I like mine. Still needs more hp. Toyota needs to get these up to 300 hp and will be perfect. Get the 0 to 60 time down to 4.8 seconds and will be perfect. The suspension is spot on. The weight of the vehicle doesn't require much more for brakes. Sway bars good be better.
A little more power would be nice, but I'm pretty happy with how the car performs in a straight line. I think we'll add some FI in the near future to help with that. My only gripe is the weight and distribution. But overall, an awesome car.
Hey Amir, Ive been following your success in Time Attack for a bit now and first wanted to say Congrats! The NA1 NSX is a dream car of mine but those prices… Id love to track one too so I was wondering: If you were to build another NSX for enthusiast class, would you buy a salvage/rebuilt title? How would you source your NSX? 150k mile NA1 nsxs are going for like $60k! So im assuming thats not a smart option. If not Ill be going for a GR86.
Thank you! As long as the pickup points are fine and the car is structurally sound, a salvage car works. Sourcing one would be the normal avenues of finding a car. For what we're doing, we'd prefer to find a shell since we change so much of the car. I'd also double check whether the NSX is enthusiast class legal before starting the project. There are chassis exclusions in enthusiast and the NSX may be part of that. With all of that said, the GR86 is an awesome option!
I'm surprised how far off those front and rear numbers are from the press release. They claimed 53 front 47 rear. Not 57 front 43 rear. That's disappointing.
I am as well. We're going to corner balance the car in the next week or two, so we'll see if the numbers are closer to the factory claimed numbers with a driver.
@@RSFuture what else would be economical to lighten the front besides a lithium iron battery? Brz aluminum knuckles? ......I guess light wheels wouldn't help balance but still lighter.
Get some power into a 2.4 box lol? The weight is pretty good stock, you weren’t really comparing it to anything. Was there a lot of thought put into this video? This isn’t a race car, comparing it to a v12 viper etc?
The box comment was about putting a larger sequential or swap into the car. The thought put into the video was merely my thoughts as I saw it. Valuable to some, worthless to others. The comparison is based on what I would look for in a platform. And comparing to a V10* viper, I'd expect a better weight distribution from the 86. That was just for a comparison. An inexpensive car should still aim for ideal dynamics.

Glad I stumbled onto this. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
Thanks! We're looking forward to the project!
This video was so well done!
super excited to see what you do on this platform. it’s a whole new experience for you working on the 86 so this should be fun!
Thanks Sean! I'm already loving it!
Great video dude! GR86 looked promising nice to see your take on it. 💪🏽
Thanks, Noah! More GR86 content coming soon!
Glad to see you making videos again and tackling this platform!
It's nice to have time to make videos again! The more I drive it, the more I like the platform.
Awesome video bro! Love your work. Keep it up man
Thank you for the support!
Question of the day. Does it have an GPF/Gasoline partical filter?
Excited to see what you do with this platform. 👍🏻
First, congratulations at GTA Buttonwillow 2021! 2nd, glad ur back!
Thank you! Finals was an unexpected and welcome result. Glad to be back and finally have a little time to make videos!
I’m impressed by your knowledge 👍
I appreciate it. I hope to share the little bit I know with this community
Hi Amir, it's nice to know you are developing this car. I had the exact thing in blue 👌
Awesome! I'm excited to do some work on it.

Can concur, Viper's weight distribution is great for a front engine! But the engine and trans squash the cockpit awkwardly.
I don't disagree with that. I don't mind the interior layout of the Viper, but it's far from my favorite.
I love the car!
us to!
Needs a K24 swap right away! Any chance of showing the S2000 CR later
A swap may be in its future! I plan on doing shop updates with the projects and the shop every week or two. The CR will be part of the first video!
Sounds pretty good inside?
I liked the sound inside. Stock it sounded sporty under load, but was also quiet cruising.
