Just using some shots I took today at St Kilda Beach to hide my shoddy fluid sim. Hope to have a complete sequence of the B Deck and Bridge flood done in a few days
Thank you ☺. I'm trying to compensate for my crappy fluid sim skills with real footage to at least make it immersive enough to believe. It's not going to be as good as James Cameron's incredible feat obviously
I'll be releasing a trailer in a few days. I only just back into making it in the last month and forgot just how time consuming rendering and fluid sims were in Blender. My new deadline is June :/

This blend of fluid and live film is just amazing! I just found your work and now I'm looking forward to the end result! I look forward to seeing what break-up theory you'll be using. Judging by how you animated the tables and chairs from the La Carte Restaurant falling over in your trailer, you're certainly not holding back!
That looks great, good job! Just one think, i don't think the water would have been so wavy inside the ship, afterall the water wasn't rushing as the bow dipped in the water slowly, moreover I think the water rather than green-ish should be transparent-crystal
The greenish tone is derived from the light inside the ship, blue, with yellow gives green. The water was certainly entering the ship slowly, but when the water started to reach the D deck or higher, the water must have delivered with more speed inside the ship.Upon arrival in the water at the bow, the ship was already starting to accelerate
I'm just compositing effects onto their work and a few other models. Thank you, but they definitely don't need me ☺. Are you ready for the release of 401 2.0?
This the best flooding animation I saw
Wow super realistic

@@karlvuleta crappy? Bro, this is far from crappy. You’re doing the best you can do with the resources you have. Which is beyond incredible.

novel approach and works great!
Wow, you’re using real water movement as reference. Amazing.
