Joel, great video.... it's 2 years later; any updates? Which iOS guitar fx processor (a) supports using AUV3 plugins for pedals or plugins, rather than just their own brand (b) lets you create presets (at the pealboard level) - and switch between presets in the middle of a song (c) lets you change presets or change paramters or settings or specific plugins via MIDI? I'm using a MIDI controller to control my iPad. Thanks. I use Loopy Pro, but I'm super frustrated that it doesn't support presets very well.

It does work in current iOS, but You don’t need the Blueboard app anyway. Boot it while pressing „C“ and connect with MIDI BLE driver. It will send cc controllers then and also allow press / release control. The rest should be operable in the apps you actually want to control.

I can’t get mine to work. I’ll launch Bias FX make sure it sounds how I want. Then I’ll open cubasis and route the channel thru Bias FX 2 but then the sound cuts out and Bias FX stops working until I power down and start up the iPad again

Quick correction on midi here, around 6 mins 50 ? I guess 3 years ago your stomp was actually running older firmware ? 6 blocks vs 8. On the midi parameter front any and all things in helix can be mapped to expression, actual midi cc or snapshots. EVERYTHING. I reckon you might want to do a follow up video here or even make it a series. The stomp definitely has DSP restrictions to work around. Workflow wise though, I’d be really curious to see how other people combine these into hybrid hardware / software rigs. Pretty much, if you’re using hxstomp as a mobile rig and you’re recording you’re gonna use iOS for recording so you may as well REALLY use both the helix and the iPad Pro together and max out your available DSP in both units. Stomp could certainly act as an interface for bias fx 2 and as a midi controller for it

Hi. Great vid, as usual. I also use xtone pro for Bias fx-2 on iPad. The thing is. I tweak my tone with headphone (via HP jack on xtone), but when I send the signal to PA via Line Out jack. The tone come from PA Speakers is so different comparing to the tone from my Headphone, so much thinner I could say. Question is, what did I do wrong? Is there possibility the actual tone come out from HP jack is different? Or it might due to headphone and PA Speaker character is self? ( anyway, I use "studio headphone" for tweaking, it is a cheap one tho :D) Any suggestion? Have you use bias fx on iPad on live situation? Could you share your setup? Thx in advance. My apology if it is already discussed in other comment / other video.

Great video! I'm building a hybrid pedalboard for live church playing. Stuck between Bias fx2 and Overloud Thu. I'm using an Xtone Pro. So far Bias FX2 , I've been able to dial in a super awesome tone with the AC30TB! But I'm interested in AUM. How would one be able to switch presets on the fly in AUM using Overloud-THU. Can those presets be stored with different BPM settings in AUM? That would be a must for me to play live in a worship church setting. Thanks!
