Just bought a brand new 2023 4010 mule a month ago. I had it 4 days and dealership called me about returning it for a "recall". Something about seals in cooling system leaking after 8 hours. Mine had 5.9 when I returned it for recall. I cannot find a single thing on this recall. Even when I put in vin, it says no recalls for this unit. Nearly a month now and the parts haven't even came in....not happy. I too went with Mule for their "reliably" hope I didn't mess that up! Ps 1st ever commenting on UA-cam after years of watching most everything. Just wanted your fans to know there is supposed to be a for these unit per dealership.
I had a coolant leak at the start but it was from the t fitting the dealer installed to divert flow to the heater. Easy fix I'm sure they just tightened it or put a new gasket in. The fuel in oil hasn't gone away. I need to change the oil pretty frequently compared to what the service manual states. However I have no performance loss and the machine is still every bit as capable I just can't tell the height of the oil and the color is always milky. I need to send off a oil sample again however to see if it is still fuel or just bad condensation. Dipstick is always wet all the way up the tube but most of it is water bubbles collecting on the flat section of the dipstick tube. Hopefully the dealer takes care of you. Doesn't sound like it yet
You should get a recall paper in the mail. Just got mine. It's says the crankcase gasket needs replaced. Says job takes 2 hours once parts are received. Dealership had mine for exactly a month.
Wow that's terrible having it a month. I can't go without this machine for that long. That's around when I started having issues and really noticed at 10+ hours. Told them something wasn't right oil was super milky instantly
Well, I gets it's a lot better than engine failure I guess. If you're model does have the recall, I would get it done. If not they'll probably tell you to kick rocks when engine goes. Just my opinion. Wish you the best. Hope our mules are as durable as the older models!
My new Kubota Sidekick has the same problems. Spent almost 10 weeks at the dealership last summer at 20 hours and kubota finally said its a common problem for the subaru engine when it's used around a homestead and not run a minimum of 20 minutes every time it's started to evaporate the fuel from the crankcase. I have emails from others with it also. kubota does not care and the repair paperwork said it's because of short tripping the Subaru engine. That's why you see so many low hours ones for sale now. They advertise it as a homestead machine and that's false advertising. I know just how you feel. I have $18k in a piece of junk.
I'm about the same amount once I added the cab and such. I'm just gonna run it till it blows up cause the dealership didn't find anything wrong even though my oil analysis cane back with a critical level of gas mixture. Luckily it still runs fine for now
@@ParkerMotorWorks My analysis came back just like yours. My dealer said to run the crap out of it with the contamination and try to blow the engine so Kubota has to fix it because he knows it is a problem they are ignoring.
So what ha you found out . Is it at the dealer for warranty work remind them bout the screws missing and the other problems. Our 2023 just got picked up for normal warranty. Nothing wrong. Wife loves her mule. I got it for her.
Yup definitely going to tell them about the screws, fuel in oil and likely coolant in oil. It's been losing coolant steady but not quickly. I'm guessing headmaster was never installed correctly or heads not torqued
Get rid of your seat belts so they don’t wreck your seats and get a oil catch can off of EBay so it saves your throttle body. Use your tractor for trail rides
Not yet. They aren't super organized up there I called Monday and they guy said to call the day I drop it off because i would be dropping off after hours. So I called Wednesday and that guy was less than useless. He didn't write down any thing or tell anyone it was coming and where I hid the machines key. So then I got another call Thursday of a guy asking why it was up there as if I dropped it off out of the blue. But at least he was helpful and did a write up on why it was there. Hopefully next week I'll get a diagnosis even though I know it has a blown headgasket
I think the issue is actually resolving its self now. Uses significantly less fuel as before and on the most recent oil change it isn't just filling back up with gas immediately. On the next change I'm going to test the oil again and see what the scientist say
Yup I've got the machine back and I've made a video on what the dealer said but the jist of it is that the dealer told me all that is caused by condensation. Since them I've drained the oil and sent it off for analysis. Hopefully get those results back this week

@DarrenTowner yup I think you're right. Haven't gotten anything in the mail yet, fingers crossed
On my 3010 I put a raised 2in hitch. Would help your situation

Unreal things like this are happening with the tech of the modern days. How many hours you have on yours?
@@ParkerMotorWorks 28 hours now. The oil was like muddy water and a cup and a half high at the first 20 hour change.
Yup sounds simular to my situation

So have you called the dealership to come pick it up?
I went and dropped it off today. Supposedly the new stuff is a "priority" but we'll see
