Great job on the video! Looks like you have a wonderful helping family as well. One thing to note is the torque for the pivot arm bolts should be 110 instead of 80 ft lbs. Thanks for posting and ignore the tool haters in the comments! Your Dad’s snap-on torque wrench costs more than their whole harbor freight tool set.

Leave the valance on the truck. Use electrical tape to make the shape you want. Sabre saw or sawsal follow the tape line. Shureform plane for final results. The advantage of leaving the valance on the truck is you have total control of what you are working on.

guys there is a second hole for the pin. open the handle all the way put the pin in the second hole and pull forward it will release.

The tires that are on your truck look so good. What difference from before. Nice upgrade!

Very nice! Same hitch I'm ordering, and thanks for sharing. Might be an optical illusion, but it looked like the top of the hitch plate dips to the left some when lining it up with the top of the bulkhead. Probably the angle of the camera, but wasn't sure.

So, these "kind of work', if a deer on the side of the road or in the yonder facing you, the horns can alert it to spruce its neck up and look... your headlamps catch the deers glowing eyes, and it can give you enough time to slow down and proceed with caution, etc. Deers are fucking unpredictable low... sometimes they will cross when you let them, other times they wait, and other times you will decide to drive forward and THEN they will dart out. They are truly dumb but beautiful animals.

Ok, everybody quarterbacked so for the benefit of future viewers, let me convey B&Ws advice. 1) Companion Hitches don't have spring loaded jaws that pop open when the lever is swung forward to open them. Therefore, you will NOT see the jaws open. the video makers clearly didn't read teh simple pictorial manual or the short text Operator's Manual. It clearly states what I said above and that once you've raised teh trailer a bit to unload vertical load, just pin the arm open and slowly pull forward. The Jaws only open and release teh pin upon being pulled open by the KingPin as you drive forward. All this binding talk that people apply to B&W doesn't really exist, like in most spring loaded "pop open" on release style couplers. READ the MANUAL. B&W is very clear, the hitch was working absolutely fine.

Man be lucky feel lucky You've got a good loving father-in-law who'll work right alongside with you. Mature and understands that his job as father-in-law is to see you as son and to help you be successful in taking care of yourself his daughter and your family. As a truck driver, I gotta say this is painful to watch… I will give you a tip though, always have some weight resting on the 5th wheel where the rear of the truck is barely squatting if any, you’ll be able to pull in/out like butter. And no the angle of the truck does not matter, if you’re doing it right. Keep the skid plate and pin well greased and the locking jaws clean of debris.

Thank you for the video. I have two 2016 model Radrovers I assemble myself. I had additional issues of: - spokes being loose causing ting-ting sound when riding. Half the spokes were at various levels of tq. Hand tq the spokes the same and no more ting. - one front brake rotor not true causing it to rub against the brake pads. Used adjustable wrench to true it up - derailleur was bent inward and the chain would rub against the fat tire in lower gears. Bent back into place by hand - the screws kept working themselves out on the rear rack every few weeks. Added blue loctite I would double-check every last nut, bolt, connector, and screw after a few weeks of riding to make sure nothing was worked itself loose. It was recommend back then to let the battery pack fully charge overnight to balance out the power in all the individual cells. Not sure if the newer batteries need to do this.

Been debating the polycarbonate top vs the aluminum top. I don’t need the extra weight rating of the aluminum model. Main concern is keeping the bed as dry as possible during rain/snow. Appreciate any insights.
