I read a book about turkeys herding in Vermont. One story described how the herding turkeys, at the end of the day, came across a barn that was being framed. They flew up onto it and landed on the structure.

The Fenian raid of 1866 was one of the catalysts for Canadian Confederation in 1867. Funny thing with the Fenian raids. They figured they would take Canada and trade it for Irish Independance. The British plan at that time was if the Fenians succeeded in taking the Canadian territories, to tell them they could keep them.

My grandfather crossed the Canadian border to Richford, Vermont in 1898. At the time the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 had been extended for ten years by the Geary Act of 1892 and made permanent in 1902. My grandfather was held by federal authorities in Burlington, Vermont. He was able to produce a witness to his claim that he was born in SF, CA, in 1878. He attained birthright citizenship which allowed him to sponsor his son, my father, who had been born in Taishan, Guangdong Province, China in 1922. He came to America in 1939.

Andrew Johnson stood against the cruel policies of reconstruction. You could say these policies, promoted by Stevens, led to the formation of the KKK and creation of Jim Crow laws. Andrew Johnson was a courageous man.

Watching other videos the actual butter making process has them 'washing' the butter over with water to remove any remaining cream just before molding. They've strained/drained most water before going into the mold - but the consistency from freshly being worked and the added bit of moisture makes the consistency almost like really firm frosting... and I'm guessing this makes pattern acceptance and release a bit easier. But this video definitely covers gist of the process well. Thanks!
