Well I dont fully agree, the GY is just the hand for nearly every deck: meta, high tier or rouge - and for all of these decks Shifter is an "instant win". A floodgate that as you said can nearly never be stopped - as such it creates non games - which should be avoided. The GY also is not a "bad" thing, just like summoning from hand, deck or banished - it fully depends on what comes out of it. E.g. Beatrice and Gryphon, and for the other "places" there is Elpy or Halq - its just how easy and how bad is - what is being done. So GY hate is like extra deck hate - sure some decks dont need it - but most do, its an integral aspect of the game now. Just like how idk DBarrier might have been fine 15~ years ago when 1. one turn wasnt that important and 2. you could play without your extra deck... (for a turn) - but now a turn skip is just too much. About the trade with AriseHeart - yeah maybe, but then we need to look at the other kash cards, full power Kash is not something good for the game; since its a stun deck by designe, something that can exist for sure - but should not be to high in the meta tiers... (same reason konami lets ice barrier, Dark Law, or even the more "recent cards" like Sanct or Calamity roam around, since the rest of the deck is "not that good"). It’s just a shame every deck is so reliant on the graveyard which shouldn’t be the case… some decks just straight abuse the graveyard and it don’t matter what hand traps or board breakers you have they will just FTK you or turn skip you! I would say it’s too much to ban all those cards that setup these crazy graveyard reliant FTKs so it’s easier to have cards like Shifter and Arise-heart to force people to play the out for those cards and have less consistent decks in the process…

@@Linkingx2 as far as Kashtira I would say ban Shifter and pot of prosperity, because Tempai and so many other decks are abusing those 2 cards as well, and then Birth to 1 and Arise-heart to one… then we only got one card in the format to keep graveyard decks on their toes and it only works in pure Kashtira

@@HouseStarkTCG the issue is this just feels like cold war level approach; "some decks do too much in the GY (or in generell) and thats why we need floodgates" As you said Shifter is not only there for the weak decks but also for the literal 2. best deck right now (as well as Ritual Beasts depending where you rank them) So in my mind sure the power levels of SE especially - needs to be looked at - but overall if we make more decks playable in turn 0 - then we get more interaction and cards like shifter or "3 Hantrap Hands" arent needed anymore. For me idk really care if the enemy abused the GY or what not - I couldnt care less, where the cards come from; what matters is, can I interact with them doing so and what is their endboard; So decks like Gimick Puppet or Tenpai with their "shield Field spell" are bad regardless if they use the GY Extra or what not - since we dont play the game, we dont interact. And then FKT enboards - which sure sometimes your hand sucks and even an okay field is too much for you to play through - and then the next question is what interactions does the deck have - Yubel for example (not FS) has "max 2 negates" which is doable and then they have pops and S:P sure very strong but it feels doable. While idk Drytron back then or idk SE earlier theis year - with their locks or multiple omnis are just not great. So I like Konami giving more decks pops and less negates. Regardless coming back to the original point - FTK enboards or FTK handtraps - both are bad and shouldnt exist, also ones existence is not a justification for the other to exits - since in the end they are both the same and oneself with suffer either way. Well thats a text wall... now about Kash - I think just limiting birth wouldnt be enough since that card is still rather easy to get to - with 3 Wraithsoth, 3 unicorns etc. there needs to be more - like in MD for example... but well I doubt Konami will do anything in that direction soon. They really hate unbanning cards for some reason (the reason is money)...

Well 1. space and 2. I dont like them that much... I think if you cut the Runicks then you could add them , but then you need to play a non optimal amount of either Handtraps or Bordbreakers; The bigger focus is on the new frog + ice barrier option to make Toad faster and easier, which I value quite a lot. Fure Hire is still a popular and good option for quite some reasons...

