I've been growing carrots for several months and purposely just dumped the entire packet of seeds into the pot. I figured they weren't going to grow because I'm pathetic at growing my own food. Kale I can grow. Pretty much nothing else. I've been growing them for months, so I figured they'd be ready. Most of them are tiny and pathetic. The leaves are huge and beautiful. Going to regrow the ones that still have roots.

A super easy remoulade for fried oysters (or fried anything really). 2 tbl spoons of mayo 1 tbl spoon of cocktail sauce (or just horseradish if you prefer) Little bit of minced garlic or garlic powder Pinch of cayenne and paprika Salt/pepper to taste Literally takes one min and is delicious with these! Also I usually toss them in a little bit of whisked egg before I batter and fry (add Italian seasoning to the batter too), just a suggestion.

We use to go to the shrimp boat and get a sack of oysters for 10 dollars a sack . it would make a gallon of oysters, We kept them in pickle jar, there own juices in the frig? That was the GOOD OLD DAYS, years ago 👉👉Now i'am paying 17 dollars for a pound of them raw 🙄🙄

Took me a long, long, long, time to eat raw oysters. My sister is the one what got me eating them raw. I would bite into one, and it squirted into my mouth and about threw up. Was like a ball of snot. Then i started bleeding them. Then started drinking a beer after i swallowed them. That seem to help. ANY WAY > about i year later i started craving them raw. THEN I GOT HOLD OF A HOT ONE . That made me so horney! he hee Oh Lord. 🙄🙄that all going to say about that.

Big box stores are more interested in moving stock, not the care of that stock. As a horticulturist, I've had second jobs with a big box. They discouraged plant care, like deadheading, removing broken stems, etc, as a general rule. Our job was to water those plants, move them around to make room for the new, fresh, stuff. Once their moment of glory is over, plants get discounted. Discounted plants get less attention. Then they're trashed. Big boxes actually anticipate a certain amount of loss. So very different from a real garden center or nursery. One more note-as temperatures rise, water-loving plants like hydrangea are a challenge to keep moist. I've watered twice, three times a shift! Also, they're in a less than hospitable environment, in a 3-5 gallon pot, almost impossible to keep looking good and alive.

I have so many runners growing this year not sure what to do with them all. I hate to cut the runners when they start out growing just can't bring myself to toss them so instead I have more than i know what to do with. Any advice? My first year they really took off so well.

Orange store, is that the TN volunteer store? All of them big stores clear things as needed. Our one WM has now cleared the bicycle aisle, they all are sittingnoitside now with clearance tags. They take a lot of space with low turnover rate. As far as plants go, all big box stores run plants that are pleasing to the eye. Yet they are plants that are usually always out of season. They have tomatoes or whatever for sale 2 months prior to last frost date in most cases.
