Thank you for your continuous excellent content. I have been in IT for over 20 years. I am currently a Systems Administrator. I am ready to do fulfilling work and that fits my personality. I believe for me that is GRC Analyst\IT Auditor. I am currently taking the GRC Mastery class by the UnixGuy.
@@josemmm11 I am halfway through the course. I purchased it two weeks ago today. So far so good. I am learning things I THOUGHT I knew. When I reach out to UnixGuy he replies quickly. After this course I will study for the CISA exam. I know I can't be considered certified without the experience, but at least l will have the test behind me.
I’m glad I stumbled on your channel, and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I just finished a Cybersecurity challenge and choosing GRC as my domain. Right now I’m stuck on getting the hands on training and resume but listening to show shows that are have a lot of transferable skills. But I still think companies will ask for experience. Is there any help you can provide please?
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoy the content. I haven't looked into documenting useful GRC groups on LinkedIn. I will share, once I have any.
Hii, Been a cybersecurity analyst for an year as a fresher with Threat Intelligence as my main project. Would it be ok if I get into GRC after a break of 10 months? Or it would be great if you suggest any specific course to get into it apart from the unixguy's course!! TIA 🌸😊
Hey there! Your cybersecurity background will definitely come in handy for GRC. Taking a break and then diving into something new can be refreshing. Familiarize yourself with the core principles of GRC, including risk management, compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and governance structures. Good luck with your next steps!
Your background in law enforcement and accreditation management sounds like a perfect fit for GRC. Your experience could bring a lot of value to the field!
