- Just a quick test made today on After Effects. Longer version with final plunge sequence in progress.
Still learning how to use this software so it's not the best so far.
Grand Staircase used is from Titanic Honor & Glory's Demo 401 - titanichg.com/...
That is one of the best interior flooding Animations I have seen! Keep up the great work.
Mesmerising. Closest I've ever felt to watching genuine footage of the sinking. Would love to see this stock footage visual as the boat deck first starts to go under during the final plunge
Coolest thing I've seen today. Great job
That last part of the clip looked super realistic.
Amazing! Is this THG or did you edit the water on it?
Just edited water stock footage on it using After Effects. It was my first attempt as I'm new to all of this, I'm experimenting with Blender to see if I can get more violent water effects because this shot looks too calm. The water was on the Boat Deck at this point and should be rushing in.
@@karlvuleta It looks amazing. Great Job!
Oh I thought this was a real flood
Wow, I hope we get to see a complete version one day
JESUS CHRIST IM ALWAYS LOOKING AT TITANIC STUFF AND IK THAT GHIS VIDEO WAS ONLY POSTED 6 DAYS AGO BUT HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS AND WHY IS IT SO UNDERRATED! Great job!
how long did this take u to make
About 4-5 hours in After Effects. It was just using water footage composited on top of an image with some blending and colour correction.
I'm working with Blender now, so I can do actual fluid simulations which takes A LOT longer to do.
This is god tier editing. May I see the project file so I can try how to make something similar?
Puter, fancy seeing you here ☺. I'm doing a longer version now that I'm getting better with after effects, I'll send you something on discord in a few weeks when I've done more of my project
Incredible work! It looks so real. Best flooding animation I've ever seen in my whole life that's for sure.
That looks Great! 7/10
good, but it would be better if it was actually 3d.
That is beautiful. Water is usually hard to do in animation.
What key to press?
Looks good. One thing I might add, the water coming in is coming up through the coal bunkers, engines, plus all the crap that floats. By the time it reaches the staircase its going to look more like a flash flood than a pool overflowing. Coal and oil float and they'll be at the top. Plus every toilet and drain below the water will be pukin' its contents into the water. Cameron missed it.
In my more recent renders the water is much darker. Initially I thought it was too dark and didn't look anything like the 97 film and I couldn't seem to make it brighter, but I'm just going to pretend it's all the ash and coal that made it dark and it was completely intentional ☺ thanks
Check out the more recent ones on my channel

Thank you for the acknowledgement. At least your lighting is probably spot on. 1912 light bulbs were about equal to a modern 15w incandescent. The movie misses alot but at least the action is probably as good as it gets.
i think the coal would have been stopped by the decks and doors?
Nice
Can I repost this and add sound to it? Obviously will give you credit.
Feel free :) Just also mention the background image used was from Honor and Glory
I'd like if you @ me, so then I'll get notified of your video so I can watch it
Wow, greeaaat! Trully remarkable, it looks so real 😮 how much time did You spend on it?
This is brilliant! Keep it up
Amazing work
This is brilliant .
