@@madlad5555 I've not put them through the paces as much as I would have liked yet, but generally I think they're decent but overpriced for the quality. They "invested" in little things that make them appear like a premium product like metal buckles and a wood heel, but went cheap on the things that made the adistar 08 awesome, namely the kangaroo leather construction. These TYR are all synthetic leather which doesn't hold up as well and makes its shape much less form fitting to the foot. It also carries the same primary shortcoming of the Adistar which is an outsole that is going to get slippery once it gets a little worn. I don't think they're markedly better than their L1 option especially for $150 more.

This is a great interview, very glad I found your channel. I started with kettlebells in 2002 or 3, whenever the first RKC book came out. Trained with them for my martial arts for 20 years or so, then found Taco Fleur on youtube, started changing my style and buying comp bells. I trained with Denis Vasilev (online) all of last year and really learned a lot. Towards the end of the year I started dreading the workouts instead of looking forward to them, so now I train for fun but focus on the comp lifts. I think kettlebell sport, outside of full contact fighting, is probably the most difficult thing a person can do both mentally and physically. Watching Audrey snatch a 24kg is amazing to me. Until you do kb sport you really have no idea how incredibly strong you have to be to do that for 10 minutes! Great conversation, thank you.

Have you checked out the dumbbell grip vs kettlebell grip blog on our website? That can be helpful, as well as our catch it like a pro video. Those are good places to start but certainly don’t cover everything - as twin cities said, feel free to send us a video. But top tips are let go of the handle and insert sooner than you think, wedge into the top corner of the handle and make sure you are keep your wrist straight as you punch through . When you’re trying to practice dialing it in, it can be more effective to start it in the rack position in the correct spot and then drop it in to the swing and back up to the rack. That can help with muscle memory.

I’ve been using Shure SE425 for 9 years, definitely more than 1000hours a year, until they eventually fell apart :) They survived many falls and probably 5 wires/BT adapters. It was one of the best investments of my life. The day they broke down I ordered SE535 and they sound fantastic, especially when they are on a cable connected to a good source. Hip hop sounds like you’re sitting in a Bentley with Naim audio, metal sounds like you’re in the middle of a circle pit, techno makes you feel like you’re having a Klubnacht in Berghain. When on a BT they sound a bit worse but still another galaxy compared to my gf’s AirPods Pro. Also, on BT their volume limit is like 40% of their capabilities, if you plug them to cable you can make them play so loud it literally hurts your ears yet the sound quality is still absolutely flawless.
