St Kilda Beach to Titanic
Just using some shots I took today at St Kilda Beach to hide my shoddy fluid sim. Hope to have a complete sequence of the B Deck and Bridge flood done in a few days

B Deck2

Test using a combination of a low res fluid sim, displacement maps in Blender, and superimposing flood footage in top to add texture. No editing was done to remove artifacts, for example some flood footage overlaps parts of the columns where it should be absent
Early bridge flood test and sloooowwww progress update

It's slooowwwly coming together :). The water still needs A LOT more detail added, and I still need to add the hundreds of animated characters, life boats, deck chairs etc... but most of the hard stuff is almost done.
Titanic exterior scenes work in progress

Progress so far. I'll need to invest in a render farm because my poor little 1070 TI is having a tough time with Blender
Early Grand Staircase flood test

Just a quick test made today on After Effects. Longer version with final plunge sequence in progress. Still learning how to use this software so it's not the best so far. Grand Staircase used is from Titanic Honor & Glory's Demo 401 - titanichg.com/demo-401

This is just a test, not a final product. The superstructure is from Demo 401 (free - titanichg.com/demo-401) and the hull is from Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean (on Steam).

Just a short video of the 1st Class Reading & Writing Room, Lounge and Grand Staircase. I used Unreal Unlocker and activated the Camera option to do sweeping shots. Full credit goes to Titanic Honor & Glory. You can download the demo which currently includes all 1st Class common areas with some cabins included: www.titanichg.com/demo-401 00:00 Reading & Writing Room 00:56 1st Class Lounge 2:00 ...
Grand Staircase Flooding - Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean
Переглядів 254 тис.3 роки тому
From the game Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean. Sinking mode is only supposed to be experienced from the exterior of the ship, the interior is low-res as you should only be able to view it through the windows. However, a small bug allows you to fly around and view the low-res version of the ship's interior (including the Engine Room). 00:00 Before 00:29 Conversion 00:55 Sinking 01:45 S...
gosh, you should leave more time after the lights go out so people can appreciate how dark it got. Please tell me you have an extended version of this video
I was able to get in, but only the lower portion of the ship. I was never able to reach the Grand Staircase, though I saw it. I was frustrated because I could never get into the staircase itself during the sinking. I didn't think it was possible.
Wow, I hope we get to see a complete version one day
Have you finished this yet? I want to see it
Can I repost this and add sound to it? Obviously will give you credit.
Feel free :) Just also mention the background image used was from Honor and Glory
I'd like if you @ me, so then I'll get notified of your video so I can watch it
Is there a way to show this to the Titanic 401 project? Like, y’all should collaborate…
You need to make a real time sinking out of this. Nice to see someone isn't afraid of accurate lighting & tells it like it was.... Excellent job!
When Britannic's sinking, the dome can be implosion like in Titanic's one?
Coolest thing I've seen today. Great job
Name of the game?
Oh my.. how did I you do that?
this is impressive, arguably better than THG
Great work! however i think the ship would have been going down a lot quicker.
Absolutely stunning, I have never seen a Titanic animation with such realistic water.
Amazing work mate!!
EEEEEEEE AMAZING!!
Is that Roblox?
No
Amazing work
Does anyone want to play mini games with me 😢 😢
Here
1:48 I absolutely love that sound effect. Horryfying sound if you imagine yourself alone, trapped on a sinking ship, feeling the acceleration of the sinking and hearing the sounds of the sea rushing in to meet you. Incredible effect!
novel approach and works great!
It would be beautiful if it wasn't so tragic Great work
Im drowning 😖😵
Yes this is the most realistic and perfect lighting of that night .But could have added few mre lights to the stern .The lights then were only this bright so it wasn’t clearly visible then .
That looks great, good job! Just one think, i don't think the water would have been so wavy inside the ship, afterall the water wasn't rushing as the bow dipped in the water slowly, moreover I think the water rather than green-ish should be transparent-crystal
The greenish tone is derived from the light inside the ship, blue, with yellow gives green. The water was certainly entering the ship slowly, but when the water started to reach the D deck or higher, the water must have delivered with more speed inside the ship.Upon arrival in the water at the bow, the ship was already starting to accelerate
