Some clarifications on these: Saying this now so I don't repeat it a bunch, the Supporter rule changed with the release of Sword and Shield. Before then, you were allowed to play a Supporter card going first. For many of the Supporters on the list that are banned that seem like they wouldn't be a problem today, think about them as if you were allowed to play them before your opponent took a turn. Archeops and Maxie's are both banned because they just have too many other interactions. Maxie's isn't the only way to quickly get out Archeops (see: Wally, Plume Fossil, TM Evo), and Archeops isn't the only really powerful target for Maxie's as you mention. This is why Maxie's is banned in expanded and Archie's Ace in the Hole (arguably a better card since Water in general is a stronger type) is still legal, because none of the water cards you can cheat out lock your opponent from playing the game the way these fossil pokemon do. Pokemon leans away from lock strategies, which is why the arguably worse Maxie's is banned while Archie's is legal. Forest of Giant Plants wasn't banned because of Vileplume/item lock (with the proof being that it wasn't banned in standard ever where this combo was legal). It was banned because of Giant Fan Shiftry from B&W Next Destinies. Forest allows you to evolve into Shiftry immediately on the first turn going first, then return it back to your hand with Scoop Up Net or any other similar cards (AZ, Scoop Up Cyclone, etc.) and blow away your opponent's entire field on the first turn going first. This combo is still legal in Unlimited and is one of the most powerful decks in the most broken format the game has. The original Slowking was banned because it was a mistranslation. In Japan, Slowking only worked in the active spot (as it was intended), but when they translated the card, for some reason they left out the "if this is your active Pokemon" clause. It saw very little play in Japan because it wasn't good, and this error made it arguably the strongest Pokemon ever printed in English.

Hear me out: mamoswine pidgeot garganacl (attach from discard + heal) and evo powder vivillon with the line that lets you evolve it turn 1 and maaaybe grand tree, sounds bricky but im crazy enough to test it

Might add a few budew to my venamoth/frosass deck. Seems like the best move paired with neutralization zone and might even add a gastrodon too

Amarys might be good, if you *only* want to discard, because research only is a better option if you already have 6 or more cards on hand. Amarys is a bit of a gamble, but might be a decent one of.

new hoot hoot is still very playable, you search for it with fan rotom anyways (you poffin for pidgey + rotom). the new noivern may not see play, but the noibat may. Its a colorless, searchable with rotom and can accelerate energy with glass trumpet to quickly hit with the dragon type noivern. I saw a espeon noivern list that makes so much sense. both can be accelerated with trumpet, share psychic and dark energy, and synergize by blocking basic pokemon damage and shuffling evolutions

Nah dog you got it all wrong about control chief. The main reason people dont play control is not because its hard to play as you say. That is because this deck is very inconsistent and also its not focus on one thing, its just a bunch of rice and coconuts mixed up that you just cant understand. I am a control enjoyer myself but I see why people dont like it. Bro you cant rely to set up this deck consistently. And you usually lose cuz you couldn't set up. Its so inconsistent because you have so many different ingredients and they all dont support each other. Its just a bunch of loose sheeps running around without a man. This deck has no good combination of cards thats why it doesnt win consistently.

I get Dark Patch will be replaced with Energy Switch after rotation, but it's not as consistent as using Pokestop to get up to 3 Dark Patches, so I sold my Roaring Moon ex deck. I have a post rotation deck in mind, but I refuse to share it because people are so delusional to steal ideas and claim them as their own. I will be kind and share that Gapejaw Bog will be replaced with Calamitous Snowy Mountains.

I’ve been having some damn good luck with hydreigon at locals. Discard 3, xerosic, misfortune sisters, and toedscruel make it difficult for your opponent to manage resources. It will get better when budew becomes legal.

Wow, didn't know there were official bans for Pokemon TCG, as a big VGC player, i know some broken shit on that side and..never got banned. But seeing how Dusclops/noir is so fcking toxic, i'm hopeful one day they'll remove it, such a ridicoulous card to exist, especially when it's in a zard deck.

I'm not surprised that Gholdengo is falling out of the meta a bit. I enjoy Gholdengo, but as I've played it more and more, the games with the deck can be very frustrating at times. It doesn't help that if your Energy Search Pro is prized, you basically just lose on the spot unless you get incredibly lucky.
