  • Cut strawberry runners and plant them after 4-6 weeks of pegging them into the ground. Proper rooting usually happens once you let runners develop for 4-6 weeks. After that, it will be the ideal time for cutting them out and replanting strawberry runners.

Hello @terrykingsallotmentgardening Do you have any suggestions on how I could get some Sweet Candle carrot seeds here in the states? No one sells them here and I can't find anyone who would ship them internationally.
      Thanks, love your channel
      Ta ra for now... 👍♥️

Yes strawberries will definitely take over your garden, i let mine go to long that the plants are so thickly planted that its hard for me to get in there and see where i need to cut them so i just do a few a day, i will let them just go wherever they want to

I need to do this with mine. Thanks John, for showing how you do it. I might need to bring mine indoors after putting them in the pots because we are having such hot weather now. But mine do have runners on them.

Strawberries get to a point where you have to get rid of some. I have babies living all around town. When yours get to a point where you need to thin them out, see if you have a Buy Nothing group near you. I find people are so grateful to be gifted plants.

I definitely will try this. I usually just leave them when the bed gets too full I replant this would be a lot easier

Not sure why, but all of my strawberry plants died this last winter. They didn't even leave dead plants. They just totally disappeared. I haven't replaced them yet. I will eventually.
