Toedscruel was without a doubt the MVP card of the weekend and i did get a lot of wins because of it People even had to read it 3 times and STILL use cards that it stops which was the funniest thing that happened
Don’t really find it too valuable the ex, you already slow Regidrago down enough that it’s hard for them to get turn 2 attack off But can always experiment with it🙂
Miraidon doesn't have surprise factor anymore, and a lot of the lists brought to this event were netdecks. People know to watch out for Raikou V by not over-benching, how to play around Iron Bundle, how to play around Iron Hands ex, and they keep in mind Raichu V + Magneton jump scare. It's too predictable. I think the deck can bounce back if it innovates. I've seen people experimenting with hand control builds using Judge, Iono, and Luxray V. Might be worth moving away from Area Zero builds if it's just feeding Klawf. Options like Temple of Sinnoh + hand control might flip the match up. More Bravery Charms for Zard. Deck has hella options.
Miraidon has always been good, it just took a back seat when Flaaffy fell out of rotation, but it's better now with Magneton and Area Zero. Another factor was the amount of Zard decks in this tournament, which is in fact, a bad match up for Miraidon.
@felipetomaz1087 Klawf maybe, but I still haven't lost against a Terapagos deck. All I do is Boss up the Noctowls and Amp them with Iron Hands, then game over. They usually concede by the second Noctowl 😂
Hey, why hasn't anyone built a Palisand ex and Hydreigon ex deck yet. We can use Crispin to set both of them up quickly. Colorless's tenacity and the special energy Luminous energy can also help with that. Counter gain for Hydra because we will definitely be behind prizes. Our opponent will always have 6 prize worth of cards on board. We go Pallisand first then switch into Hydreigon ex. We should also run energy switches for easier acceleration and a scramble switch(maybe). We might have a 6 prize turn. If not, Hydreigon getting just one other turn should be game. I think Manify will be a problem so we could run an easy to charge 1 prizer to snipe Manify. Run a lot of gust to take out stuff like Manify or just to stall, Lisia's Appeal will come in handy as extra gust and Manify handler. The rest should be disruption and mill cards that Hydreigon currently runs. Because milling your opponent and slowing them down will be important. If we can just set up Palisand and Hydreigon fast it should be an easy win. Also, does Manify block Dusknoir? I don't think so, right? It's the effect of an ability, not an attack. So that might come in handy. I don't have enough credits to test it out. Hoping some of you can, or that the creators will notice. If you do, plz let me know if there's a consistent way to make it work and make it competitive.
I don't think Palossand's attacks are very good. There are ways to make Barite Jail less effective. For example: you can wait before putting down a Pokémon (attackers like Raging Bolt, Chien-Pao or Roaring Moon can be played after Barite Jail and attack the same turn). You can wait with tools like Bravery Charm and you can wait with evolving Pokémon. You're using a turn to set-up a play before knocking out a Pokémon. One turn is sometimes enough for your opponent to get too far ahead, your also giving them time to remove Pokémon from play or heal them. Besides Manaphy Tera Pokémon are also a huge problem for this strategy. Another issue are effects that block effects from attacks. Like Lugia's Mist Energy or Toedscruel's ability. Less common but still. I dunno, I think there's better ways to try and board wipe. Hydreigon is fine without Palossand I think.
I have never seen so much miraidon hate in a one tournament

Is the ex one great as well? Saw it as the main damage dealer in the Eggxecutor centered deck.

I don't think the surprise factor does much tbh miraidon has always been good and now it's just simply better

Klawfs, terapagos and zards 💀@@RagingTruenoX
I play a 1-1 zeraora vstar and hawlucha to fix math and board wipe single prize basics or snipe a 240 basic getting something un the active stuck
