I might’ve figured it out eventually, but pointing out the additional factory crossbar mounting location made my day! Thanks! Worth the price of admission.
I just finished installing on my 2019 Outback. Wish I had seen this first. I just reused the original bolts to attach the brackets. The new bolts that came with the rails didn’t seem to thread into the existing holes. Maybe it was user error.
Thank you for this! While watching the video,, I realize that I had an integrated rail system already installed in my 2019 Outback. I was prepared to buy and install a system that would be redundant.
Whats the measurement from the top of the outside lip of the stock integrated black plastic sidebars to the top of the ADF crossbar?? Wonder how much I need to add to my tent height for my garage clearance
@@WildernessOffroad Thanks! We would for sure fit, it's just s matter of how we like to do it 😉 If we are lucky, straight onto one of the holes on the bottom steel brackets without the crossbars. Another option is to adapt the distance front-rear on our system to fit. We could also probably add a hole in the existing brackets for the correct distance. We agree this looks like high quality and way simpler than assembling Thule/Yakima articles.
Anyone else get a LOUD whistling resonance with these bars installed between 65-80mph? It only occurs when I don’t have anything installed on the bars… incredibly loud inside the cabin
Well you need the crossbars for a basket anyways, right? If it’s stock or aftermarket there’s still a weight limit. I upgraded for a way larger limit to be able to mount a tent more safely.
Yeah I don’t think they will fit sadly… but if you contact him on IG or through his email, maybe you could figure out if he is designing some. I feel like he may be!
Very shame that a company can't provide a packing list and do their due diligence when packing and shipping a product to a customer. Also confusion with extra+ parts. Kudos for getting the parts sent, however, it costs YOU the customer, for YOUR time (and possible paid installation) which the distributor/dealer won't provide a dime for THEIR mistakes. Yes, mistakes happen, however, there seems to be little to zero customer care these days.
It is what it is I guess.. but at least it’s all been resolved! He had the parts in the mail the next day! I will say.. I was lucky I didn’t have my tent yet when I tried to install the crossbars the first time.. I would have been real upset lol
@@WildernessOffroaddo those extra nuts need to be attached underneath? I had the same thing with the extra flang nuts and thought maybe you have to attach them under the plastic rails somehow

ADF have definitely mastered their water jet cutter amd CAD programming
I hope they do similar crossbars for the crosstrek too. I really like the low profile look.
I recommend adding Thread-lock to the mounting bolts.
I wonder if those bars works on a 4th gen Outback? Love what you have done so far.

Nice. Youre right about the yakima bars. Theyre so high i hate it on my OB.

Thanks for sharing, just ordered set… 😊
Do you have to remove the factory installed crossbars
Are you still using a RTT on your Outback? Worth getting one? Thanks!
I don’t currently run a RTT but I really like it! I’m looking into getting another sometime

I could measure it sometime, but I don’t think it’s more than 2 inches.
These look awesome, they're exactly what i need but I can't seem to find ADF anywhere online. Am i missing something?
Should pop up, look up Anderson Design and Fabrication.
I'm wondering if I'm missing something; these bars are absolutely ugly.
What's the wind noise like with those? They're not exactly aero.
It’s really not too bad, but I guess I can’t here them over my KO2s and exhaust lol
What is the Center - Center distanec between the front and rear?
I’ll look into it! Seeing if your system will fit?

Hi, I need just the 4 bracket with their scores. Can you tell me where I find them please? THANKS.
Well the 4 brackets came with the bars, but if you contact them maybe they will sell them separately. They’re still from ADF

I have not had that problem.. I wonder why it’s doing that?
is it stainless bolts?
Where can I purchase this roof rack and rail from
Crossbars from ADF rails are stock.
So are there plugs for sale to plug those holes on the rails? Or can yall leave that open without issues of leaking and etc. Thanks!
No special plugs but you can find rubber corks that fit if you really want, not a big issue though if you don’t.
What’s the point of a crossbar? Isn’t the basket a better option?
Well you need the crossbars for a basket anyways, right? If it’s stock or aftermarket there’s still a weight limit. I upgraded for a way larger limit to be able to mount a tent more safely.
I wish they make it little longer to put boat on it.
Yeah, you could make your own extension if you wanted. There’s plenty of mounting holes to do so!
You can order custom length. Just contact ADF and tell them what you need.
Anyone know if these will fit on a 2013 outback with factory crossbars???
The won’t fit
What did it cost to purchase the adf crossbars
After tax and shipping a little over $350
Don't think these will fit the Wilderness, it doesn't have the factory crossbar mounts. Love the crossbar though, wish I could put it on my OBW.
