I've gotten the Kawasaki 4010 back from the dealer. my initial complaint was that the oil smells like gas and the oil is getting cloudy. at the same time over 35 hours I had lost all my coolant but the dealer states that the oil looks and smells normal and that it's just condensation. what are your thoughts?

not sure how it happened or what the cause is because it's a fuel injected model but with 32.5 hours on it it's going back to the dealer. I bought the kawasaki for it's "reliability" and it had a good warrantee so we're going to use it. I'll update how the process goes and what ends up happening with it

    Hey man, my buddy has a 6.4 powerstroke woth just over 100k miles. The EGR has not yet been deleted. He just bought the truck. It ran and drove great for about the first week, and then out of nowhere going down the interstate, it all of a sudden wouldnt build more than 10 psi of boost. He shuts it off and then turns it back on and it would build boost again. After doing that about 4 times it wouldnt reset. We just replaced the EBP sensor and took it for a drive. It ran amazing for about an hour or so and then out of nowhere it cut boost again. It randomly threw a check engine light and upon scanning we found out that it was telling us it was the fuel rail pressure sensor. The light randomly goes away and then comes back. What are your thoughts? Any help or input is greatly appreciated. Thank you a lot

      If the fuel rail pressure sensor is going bad the idle will flutter. What did the ebp sensor look like when you pulled it out?

    Just bought a brand new 2023 4010 mule a month ago. I had it 4 days and dealership called me about returning it for a "recall". Something about seals in cooling system leaking after 8 hours. Mine had 5.9 when I returned it for recall. I cannot find a single thing on this recall. Even when I put in vin, it says no recalls for this unit. Nearly a month now and the parts haven't even came in....not happy. I too went with Mule for their "reliably" hope I didn't mess that up! Ps 1st ever commenting on UA-cam after years of watching most everything. Just wanted your fans to know there is supposed to be a for these unit per dealership.

    • @ParkerMotorWorks
      @ParkerMotorWorks 2 місяці тому

      I had a coolant leak at the start but it was from the t fitting the dealer installed to divert flow to the heater. Easy fix I'm sure they just tightened it or put a new gasket in. The fuel in oil hasn't gone away. I need to change the oil pretty frequently compared to what the service manual states. However I have no performance loss and the machine is still every bit as capable I just can't tell the height of the oil and the color is always milky. I need to send off a oil sample again however to see if it is still fuel or just bad condensation. Dipstick is always wet all the way up the tube but most of it is water bubbles collecting on the flat section of the dipstick tube. Hopefully the dealer takes care of you. Doesn't sound like it yet

    • @DarrenTowner
      @DarrenTowner 2 місяці тому

      You should get a recall paper in the mail. Just got mine. It's says the crankcase gasket needs replaced. Says job takes 2 hours once parts are received. Dealership had mine for exactly a month.

    • @ParkerMotorWorks
      @ParkerMotorWorks 2 місяці тому

      Wow that's terrible having it a month. I can't go without this machine for that long. That's around when I started having issues and really noticed at 10+ hours. Told them something wasn't right oil was super milky instantly

    • @DarrenTowner
      @DarrenTowner 2 місяці тому

      Well, I gets it's a lot better than engine failure I guess. If you're model does have the recall, I would get it done. If not they'll probably tell you to kick rocks when engine goes. Just my opinion. Wish you the best. Hope our mules are as durable as the older models!

    That happened to a couple of trucks including mine back in 08 when we had the switch to ulsd. Mine was the worst with the tip splitting like that and ruining a piston. I was able to hone the cylinder and install a new piston and bearing on that rod. Still running strong today. Ive heard it is caused by water in the fuel.

    • @ParkerMotorWorks
      @ParkerMotorWorks 9 місяців тому

      Yup a little bit of water and you can have a bad day. Older ones took water contamination better than new trucks. If new trucks get any water mix it'll wipe the hpfp, fuel rail, injectors, and then into the motor. Water is no bueno

    The drain for the hydraulic tank is on either side of the hoe. Drain in the frame underneath, by the step on the left and exact spot on the right side bottom. 3/4 inch drive. I just found mine. Open the tank up first, let the air out, or you'll be splashed with hydraulic oil. Hydraulic fliter is a 2 inch socket to get off.

      The machine is perfect now. No clearance issues. Great in mud snow and does fine on ice. The machine still runs perfectly fine but the motor leaves much to be desired. Power isn't incredible and I can't even see how much oil it has. Motor has so much blow by its pushing fluid anywhere it can. Fluids dripping out of the oil filter now and still is pushing up the dip stick tube. The tube has so much fluid in it it mucks up the oil and the whole dipstick has oil on it