You are 100% correct; For the Sheiren effect I just put it all into one big mill to make it a bit easier to follow and faster - but yes it is one effect and then other actions would follow. About the Beast Sulliek and Trivikarma play you are also correct - I also know that, but well sometimes I fk up - like I also fked up how to resolve a chain... yeah recording, explaining at 3am is maybe not the best move on my end. Hi, so about Nightmare Pain, you can "activate" as many as you want BUT the effect to pop and search is hard once per turn, but you can activate / face up set - multiple if I understand the card correctly; since the EFFECT has the once per turn, but it says nothing about the activation of the card. The mentioned extra deck cards - especially anguish and Accescode, are good pick ups for dmg - 100%. But in my list due to super poly I didnt have the space for it - and if you play fiendsmith you wont have the space as well. Yubel can already do some dmg, and if you have total control over the field, either your opponent gives up or if need be you just wait one more turn to attack with your weaker monsters. Its more important to have the combo and utility pieces - rather then cards that are mostly used for their ATK value. But again, if you dont play Super Poly or FS - you should have the space for them :) About Hamon, honestly I dont think thats any good tbh. since its directly conflicting with your Nightmare Pain and the idea of "reflect dmg" - sure you cant be attacked if you have a Yubel, Nightmare Pain and Hamon (in def) on field - but you want to be attacked xD Its the same with Avramax for example... also you need to run more bricks in the deck, which already has "some". Its cute and you could maybe go for a "fun" deck with the Sacret Beasts and Yubel but it would not be "better". Also actually summoning Hamon would cost you your spells or you run dark summoning beast and use the extra normal for that etc. Thanks for your comment and if you have further questions ask away I will try to answer :) Have a nice day and good luck with your duels!

Well, it depends; if you activate the card - so just face up set - not activating the effect - just the cards, as a continuous spell card. They cant Ash it yet, since the card has no effect on activation; But if they idk MST or just destroy the card BEFORE you activate the search effect, then you could use the other one in hand like you mentioned. So yeah sadly it doesnt work like you hope - if the Ash or Ogre it - it means you have used the effect, otherwise they cant even use these two handtraps. (remember since its a continuous spell - ogre actually """negates""" it, since if I remember correctly fieldspell and continuous spells need to be on the field for their effects to resolve) Well hope that helps and, hope I have that all correct, but at least the first part, I am confident in, if you just activate it in the SpellTrap zone you dont use the effect, so it """cant""" be negated in the classic sense, there are always exceptions in yugioh, but if they negate the search, then you cant use the other copy in hand, since its a hard once per turn on that part of Nightmare Pain.

Thanks m8 - I am planing on recording a test hand video very soon - sample combos is a bit hard with the deck, since you have to come up with your combos on the fly; it makes the deck harder to pick up and master but for me the fact that "every" duel can be so different is a big part that makes Tear so much fun. @@linkingxyugioh yes that would be brilliant! I understand that Tearlaments doesn’t have any straightforward combo lines; however, I am sure there are a few standard plays you would do if you saw a certain card. For example, how you would use the Malicious or any of the Danger! Cards.

I can look into test hands, it'll take a moment tho - but Ill see if I can find time the next days :) The Playmat is custom made using "my art" that you can find and use here: x.com/Linkingx21/status/1698092319298261429 and printing it from one of these custom playmat sides (this worked well for me custom-playmat.shop) The sleeves are from the OCG - you can find people selling this on Ebay or on special yugioh online stores like holoncardshop if you are in EU/Ger; they are rather expensive in comparison to normal sleeves - so if you go for them, get some clear Dragonshields in 66*92, I think, to protect the precious and expensive Tear sleeve. Well, I think Tearlightsworn is more fun and when it gets going it can create stronger endboards more easily - since they get more bodies on the bord, have a mill 8 + search line, and you can get to Dragite; But the big issue is the bricks - the Wulf and the Felis mostly bricking your hand - not so that the hands get unplayable - that very very rarely happend to me; but to the extend that vs one interruption you can be fked. So the deck is very explosive and its endboards are FKts: I mean Spell trap negate from Dragite, Omni from Toad, 3mat Apo, IP into SP - Kaleido, planet and Suliek with potential shufflers in the grave... like thats gg - BUT getting there vs this hand trap meta can be rather rough; In comparison the more pure - or Tear with just Horus and some small add-ons, like I showed in this video - can have rather similar boards in the best cases, but has more consistency to get somewhere positive - playing fenrir and talents or black goat - just helps with going second as well with which most lightsworn lists could struggle; (since lightsworn tear with 40 cards will be hard to build) So if your opponent plays handtraps right now "pure" Tear is better - but if they let you cook and hope to break your board then Lightsworn tear, maybe with a less greedy build, can be better - but again "better" in yugioh is often not the quality of enboard, but the resilience and consistency of a deck - which again I think pure has the edge due to playing "more better" cards - less old school Lightsworns, have more extra deck space since they run no synchros etc. Hope that was somewhat comprehensive and we can all agree to unban kitkalos ^^