It's kinda surprising that they stripped the staircase after converting it. I don't see the point in getting rid of the wall clock and the Cherub.
Because it’s a hospital ship, items like that would make for an awful amount of cleaning to keep a sterile environment. Plus, white star line would’ve wanted to preserve those items for when Britannic would go into passenger service, which sadly never happened.
@ShipvsAnimation they went into storage, some of the fittings were used on her sister ship Olympic after the war. The rest may have been scrapped or sold. Supposedly the Britannic’s pipe organ is on display and still operating at the Museum Für Musikautomatem in Seewen, Switzerland.
Wow, you’re using real water movement as reference. Amazing.
the 14th and 15th are coming up, is the video ready or are we going to have a new video showing the progress? 😄
I'll be releasing a trailer in a few days. I only just back into making it in the last month and forgot just how time consuming rendering and fluid sims were in Blender. My new deadline is June :/
In the meantime check out H&Gs, Part Time Explorer and Titanic Animations full sinkings ☺
@@karlvuleta don't worry, take your time to make it perfect
@@karlvuleta What's up? It's been a year! I just saw this and now I am a big air conditioner!
I can't wait for the final product
Looks good. One thing I might add, the water coming in is coming up through the coal bunkers, engines, plus all the crap that floats. By the time it reaches the staircase its going to look more like a flash flood than a pool overflowing. Coal and oil float and they'll be at the top. Plus every toilet and drain below the water will be pukin' its contents into the water. Cameron missed it.
In my more recent renders the water is much darker. Initially I thought it was too dark and didn't look anything like the 97 film and I couldn't seem to make it brighter, but I'm just going to pretend it's all the ash and coal that made it dark and it was completely intentional ☺ thanks Check out the more recent ones on my channel
@@karlvuleta Thank you for the acknowledgement. At least your lighting is probably spot on. 1912 light bulbs were about equal to a modern 15w incandescent. The movie misses alot but at least the action is probably as good as it gets.
i think the coal would have been stopped by the decks and doors?
This blend of fluid and live film is just amazing! I just found your work and now I'm looking forward to the end result! I look forward to seeing what break-up theory you'll be using. Judging by how you animated the tables and chairs from the La Carte Restaurant falling over in your trailer, you're certainly not holding back!
good, but it would be better if it was actually 3d.
Amazing!! I would like to see more of it!
I’ve actually used a method similar to this to get pulled through the water and see the ship sinking from below. There’s actually a sea bed which the ship ends up resting on. Got awesome screenshots of it.
I'm looking forward to seeing the end result.
I only have one thing to say, excellent work, the honor and glory team needs you,
I'm just compositing effects onto their work and a few other models. Thank you, but they definitely don't need me ☺. Are you ready for the release of 401 2.0?
I can't wait, the 2.0 graphics are amazing.
@@diogosantos5426 not long now ☺
will launch in April this year?
That's my deadline ☺
@@karlvuleta Don't be in a hurry to do it, mainly because it looks amazing. It's better to take time and get everything perfect. I would love to see a real time with the whole ship sinking inside or interspersed with the outside, but having the final minutes is going to be amazing
I just imagine being there when the lights went out and then you hear the roaring of the ship as it breaks, everything is pitch black, and all you hear is the breaking of the ship and the screams of the people in pitch blackness. I don't know how any of the survivors remained sane after that. I think the trauma from it would have broken me.
Just the sheer horror and terror of being in the middle of the ocean at night and the ship sinking and with all the screaming and sounds .Wld have been nightmare!
Beautiful stuff.. and to think it was only appreciated for 4 days!
amazing work!
How to sink it? What key to press?
You select the “play the sinking” option in the menu when you start the game.
What key to press?
amazing job! indeed, the best flooding animation I've seen so far.
Is this for THG?
This the best flooding animation I saw
Another great animation, I'm really impressed - must follow.
