      It should activate with the action 5 - as long as the mic is compatible with it, and allows you to access settings.

    So complicated. Why not just put the bell hub into bridge mode and use cat6 cables?

    • @TechMixr

      There isn’t a true bridge mode on the homehub 4000 / gigahub. We have to use PPPoE, even with Bell’s almost-bridge mode. It’s not ideal. Maybe I’ll do a new video explaining the bypass, the benefits and what Bell is still getting wrong.

    I think it’s kinda funny - and no shade to anyone here, I totally get why people do it - when people preface criticism of mkbhd’s speeding by admitting that they’ve occasionally broken the speed limit, as if it’s hypocritical to take issue with someone doing 60MPH over the posted limit in a RESIDENTIAL AREA. I mean, I get it. I took a moment to check myself and go, hey, people make mistakes - was it really that bad? And then I’m like, YES, that wasn’t an accident! And I think his response to the backlash so far has also reflected poorly on his character. You’re right when you talk about image and parasocial relationships. We can’t help but build up an image of how we perceive someone to be based on their content alone. I personally had a lot of respect for the guy: he pours a lot of work into his channel and seems like a nice guy. But now knowing he sometimes drives recklessly because he has an expensive car, that has shifted my perception and will definitely make his videos less appealing to me going forward.

      Thank you for the thoughtful comment and understanding what I was trying to say. 🙏🏾 Some of the comments that were coming in were either people who thought I was attacking MKBHD (which I’m not, I made that clear), people who clearly didn’t watch the whole video- and thought this was click bait, or just rude comments (most of the comments I just mentioned are removed now if you don’t see them) I was actually concerned that nobody understood until I just read this. Your sentiments are exactly how I felt.

    Im gonna give you a critical response, it’s an app. He didn’t hurt anyone, he took the feedback and switched gears on how he went about it. Most app developers don’t face everyone the way he did and Im saying that as someone who isn’t a big fan of his content. This is no hate to you directly but this is another clickbait video about a gigantic nothing burger.

    • @TechMixr
      @TechMixr 12 днів тому

      Thanks for the critical response. However, I have to ask, did you watch the whole video? Because he almost hurt someone or himself. The beginning was about the app. This isn’t clickbait, this is actually messy. The other part was about him doing more than double the speed limit in a zone where there’s posted signs for kids crossing.

    • @Blitterbug
      @Blitterbug 9 днів тому

      Wot?? No hate, but calling Shaun out for clickbait? K then... I'm a reasonably astute guy who _hates_ clickbait with a burning passion, and can smell it a mile off. Absolutely none of it here. Please, please use a dictionary before using words my man. Not to mention he qualified every criticism he made with statements like 'may be none of my business', etc. Guy couldn't be less clickbaity if he tried. 'What are you doing, Marques?' is both the title _and_ the content. Thus the very antithesis of 'clickbait'.

    • @TechMixr
      @TechMixr 8 днів тому

      Someone who took the time to watch the entire video. 🙏🏾 - I’m actually floored at some of the responses I’ve been getting. There’s one viewer (who if they’re reading this, I actually hid them from the channel so good luck commenting into the abyss) - who kept calling it horeshit with their comments (plural). Another user immediately out of the gate just decided to call me fat repeatedly and then wondered why I got offended. This comment isn’t the worst, but it indicates to me that the whole video wasn’t viewed. But I thank you so much for defending my point. 🙏🏾 - it’s not click bait everyone, watch the video in its entirety.

    Hi! Great video. I just got Bell 1.5 Fibre and wondering without a proper bridge mode, what is the most straight forward way to get good wifi around the house and connect an iptv box, ps5 and still use Fibe TV. Would the solution just be to get 1 or 2 of those Asus routers? Or get something like a TP-Link Deco etc. Mainly just on zoom for work, ps5 gaming and general heavy browsing and streaming? Thanks! Had a frustrating day with Bell on my installation day

      So I use the 2 AX89X routers in AIMesh and have for a while now. Connecting 10GbE between them has been flawless. The best thing you can also do is download a wifi analyzer and manually throw the 5 GHz on a channel that’s not clogged up with other networks (do this on the first router). When AIMesh does its process, it’ll be on the same channel / SSID. Good luck!

I wasn’t sure if I should add more say like go up to 500 gbs but was told it would do nothing for signal .. it’s working through two walls no to get there … so I’ve tried eero 6 and a extender … both leaving me with less gbs then I had with the HH3000 .. So I think I’m going to have to live with it the way it is … we’ll see .. thanks for responding it’s much appreciated!

Might buy another with receiver to use it with my Nikon. I understand it’s part of an integrated system and I understand how it was specified because I’m an old engineer and know these things. That jury rigged setup was risable. If you ever told us what you plan to use the stand alone Mic2 for, well I have forgotten it. It likely was not, and should not have been a requirement for DJI design engineers to consider, then or now.

    I've been with Bell since 2007 when I moved into my brand new / new build home. At that time Bell's fastest service was 15 mb/s and that was painfully slow. When they offered 100Mb/s I switched over and that was a little more tolerable. When Bell announced Fiber 1 Gb internet many years ago I got super excited and started planning how to wire my home to take advantage of that service. I had an electrician wire many CAT8 cables throughout and I purchased many 10 Gb switches. The wait was very long and I saw Rogers tunneling Fiber into my neighborhood but I stuck with Bell and their 100 Mbp/s speed. It was only last year when they had their contractors started digging and tunnelling Fiber wires into my neighborhood. When that happened I went out and upgraded my home routers to 2 ASUS GT-BE98 Pro because it supported 10Gb speeds and Wifi7. I also built a new Synology NAS 8 Bay unit and stuffed it with eight 22 TB drives (2 drive fault tolerance) and installed the OEM 10Gbe network card. I was all set, then by the time the contractors got to my home, Bell decreased their offering from 8Gb/s to 3Gb/s. The technician said I was the first one to sign up for this service in my neighborhood and the main panel which is housed just outside my area has a switch that he could flip to change my speed to 8Gb/s. He said there is no way he was allowed to give me that speed and I would have to call Bell to see if I can have that service. He also said that other neighborhoods where customers already had 8 GB/s were allowed to keep that speed and were "grandfathered" as long as they kept that service. This was all last year, I'll try to call them again soon and see if I can negotiate for them to upgrade my speed to 8Gb/s, I do not mind to pay for the extra cost.
