Road to Unlimited Episode 3: Cutting Apart the NSX
For the third installment we start cutting the NSX to cut weight and make space for the planned modifications. The purpose of removing as much metal as we did was to cut as much weight as possible, improve serviceability, and make space for future aerodynamic modifications. From there Riley took over and put an immense amount of work over the following months.

      Due to the classs we had to have a setup that was unstable yet stable on power down, so the setup was great for the purpose and terrible overall

    I raced there in my younger days before they put in the chicane before the bridge. If you think it was spicy watching him now you should have seen the cars sliding down that hill off camber at twice the speed. Praying the car was going to catch before you got to the front straight.       Nah, it's a time attack car. Where else is he going to get a mid engine car with this wheelbase and this good of handling? An MR2 is like the only option, but it has a much shorter wheelbase and nowhere near as sophisticated suspension design.

      The cost varies based on parts choice, power level, and potential future plans with the car. On average it ranges from 40-80k depending on what parts you want. The engine/turbo setup and transmission alone are a big chunk to hold the power and traction the NSX makes

    Where money is no object motec & emtron kv8 are unbeatable but for majority of time attack builds that don't need the most advanced torque management / traction control over AIM & especially bang for buck AEM & Haltech offer great solutions the AEM infinity W/ CD digital dash w/GPS/Logging/track mapping & lap timing/ VDM can be had as a plug & play solution for around 3 grand for everything w/ completely customizable display add a can hub for unlimited IO. Also above AIM & a bit above AEM in cost & performance but below motec I'd go haltech nexus r5 w/ built in PDM & every else AEM infinity offers plus ic7 dash
