Join me on an inspiring journey as I prepare for one of the most iconic cross-country ski races, the Vasaloppet, all the way from the sunny shores of Southern California! Living by the beach might not seem like the ideal training ground for a grueling 90 km ski race, but with determination and creativity, anything is possible. In this video, I document the unique challenges and triumphs of trai...

Cortisone injection into the hip joint

This might be a little gross to some but I love the human body and medicine and I was so impressed with how she was able to stick that needle into the right spot without looking at me and the hip but rather keeping her eyes on the ultrasound the whole time. Big shout out to Dr Alex Weber and his team for being so great!

The physical & mental benefits of running.
Переглядів 373 роки тому
I often get asked why I run so much when I also train kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, Boxing and strength and conditioning. However, running has so many both physical and mental benefits in addition to what I do on a daily basis. Here I explain some of them.
Roll in the snow challenge

After bringing my wife to the snow for her birthday without proper clothing (and she hates the cold!), I figured it would make her happy to let her film me suffer for a bit. I’m a big fan of Wim Hof and the WimHofMethod and Cold Emersion is so good for so many reasons. So, here’s the roll in the snow challenge - 1 minute minimum!

I have to get this on Tuesday and I’m only 20 🤦🏽. Can you explain the pain or your overall experience bc I had got an injection in my knee before but not my hip. Any sort of advice would help at this point 😂.

Ah, did they say why? No pain to be honest from the shot, just looks and feels weird, because it's so long. It really helped though but I was supposed to have a full hip replacement and I've worked hard with mobility, strength and flexibility and can run again now (ultra-marathons), so be sure to do that!

Thank you to the person who flagged the "comment" to my above post as spam. I was cussed out 5 times in 3 sentences for that. Sadly you tube has made me realize the class of people floating around this country as you can hardly go to a thread with people under age 35 or 40, without some vulgarity or someone putting another poster down or threatening them. It is getting that some people in todays America will gladly kill you just for disagreeing with them. I see now, Oprahs audience is not Tyras.

unprepared? This girl said she fought a lot in the hood and I believe her. Did you see how she folded that guy over with that kick to the stomach. Some guys couldnt do that! I can see she is someone who might not train, but she has hurt people with her feet before. She comes from the thug life. Thats easy to see just in her tone of voice. Why are all the gorgeous hood women so arrogsant. Mmmmm...was she fine! Not phine. FINE! like we said it in the 80's. -)

Good career move, when you are sitting in between One of the most famous women in the world and an expert on survival trying to help you, just keep interrupting them and take over the conversation. When you look good, some women thinks it gives their mouth a speeding permit. I mean she is gorgeous, but cocky. I mean, could you imagine being her roomate or lover, she would have you taking aspirin 5x a week. But no she doesnt need to stop her KFC, she needs to tone that beautiful body up! Fine!

She doesn't need to lose weight, its just the stress you get when you get surprised... In Krav Maga they teach you how to work in situations that involve stress. You can reduce how stressed you get, but you can't never eliminate the stress completely. I seriously think most of you would've got your ass kicked and assaulted.

@queenimayya Shoot him. lol Look up gun defences. But you can only defend from a gun if it's the last possible choice, and you have to practise them well. It seems like a lot of work, but then again it could save your life. To avoid being attacked, you should always avoid dangerous AREAS that seem or feel dangerous, and always be aware of your surroundings.

Three observations with the difference between self-defense & self-preservation. 1st. She should have been scanning her environment or have "staked out" where she parks which would let her know where to run. 2nd She have been screaming fire or kicking a few cars (alarms) as she was running. 3rd Be advised that most women are not in such physical shape to go a "60 second round" which includes constant kicking and punches. Most attacks like these end up on the ground. Part 2 needed. Peace
