One of the greatest album of the year by 94 and underrated ever in music history.

this was from an old 1970's late-night tv show called "'don kirshner's rock concert". back then, that was one of the few shows that would broadcast a recorded rock performance. there were only three nationally-syndicated tv networks, and this was the kind of programming that could only be targeted to a late night audience, because rock listeners weren't a big enough slice of the regular viewing demographic to broadcast it in prime time.

My favorite band in the world, my favorite record, and my favorite song. W dad. I've taken my daughter to see Fear Factory a handful of times. My youngest son has seen them with us. They already know this song will be played at my funeral.

They were distracted by the weird stage performance. Should have let them listen to the studio version. As a matter of fact, it was a poor choice for an intro to Alice Cooper. Why not "Schools Out", or "I'm 18". Or maybe even "Poison".

Stories like are important to remember and I hope you never stop being emotional about it. I can't imagine there are many in the US who can truly understand the scope of the horror that was World War I. There was a battle where the front lines stretched across France from the English Channel halfway to the Mediterranean and lasted days without a break. No one was ready for this new level of warfare. Hundreds of thousands of people dying for nothing more than agreements between rulers to send their citizens to fight for someone else's argument, people pushing back on rulers who made their lives miserable, and powerful people wanting more power for no other reason than they felt entitled to it. It's important to remember that each casualty from a battle in history or today is more than a statistic but is a person with hopes and dreams and family and friends.

Stigler's story also reminds us that not everyone in either side buys in totally to the cause. Stigler wasn't a Nazi or wanted to conquer. To him, he was protecting his home. Franz Stigler was a warrior doing his job, not a mindless killer. In addition to gaining a friend, he got to end the war as a man not a murderer.

Thank you so much for reacting to this. I was in high school when this song first came out in 1979. I remember it well. My girlfriend and I at the time loved attending concerts. It was one of the things we loved doing together. There were a huge number of wonderful groups at the time and concerts were not very expensive to attend. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Triumph, 38 Special, Foreigner, and many others. I can not describe to you what a wonderful time it was to be young then. We were happier, relationships were closer, life was more carefree, and the music was spectacular. My heart just aches that young people will not get to experience life as we did as teenagers in the 70’s/80’s. Again, thank you so much for posting this video. It was a wonderful treat.

Fun fact: This entire album is set to the same click track so it flows seamlessly from song to song. Brilliant. 🤘

I was at Earl's Court on the night before this performance, the entire concert was almost 3 hours long, in the 1st half they played the entire 'Division Bell ' album with some classics and in the 2nd half they played the entire 'Dark Side of the Moon ' album with some more classics and when they returned for the encore they played 'Wish You Were Here ' ,' Comfortably Numb ' and then they closed with 'Run Like Hell ' ,I hope that helps your daughter with her question.