Well the difference to Branded Fusion is that Ostinato is splashable since it comes with no restrictions - for example: Voiceless and Snake Eye have been using the engine for their evil plays... and since Konami is in love with the Cringe Fire Deck - at the time I was worried that they might limit the card (also logic is not always konamis thing) And sure Branded Fusion was used in other decks during its earlier days, but again more limited; Sure Melodious is falling out of favor again, especially now since SE wont be hit for a while - they still have like 8 tops in recent weeks (tops in like top 32/64)

Nah, also ich würd die vielleicht grade so in nem Shark deck spielen - aber wenn wir hier grade über das gleiche sprechen: xyz Armor Fortress search Full Armored XZY; dann würd ich davon abraten; 1. machen wir Bahamut gar nicht so oft, das es sich lohnt für den Fall n weiteres Extra Deck Monster zu Spielen - und zu dem machen Falle und Monster nix. Eine xyz Beschwörung im Gegnerischen zu brauchen wir nicht, und können wir sehr oft auch nicht machen - da wir ne weile brauchen um mehrere Monster aufs Feld zu bekommen, die oft nicht mal die gleichen Level hätten. Und der GY Effect ist auch nicht so gut - das wäre vor 10 Jahren wo XYZ "Neue" waren nicht schlecht gewesen, aber auch dann mehr in pure Sharks. ​@@s.p.963 Ja, dann spielen wir aber dann noch einen Toad, sind wir bei einem brick mehr im Main und 2 Extra Karten im Extra - alles für eine recht situations abhängige combo, da wir dafür: 2 lvl 4 -> Bahamut und nochmal 2 lvl 2/4 brauchen und sicher die Aktivierung der Falle ist KANN ein paleo im GY triggern, muss aber nicht. Hoffe das kommt nicht so negativ an - vielleicht grad nicht die besten Worte am wählen um 00 Uhr sorry dafür m8.

sorry it seems my comment was deleted by youtube :/ Both are from the OCG so you can look at Ebay or at some yugioh online stores like HolonCardShop (Ger/EU) that import OCG sleeves. They are amazing, but can be rather expensive in comparison to regular sleeves; if you get them id highly advise you to buy clear dragon shields as "oversleeves" since you want to keep the expensive sleeve protected and save. well that would depend on what event you got to - for locals youd side for what you know your "buddies" play... but for bigger events or lets say in generell; there are a few options and its on you I guess to gauge how key it is. I think the deck can handle a lot of things but is obviously more focused on going 1st with this list. So an example side deck is now looking mostly at going second or at dealing with annoying match ups: Sprind and Scattershot (for time) Heartbeat and Cryme 1x Talent 3x Thrust 1x Dimensional Barrier 1x Evenly Matched 1x Underworld Goddess of the Closed World 1x Garura, Wings of Resonant Life 3x Super Poly Probably missing something, as I dont have a side deck right now (not planing to go to any event atm); and remember if your locals has Floo or banish mfkers - to put in Zombie World and Banshee, or anti Shifter Tools...

Thanks for the insights m8 - I will have to do some research on the Beatrice stuff you mentioned - was not aware she holds such powers OO - sounds good, but still my issues stand with her; but again will have to educate myself more it seems. Yes - Super Poly and Talents would be in the side for this, in main probably not bad tbh. - what do you mean with "increase lightsworn and horus engine"? So playing more sarcs or more horus names? - or more Dragonlings, wulfs etc.? Not sure how that would decrease the brick rate - but I probably misunderstand you here. But sure the idee I get, theres a reason I play 49 (previously went up to ~55 while testing) - so many bricks, and we play hand cleaners but its just not amazing; I hope to hear what you mean, and then I gladly look at it on paper and the math behind it :) And yeah sure thats the only good thing that came from the banlist hits - with less Tear cards we now have near unlimited options to pair up with our girls - and the creativity of desperate yugioh players knows no bounds :) Best of luck with your mills!!

I played with that for a long time, and there are a few issues I ran into: 1. its a lvl 3 not a lvl 4, which matters for Bahamut mainly but also for Redoer - it doesnt always come up but often enough. (Either normal summon or bringing him back with Cross Sheep or Zombie Vampire.) 2. Guardian Chimera is pretty good, but I never really loved it in Tear as you "need" poly and secondly, right now vs Snake eye I am not loving it from a going second perspective either. 3. Playing Poly is just not good - its a bad mill, sure you can double fuse with it; as poly triggers tear names if I am not mistaken; but often its just stuck in hand with no good purpose. On my journey towards beastking - I first cut Chimera, then went from 3 to 2 King of the swamps, then cut poly (so they in hand effect doesnt even work) and then swapped. I know paying like 5€ or more for just the same card as a lvl 4 is not sexy so I can 100% understand that - but I think if money is not an issue - Beast king is just clearly better. As his advantage is meaningful and King of the Swamps Guardian Chimera and Poly have ups and downs... When i play tear i agree the poly is a bad mill but alot of thew time it helped me unbrick my hand and going second gave me draws and a pop they had to deal with. the points about bahamut shark and redoer are completely valid tho so i think the trade off makes sense. thank you for the help keep up the great work with tears

