I've had very good luck with Scovillain here lately. Easy to get out fast since it's only one stage. I use just the leaf version with the smash ability for 140. You can one hit all the Moon cards plus Mill their hand and their deck
It's a strong but boring deck. It feels too straightforward to me. I mean that's fine. But Raging bolt is straightforward too, while also being fun. Zard just doesn't feel like that. Plus people see so much Charizard that they have gotten used to it and expect that they would have to play around it. So people have been trying to get creative in recent tournaments.

Zard just doesn't do much against the current meta cause people just know how to work around it. Or just one shot it.

The scovillian deck was quite fun to play actually, but you should totally review the top 4 kingdra deck from japan i need me some kingdra love
