Thanks for your tutorial, It's very useful!
And i thought my 24 kg scooter is heavy 🙈
What if the needle won't pick up the bobbin thread?
Recién adquirí ina patent elastique, me vienen muy bien tus consejos. Te envío un gran abrazo desde Córdoba Argentina 🇦🇷 Gracias Graham !!!
Great tip. I just got a new scooter and getting it up and down the stairs is trickier than I expected when I fold it and carry. I think this will be much easier.
can we just modify the machine to use needles leather needles?
Has someone invented a foldable ramp for scooters?
😂😅😅 weak
Graham can you help me fix my presser foot is not walking 0:33
Hello can you help me my presser foot won’t mine the leather how do I fix it
Thank you for video .. ❤
Too much ballet..
Honestly… take some steroids for a couple months and build up a man’s physique. Then about 10 minutes before you lift, do some stretching and some methamphetamines then just pick it up and carry it bruv
Excellent idea. Constructive.
Do the needles shown here have a flat side? All the stores I've been only carry round shank and I think my cobbler has a flat side on the needle
Thanks for this sir, exactly what i was looking for and right to the point.
what will you do if the crank does not turn?
i probably would not buy any heavy ones if i have to lift it up and down stairs. too much work
If you want the range you have to get a bigger one.
... and that's just to get mail outside
Right.
Not sure I understand. Normally the top stitch is what provides the pleasing esthetic quality, but you are putting it on the bobbin. Sorry, but I just don't understand why anyone would do that. Please enlighten me. Thanks. ( I do love the pace and detail of your vids).
Use a shopping kart ez
Great suggestion!
That's how I've done it for years! Back in the day...
my scooter is 20kg weight and im only 40kg which is bad for my back . i hope this helps!
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
If it has a deck latch, folt it up and carry it like luggage.
Easy, only almost 50kg!
Thanks for this video. I have been using too heavy top thread.
Great video. Very informative. Do you know if anyone makes a flat shank 140/22 needle that has a triangular point or other cutting point. The round needles will just not penetrate the leather well. I modify industrial needles but would rather buy already made up needles. Thanks.
I looked fo 140/22 needles with a flat shank but could not find any. I found them in industrial needles. The shank is round and the needles are longer. Also the point is a triangular point. I used a dremel too to grind the shank and make it flat 1.66 mm and also shortened it. It works perfectly. These are titanium and i was able to sew 1/2 inch leather. Works much better than round point.
Thank you so much for these videos! They have been a huge help in teaching me how to use my machine. Could not have done it without you!
My steps are way way smaller so the tire doesn't even fit on a step barely is the issues
Depending on the scooter/stairs you can also hold the brakes and just slowly let the scooter go down if you can hold it upright.
I'm watching this after carrying my dualtron thunder 3 up the stairs. Holy crap my heart was beating. 126 pounds. I don't wanna risk getting a hernia or something
Thanks ! good advice for a newcomer to "heavy" scooters
You bet!
how to adjust the sewing machine so that the bobbin stitches are normal under the seam
Неше санты йне турыу керек
Very informative, thanks. I am thinking of getting one of these machines. I want to use it as a cheap "sew off the arm" solution, mainly for light fabrics. Would it be suitable for this purpose?
I would get an electric modern sewing machine for that. These work better for finicky heavier materials where you can stitch by stitch. Good luck with that venture though!
Dude, these machines are junk made by unskilled people and aimed at unskilled hobbyists. Go buy an old SINGER industrial walking foot or a Pfaff, ADLER, NECCHI etc.
I agree some of them are junk - depends on the manufacturer (there are many). First one I had was garbage. But if you find a decent manufacturer they work just great. There is a reason the design hasn't changed in 150 years!
Thank you for the advice❤
You're welcome!
For those who are saying its too slow ironically youre wrong. Its actually faster if you have a high speed scooter that can go faster than you getting a lightweight scooter that will take longer to get there Only exception is when youre onlt commuting a few miles at most and you're taking multiple floors upstairs
I live on the fourth floor, no elevator and my work office is 600 meters away. Currently using a 5kg electric skateboard.
@@sapitron cool
Is it possible to use braided wax thread with his machine? Im currently hand stitching leather with .8mm braided wax thread.
Try it, it's the only way to find! Good luck with it!
Thanks so much for your video. I realize it has been years since you posted the tutorial for the lether stitching machine but hope that you are still available to answer questions about it. I have the machine but the presser foot doesn't come all the way down to the plate to hold the leather in place. Is there a way to adjust the presser foot?
Yes, you can adjust that part - you can also do things like file the underside. Check my other videos, it's in there somewhere.
Thank you so much! This was the simplest and easiest video on doing this. I've had my machine for a couple years and rarely use it because it always is a mystery to me to get this going
Glad it helped!
Thanks so much for the series, I've just watched them all and have picked up quite a few good tips. 👍🏻
Great to hear!
For heavy Leatherboots i use a 160 Needle..but there is special Leather Needles from Smetz in 120..did not try them..🫡
Good to know!
Thanks for this vidéo, Can i use thread t210 UP and down , and what neddle best for t210
Unfortunately not. It will go one way only with the heavy thread. You will need to use a light through the other way. Check out my video on needle thread pairing for all that info.
@@FlexitoolGuides thanks
I had been struggling to figure out how to do this for days - thank you very much for posting this!!!
Glad I could help!
Bro just use the brakes to go down you can inch every step and it's actually gentle if you do it properly
Sure, you prefer that way, all good!
Where can i purchase the 140/22 needles
Unfortunately no idea at this time. Check search engines. Good luck!
BRILLIANT! 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!
Hello. Perhaps you can help. I bought the Chinese shoe patch machine in October of 2022. I spent a month watching videos, etc. For some reason I could not get the machine to pick up the bobbin thread. So frustrated I put in the closet for a year. Pulled it out recently, and finally fixed the bobbin thread issue. Once the bobbin pickup worked, then I had an issue of the upper thread breaking. Watched some more videos, and did some intense sanding of all the bobbin parts. That stopped the breaking. Now, the thread is too loose. Before I just immediately tighten the bobbin spring, can you tell what would be causing the bottom thread to be too loose on my finished tests?
Hi - check your thread tensions.