Your welcome love to talk tear - just try it out online and see if it fits your tear playstyle, then you can always buy it. Some are coping for a reprint, but idk about that could be in the next ots pack - but its just a rumor I heard online so idk.

yeah tear back then was the most fun - altho due to the limits we have space in the deck to experiment now. Lightsworn stuff is not that expensive I think - and Horus should get reprinted in the tins - altho Age Of Overlord is the biggest question mark, as a set... I personally hope for high rarity Tear reprints - Secret rare Girls + Ultra or at least super rare spells & traps - would be amazing.

Thanks for sharing m8 - MD Bo1 format really is special and inherently different from TCG - in Masterduell in my mind - all* decks need to be like Tear for example - if both players can play on both turns its less boring* and less coinflip dependent - sure you could go the konami way - and try to buff going 2. and nerf going 1. which has some merit - but its just futile. Now the biggest/most common Omnis were banned to nerf going 1. (I get to SE) and boardbreakers will be insane - but that is also not really fun gameing now is it? For Pure SE these hits are hard, as you said in MD - where there is no Fire King - that would be a good direct hit - but in the TCG? Sure there are all kinds of SE decks that still made these omnis - but tbh. are the omnis what makes SE super strong? And does SE need the omnis to be good/best? No. And now, these are generic endbosses - there are, as you said all kinds of generic cards - that are NEEDED for many many decks to even function. Looking at tear we have 9 main monsters left + 2 ishizus... in MD the spells and traps are also hit. We cant put together a 40 card list without supporting components... Or lets look at Synchro decks now - not every Type has some in archetype boss monsters that can perform in the modern game... This just feels akin to other bans in the past - like Halq - sure OP as fk - and the best deck broke the game with him - for rouge decks he was everything tho. And sure the best* option would be to do it your way - to ban all generic cards and give every deck their own unique strong cards - but thats just not realistic AND honestly not great. Generic cards are key for the yugioh product - if you open packs and all the cards are just usable in archetype - then if you dont care for said archetype you wont buy the product - thats already a big issue with Sets like the legendary duelist serie - so to get people to buy them - they put in generic powerful cards. Like a droplet here or a Baronne there... For that and personally for creativity we need generic cards - altho your idea is the right direction - decks should not look to turbo out generic boss monsters, but rather have them as options -> endboards should be filled by unique monsters and complemented by generic ones. Still with all this "dreaming" out of the way - this banlist is just not it... the best SE version gets away nearly unscrathed and rouge decks in shambles while we trade trap floodgates for monster ones. Instead of forbidding them to play - allow them to play with the cards they own." im agree with bringing old decks back but thats certainly not the way they want to handle ygo. they IMO dont care about balancing they only care about selling stuff. so basicly a deck releases is completly overpowered (so every1 gets it) (they make sure its overpowered with bannlist) then next good deck will be released and first one get nerfed to a unplayable state to make sure new deck performs well. thats the ideologie behind konami so why we dont cut the cheese and going all in on the bans they will do it anyway. and my hits are well thought. 2x flameberge ie open so much possiblitys to cut them down a 1 to flameberge is needed, ash, dia, wanted, bonfire all been 1 card starters for full board so to hit them is nessasary specially dia engine because they dont require a normal summon and 1 dia 2 wanted is fair because even if u draw dia u can discard wanted as cost and it isnt a fully useless card in hand plus u can recover ur dia w ether her own effect or w the other wanted i think decks needed to be hit mainly on engine i agree w that on konami but where i dont agree is by destroying a engine like they do it in MD w lot of decks ie tears

Sounds good, till one realizes many weaker / older decks need these cards - and without omnis board breakers will feel even more game warping... I throw in another meme - A soul for a soul...

