Skeletember is upon us! Time for some short Spine tips every day! (hopefully!) Today's tip shows how you can quickly incorporate png sequences using Spine 2D. Spine 4.0 and below requires keying each frame individually, but Spine 4.1 recently gave us even more control over png sequences with the sequence feature! For Spine 4.0 and below, place all of your attachments in a single slot and then j...

First off, AMAZING tutorial! I haven't seen that many people go over how to properly prepare the asset for rigging and this filled in some gaps in my head so thank you! Secondly, did you also use Photoshop and Spine2D for the character representing yourself with orange hair and a yellow dress that's in the beginning and end of the videos too? It looks so sharp like a vector drawing so I'm curious how you kept it from looking rasterized. I want to go in a rubber hose direction with very clean lines but I always seem to have issues with raster images. Thank you so much! You're awesome at teaching.
Starfish vs. Tree is a *genius* way to describe different rigging strategies!!
You are excellent at making tutorials
I tried the latest method aaaaaaannnnd did not work! Still figuring out what is missing. Had to figure where some boxes were since there is no mention of going from setup to animation which I figured later on. That's why I'm trying to figure what else is forgotten to mention in the video Either way, thanks, I guess?
I just gotta say that I love all your content and it's really helped me to learn and feel better as an animator. I'm really hoping there will be more parts to these tutorials, only because they're so fun and helpful and they're my favorite thing to learn Spine from atm (:
thanks<3
How DARE you make to-the-point easy-to-understand exactly-what-I-need videos, who do you think you are?!
2:00 to 2:30 this is what I am struggling to learn.
Where is part 4?😭 Amazing tutorial, btw
What's wrong with the deformation? Lol (I genuinely don't know). Great vid btw
Where is part 4 🥲
NOT ME BEING AN ENTIRE 3MONTHS LATE 😭😂
I want to be a vfx artist but i saw in job description ppl needed to use Spine 2D which means i have to get certain knowledge and drawing skills, is it true ? :<
where is the next part for this? I have followed exactly and made so far but now I need to know how to attach rig to the body
so you have to parent the slots to the bone?
Thank you! This was very helpful!
Your character is rather adorable! Is than an egg on her head?
It is indeed!! :D
@@Anipalooza I'd love to create a rig of my own for your character if that is fine by you! I'm currently engaged in an ambitious animation experiment, which would affect how I build my rigs from this point onwards. First, I just need to build a more simple rig of a character I could easily animate. Then, I'll later build rigs of various other characters!
I was hoping to see a video like this from you🎉! I was recently trying to make some skins and I quickly ran into problems I didn't understand. Now I'm going to try it again with this approach- thank you!❤
Woohoo happy to help! :D
Omg what a great tutorial
Thank you so much! :D
Great! I was looking foward to learn how the meshes should look.and that thing about the replacing its very cool! I normally duplicated the entire skin so it asks me is i want linked meshes, then went one by one writing the name of the new part by hand, changing the path 😂 jajajj
Yes! Love the way we can duplicate images per slot for a new skin. Makes it so much faster to set up! 😁
this whole tutorial series is the best thing to have happened. Want more

Thank you! ✨✨
you make the best spine tutorials. thanks for helping me get the ball rolling.
Aww thanks! Happy I could help! 😁
if you are wondering why your pngs wont load, save your project first
You guys are so cute together. Thank you for the video and for your time and enthusiasm.
I'm a Unity game developer that want to use Spine in my workflow, is the BootCamp still available for sign up?
Hi! Yes there is still room available if you want to join in! We are only on week 3 which should still be easy enough to catch up to, and we have one other student who isn't even starting until week 4 or 5. Would love to have you! :D animation.thrivecart.com/spine-animator-bootcamp/
Super helpful, thanks so much!
Glad I could help!! 😁
Awww I found this out too late :(
@@AdrianRosarioPR we didn’t end up with a full class if you want to join us! We are only on week 2 and week 1 is fairly easy to catch up on. 😁
These are great tips and so well-delivered! ❤ Thank you for the thoughtful video!
Thanks Hannah!
Strange. I made IK constrain just like in this video and the red dot just sliding along the bone not standing at the end of bone.
Did you make sure to select two bones at the same time first? This will happen if you select only one bone.
@@Anipalooza Thanks It was it
Could you please make animation of this rig?
헉
Omg how did you make it so your spine model could get tracked to your face? Its so cute!!!
There's a Vtuber prototype made by Silverstraw! It's pretty cool! I have plans for a video at some point on how to use it. :D silverstraw.itch.io/spine-vtuber-prototype-2
Is there any benefit to being the artist and animator or is a niche skill reserved for small studios? Also if I could give an idea for a video it would be about the expectations of programing concepts for spine animators. While for the moment I use Spine just as an animation tool, looking around I find spine users quite skilled in programming concepts and console usage and feels intimidating for people like me who are just starting out.
There's definitely a benefit if you are an artist and an animator because you could potentially do the whole animated project yourself, but it would potentially slow down production if it's a fast turn around. At the very least, knowing how to prep the art and how to instruct a client's artist to do so will save you a headache as a Spine animator though. And while Spine is regularly used by small studios, it does get used by larger ones too. Neptunia RPG was animated in Spine for example. As for the programming and console usage parts, I've been a Spine animator for over 6 years and I STILL don't know much about how it integrates into a game engine aside from looking up the instructions online and importing it. So I wouldn't be too intimidated by that! It's nice if you know, but not a requirement.
Plz upload breathing idle animation tutorial
Thank you so much for this helpful tutorial! :D
