What Happens to Worlds That Are Forgotten?
Переглядів 31 тис.3 місяці тому
Witness the power of nature, the fragility of civilization... and perhaps even catch a glimpse of what the future might hold for us all. There’s something haunting about worlds that have been abandoned. Yet, when I look at a forgotten place, I feel a certain allure that is hard to explain. There’s just something about exploring worlds that have been lost that ignites a natural human curiosity a...
The Cosmic Horror of the Deep Ocean
Переглядів 281 тис.4 місяці тому
I have Thalassophobia, but I have an obsession with the idea of colossal sea creatures lurking in the watery depths. The depths inspire a primal dread known as thalassophobia, An intense fear of deep water. This phobia is deeply connected to the broader concept of cosmic horror - for both the deep sea and deep space are alien realms cloaked in darkness and mystery, where the rules of our famili...
Games that are Locked Behind Knowledge
Переглядів 236 тис.6 місяців тому
Life feels a little emptier after knowing that the first playthrough of a Knowledge-Based Game is gone forever. Typically, games rely on skill-based challenges with strategic decision making in real time. Progress is tied to defeating enemies or overcoming physical obstacles. But there's another way to progress, that's less about new tools and more about new ideas. Instead of obtaining an item ...
Cruel Worlds in Games
Переглядів 108 тис.7 місяців тому
Let us temper this world's cruelty, just a little. What does it take for a world to feel truly hopeless? Beyond a brutal difficulty setting or relentless hordes of enemies, what creates that feeling of dread as you witness a world suffocating under its own despair? It's a twisted kind of attraction, but the grim spectacle of survival in a cruel world is both horrifying and beautiful. 00:00 You ...

Dredge is Terrifying and Beautiful
Hmm now this is some Lovecraftian horror.
6:34 this could be said about the universe itself.
I could barely handle Submerged 1 and 2....
Nothing compared to the experiences I’ve had with reaper leviathans…
Is this snnuy?
My man, what a video! This was my introduction to your channel, and I gotta say that I thoroughly enjoy your work, the pacing of your commentary, and your insight. Keep up the good work!
game name
So the leviathan is completely massive and terrifying in all ocean games and not just Subnautica?
Just at the start: Would you NOT consider a sentient, living planet to be a 'species'? Even the tiniest, most basic unthinking organisms on Earth are considered species'.
The planet in the thumbnail reminds me of an urban legend….
I think I'm getting pretty close to finishing Dredge. I remember reaching GC for the first time. One of the locals said that I "SHOULD" be able to outpace it as long as i can navigate the passageways I was not able to outpace it (without Haste)
wtf is that Snnuy? xd
looks worse than sid meiers pirates from 2004.
If you fear the modern oceans be glad that you're not in the oceans in prehistoric times. Megalodon, mosasaurus, sea scorpions, and other prehistoric sea monsters.
🕹️❤️🎮
I got spoiled the leviathan from a review 😢
I made some lore about something like this once. A wandering planet made of huge vines with a colossal eyeball on it.
My experience is that the game directs you the Gale Cliffs first. The serpent is not too difficult to deal with as long as you can speed away quickly, but if you get there early you are likly to have slow engines. Thats what makes is scary. The other areas, monster management is less dependant on your boats stats.
This feels like an advertisement
I’m never playing this game, it scares me just watching it
I love this game
where can i download?
What's this game name?
this is one of my favorite games, right behind Bloodborne
I actually fucked off to the iron rig in mild frustration at the gale cliffs anf devil's spine regions. I only ever finished gale after the game dragged me back there for sludge fishing.
You sounds like Snnuy
No mention of Mogo, DC's living planet who is actually friendly?
Gojira... Gojira...
what was that game where u have to make the planet green?
I love the Little nightmares soundtrack in the background btw❤

one of the best games ever
Not mentioning Gemini home entertainments “Iris” in this video is a CRIME
When i played the game, i forgot that the distant ship was actually an anglerfish immediately after the first encounter. Then i saw it again and went "oh, a friend". It was not, in fact, a friend
"warning, entering ecological dead zone, are you sure what you are doing is worth it?" vibes
Bro did not include Unichrone from transformers, he too is a planet and is alive despite also being a machine
Dredge x Still Wakes the Deep
Sunny is that you?
one question mingle in my mind. why are they tried to consume metal ship. XD
Honestly.... a monster like that attacking a boat seems totally irrational. - Boats are like.. 99% wood, 1% people meat. Cant imagine, unless it needs fiber in its diet, something that big would eat a boat. - Then again... fish fall for plastic and wood lures all the time. ;)
Honestly this is one of the few horror games thats ever scared me. And i think if i ever encountered the leviathan in my play through (the random event one) I'd have shit myself and never touched the game again
If this was more realistic looking it would be actually terrifying. This is just cute.
Subnataca but 2d
My zoomer ass got introduced to the concept through Gemini Home Entertainment, and I've never seen a better horror concept so far (imo)
