if the airline market gets saturated I can always transfer those credits over to a online university that offers an aviation B.S online so I become more competitive. Do you think the Associate route would be good and then go onto the B.S. later if it feels needed or do you think it would only be worth it getting a 4 year degree out the gate.
Im not scared of the plane im terrified of heights
Can you do it if you just close the window or not look out the window?
hey man, I'm starting flight school at Binghamton this summer. I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps and can't wait to see where flying takes me.
Good luck!
I have to disagree, Aeronautical Science is a STEM Degree alot of the government aviation companies take it I work for northrop grumman as a mechanic and now test engineer.
And were you able to do that with just the aeronautical science degree or do you have a masters or other bachelors degree?
1 in 9821???!!! That sounds doable 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
Im doing IT Diploma now i feel is hard for programing but for degree i was thinking to take these course ( Aviation Management and Piloting - Bachelor (Hons) in my county ).
Why is it your business? What airline pilots Mike they have a responsibility more than you can ever imagine nothing. You’ll be able to do it.
Getting my license this summer!!
