Hi Andre, very much so yes. They both look & act the part. 😎 However I would rather recommend going with the Patriot brand. It is the exact same product from the exact same factory, just brought into SA by Cooper tyres, which means they have a much larger backup footprint than that of Radar Renegade, which is brought in by Exclusive tyres. (Cape Town based) The manufacturere is called Omni-United, very passionate team in their products. I love these tyres.

Thans Florence. They are quite good with wet conditions from what I have seen so far. Snow we do not really have too much of where I stay in Cape Town. So I cannot comment with an honest review on the snow. But the guys drive them in the states as well where they have snow, so I'm sure the tires fare well in the snow as well. Hi Jonathan, the RT's seems better in most applications than the Grabbers, especially when deflating they do not 'bulge out' as much at lower pressure as the Crabbers. We will be doing some more sand routes within the next 2 weeks or so. I will look to do an update regarding sand driving conditions on them. 👍

Hi there, I cannot really say as I never used the BF brand before. What I can say though is that I can buy an extra (5'th tyre casing) for the same price as 4 BF Goodrich tyres in Southern Africa. The prices of BF Goodrich simply got insanely high lately. Hope it helps. 🙂

Hi Joe, if you mean towing as in the case where the vehicle doing the actual towing job / work, I cannot really say as our vehicle is never used for towing trailers or caravans etc. But seeing that they have 12mm tread depth, I recon the longevity should be better than worse over the lifespan of the rubber. How are they in rain and snow?

@@michaelprezioso4288 we do not really have such a lot of snow in South Africa to be able to truly raise an opinion on snow driving. The few times that we did drive in the rain, it was a very smooth ride to be honest. That being deep puddles of water on the road or shallow. I hope it helps answer your question.

Hi Louis, no specific reason actually. I just connected them up that way. Your solar controller how ever would dictate whether or not you can connect in series, it will have a maximum voltage range or VOC (open circuit voltage), example, if I had to series connect all our panels, I would sit with about 60V total. With series, you push up the volts and the amps remains the same, meaning you can increase your cable length a lot more vs that of parallel. Parallel you push up the amps again but the voltage remains the same, meaning you might need thicker diameter cable to work with, depending on the exact installation conditions. In the end, the total amount of watts or energy calculates to the exact same figure, regardless of which way route you take. (Watts = Amps x Volts formula) 🙂

@@DIESELTECH_ZA , I know my way around electrics, did my setup myself. Reason why I went parallel is purely for the more amps. In effect your battery need higher volts to charge as it charge from a high capacity to a low capacity, but it's the amps that actually does the work, if I can call it that. With two panels in series you get say 42volts at about 5amps. In parallel you get say 21volts at 10amps.. Therefore your battery will charge faster with the parallel connection, especially when your fridge is detecting the higher voltage from the solar and start to work when it might have been in idle mode due to low battery power. Second reason for me is, that when one fails, it still will charge, but only with say 5amps. Where as with series, when one fails, it fails. Only benefit I found for series is in cloudy condtition, where it will charge better as the voltage is still high enough to produce a small charge. Just my 2c.

@@louisvanderwath8536 you have the concept of it 100% there. Parallel solar panels provides ' if one fails the other carries on normally ' . The amps does all the work yes, charging & discharging etc, the higher volts just helps makes the work load easier on the cables & system. General rule is that parallel connection, the voltage stays exactly the same but the amps doubles in figures. In series the voltage doubles up and the amps stays the same. But you have it pretty much figures out. Happy off grid times mnr! 💪🤜

It's hard to make a direct comparison as we drove on different types of soft sand with the two brands of tyres. But I like the fact that you can deflate a lot more on the Radar's vs the Grabbers' without too much sidewall deformation. Meaning that there is less risk of the tyre coming off the rim's edge. Still loving the Radar's though, it's really built for more off road conditions from what I can see up until now.

Hi Johannes, we recently did a trip to the Northern Cape (will try and load the series soon) of a total of 3500km, of this at leas a 1200km were gravel roads of which a long stretch was past Kliprand to Pofadder & also the Karoo on the way back and we had no issues whatsoever (fortunately I must say). So in all honesty, I really like these tyres and would do the next set on the same brand if I could at this stage. 🙂

Getting issued with a PERMIT from SANPARKS to drive in the dedicated areas to & from angling spots at your own discretion next to the ocean does not make it 'illegal' you know. Maybe you should get out & experience the awesome outdoors & nature our country has to offer yourself from time to time, it might help you being 'more logical' about life & others around you in general you know. Appreciate what you have & truly try to make the best of your time on earth, time goes quicker than what you realize.

My First reaction was also "How is this legal????", but after a bit of research you'll quickly find more videos of other 4x4 youtubers who's been on this amazing adventure. Apparently it is legal (with permits) to drive this stretch ABOVE the high tide mark. Thanks Diesel-Tech for showing us this gem. This moved to the top of my bucket list.

@@DIESELTECH_ZA Very little damage can be done to the environment driving beneath the high water mark. Not saying it is the same for your car. Above the high water mark, the sand is more dynamic. Most of the sand here gets moved around continuously by the winds. In some places in the Jeffries Bay areas, ignorant authorities and zealous (jealous?) locals planted some dunes with Port Jackson trees to keep the hooligans in their beach buggies and XR500's out. This successfully contained the wind driven sand, leading to costly environmental and economic damage in many places.

Hi Jason, sadly no, I don't have the exact GPS co-ordinates for it. But if you look their map, they have two ' loops ' that can be driven. The first and most often used part is the loop on the left of the main dam, Eikenhof dam. The second loop towards the right / upper part of the main dam is where you will find the sign that will lead you to the waterfall. It is about 10 minutes driving time into the second loop. On my video at 16:53, it is about 5 minutes after that point that you will notice the signage board on your right hand side. You park off over there and then you take a 5 minute hike into the gorge to meet with the falls. I think I should do another video of this route, it is such a unique location & route this. Happy water fall hunting. 😎

Thank you! Update on the latest Ren Tech 750 is that they now come with a built in UPS function, in short for load shedding use, you can leave them plugged in now on both ends, whether the grid is on or off. ;)

Hi there, you are most welcome to look at the specs on each product on our online store, the new Ten Tech 750's allows for through charging on the 220V side with its buitl in UPS function. Max solar charge on the Ren Tech 750 is only 125W, on the Flexopower 555 you can use up to 260W Flexopower solar blanket. (11V to 27V range on the latest models) For load shedding use at home as primary use I would recommend the Ren Tech 750, the Flexopower 555 for camping as primary use and vice versa.

Hi Christine, if your vehicle is not 4x4 on its drivetrain with a differential lock function it will not be able to engage in that terrain. You would require more than average ground clearance as well. (Non 4x4 vehicles) That sand gets extremely soft in summer and guys with proper 4x4 vehicles struggle at times to make their way over the dunes.

Hi Ronald. For camping as primary use, the Flexopower 555 as it has kick ass solar input specs vs the Ren Tech 750. For load shedding use as primary use I would recommend the Ren Tech 750 again, it has a massive size battery and the latest models come with a built in UPS function, which means you can leave it plugged in while in use without burning down battery cycles for nothing. Both units are greatly priced for what you get compared to the Jackery units as an example. So depending on your final user goal for it, that is how I would list them. (We currently have stock of both.)

Hi Yanan, unfortunately I did not record the dimensions of the bushes. I bought the Old Man Emu bush kit from a local 4x4 shop and fitted those. Best advise I have is to provide the shop / supplier with your vehicle year model & details and work from there. Good luck sir.