I found them on ebay - they are from the OCG - more specific from a YCS in Osaka from 2022... they are very expensive to get so to protect them I have them sleeved up with clear Dragonshields... if you are lucky and find some id highly recommend they look amazing on cam and IRL (if you are really lucky you can find the bundle of sleeves, the playmat from this video, and the jp Secret Rare Metanoise all in one) best of luck :)

Hey thanks for the comment - yeah the Nadir package is fun - just like the Tourguide - I think both will likely go in a few weeks - but till then I enjoyed the option and it might find some use in other decks; You are obviously right about Tour being supar - its not the best normal summon and only* benefits the unchained part which I play only a small part of to beginn with; clearly over cooked but hey had a QCR wanted to try it :7 Happy to hear that my Pain / Spirit reasoning was sound - hope that works well for you as well! No worries - and sure Visas Tear might not be the best way - but its a fun alternative as we are waiting for kit to comeback and the new "support" in 3* weeks. For Visas Tear one has to keep in mind that most other Visas Archetypes are only effective in hand (one card combos etc.) while Tear cards want to mill - so your visas cards either need to be good alone or enable mills. Its just not that amazing right now, sadly...

@@linkingxyugioh Yep... I really think they messed up with visas seriously, when you see albaz cards coming altogether as a perfectly balanced 60 cards deck it's pretty frustrating. They tried to make some interactions between the archetypes but it feels like they gave up at some point, + the last support cards apart from amritara and triloksuda SUCK, like the design is awful you Can see they didn't want to print good cards

I mean with visas they made multiple unique decks not one big pile, its just a different take - they tried to connect the archetypes directly with the "kash fusions" -> Tear Kash or Scare Kash - but they arent really enough to connect the decks; Altho there are options - Tear with some kash can be fun, and Mannadium with Scareclaw is a thing. But in the end you are right there is no one connected strategy - Visas himself is also just not good enough. And looking at konamis actions - I think they have kinda given up on Visas lore as they are just focusing on Albaz now. Maybe cause Tear and Kash were too much? Well we can only hope for a brighter future!

Kit is already back in our hearts... but tbh. I dont think we will get her back for a while now.... it would be based and okay to do so - we have lost all millers... and it would make for an interesting format: Water vs Fire. But I have heard rumors of them wanting to release more Umi? or Atlantis? based Cards to fight the Fire Kings - but not sure how true or when this will be. Maybe then we get like Umi Tear? idk as we are Dark Aqua and not a classic Water Deck. And the Support - I am talking about Lightsworn Tear - we can mill our entire deck with that, well soon; as the new support enables us to use all kinds of light sworn cards of old and new. And since that will give us insane mill power - idk if we "need" kit from Konamis POV - not to mention that they at least in the OCG Konami base, seemingly hate Tear (just look at their limits etc.). So TLDR. Kit will have to wait probably - but Konami is silly they do what ever; and Lightsworn support is Tear support we will be Milling not matter what!

He is a really nasty fellow - they can still use them at times but not as easily - and vs other decks they often will just cry :7

Visas Samsara is kinda iffy, there is a full combo of just normal summon Samsara thats kinda kay - but requires you to play a less flexible extra deck - I might show it off sometime... But the big issue is that we cant get into cards like Amritara with him and as such he so far only fits into a designated strat. Sure he works somewhat with visas but I would only ever play 1 Visas right now - since you dont want to see him often - and then playing Smsara to profit of the one visas... nah its just not all coming together - which is very sad tbh. I am thinking of doing some test hands for this Tearlist - maybe Ill show of the Samsara line if I think it fits into the video - anyway if you have more questions or if I missed something let me know - and take care m8!

I just watched thanks for the update. Side question: I cant afford S:P, do you think Scareclaw Tri-Heart will be good to replace her?

@@juandemata8292 S:P is a damn expensive you are right about that... Tri Heart is sadly not the best option - for a few reasons from needing 3 monsters instead of 2 or the effect of reviving a lvl 3 Scareclaw (we only have a lvl 4); sure its a potential disruption but the protection effect is also just kinda iffy vs snake eye for example. Instead you could look at other options like: Unicorn for disruption - Avermax for similar dmg potential or maybe even Sprind - to fuse... assuming we are going for I:P into x. S:P is bonkers you can IP -> SP for double effectiveness or just make her if you dont have 3 material... hard to mimic that exactly but we did cool thinks before her so while it doesnt look as flashy as banishing stuff I:P Unicorn were always good friends and Sending Merrli to make anything from Lulu Kalaido to Drago might be nice. You could also just remove the IP SP thing at all - just make Appo if you can and look for more fusion options (if you are siding Super Poly).
