Ah damn you are right - Arb is actually a way better call anyway - getting the protection and potentially the set up for the next turn - glad you liked it anyway :)
I also think the Diviner Line isnt good. Cost normal and if u get an negate on him or the search, u are screwed. My recommendation is Super Poly, or Pankratops (get rid of things like anti-spell or skill drain).
If you equip axe of the fool don’t you negate your own braver dragon, making the combo not work? Bravers effect 1: if the is card is is special summoned you can equip 3 equip spells from deck or gy to it. Effect 2: (quick effect) you can send one equip spell to change one monsters battle position or negate effect. Using effect one will slap axe on him negating his effect and stopping you from sending Mikanko dance to gy, and using him as a negate for your opponents turn. Also side note wouldn’t Double Edge sword be a better option as it can be sent to the graveyard for negate and reequip to opponents monster with Ohime. As long as the monster equipped is in ATK mode, and has at least 2000 atk if a Mikanko monster crashes into it your opponent takes 4000, then mikanko’s reflect the additional battle damage from double edge to add on another 4000 for an OTK line. You don’t need to use double edge sword and I’m sure there’s plenty of other plays but Axe of Fools stops your combo
Hey, so I am no judge and I assumed that as well - but I was told by the all knowing youtube comments - that in fact you can send the axe as cost to activate the effect of braver dragon, as such it can negate the effect activation... I have not asked a judge or tested it online or so... But I think I saw a few people do it on yt as well...but yeah i fked up I would need to send axe then first and then Mayowashidori... which as you said stops my combo... DES is a neat item for cheesy surprise wins and can absolutely grant you some free wins - but I think its just a win more card - it doesnt help you set up anything etc. just like the Axe or Metalsilver; the non Mikanko equips are good but can be harder bricks then your Themed Equips - so I want to minimize the number of them; DES can be searched with Rivalry and Braver sure but you then you also need to get it into grave then get Ohime - and even getting to braver is not a 100% as it requiers Diviner - and with the Trap you might want to grab something with more impact in your opponents turn. Hope that helped :) take care m8
@@linkingxyugiohah sending as cost for activation does make sense which would allow it to go through but as you pointed out that would mean axe would be the first that needs to go which leaves you to end turn on 1 negate and no mikanko for the rivalry
@@legendarykanine238 Yeah... as I said I still blundered; Should have gone for Mayo and Arb there - Arb to protect the Braver and maybe have a play for the next turn; and Mayo for the combo - but hey learning by doing I guess :)
@linkingxyugioh @legendarykanine238 Guess i am a bit late to the Party but the combo you showed in your video works fine. Activating powertools effect sends mayo to the grave for cost (just like you would do it with axe of fools in your oppenents Turn to actually use its effect) - powertools effect does not resolve due to the fact he is equipped with axe but it doesnt matter coz the only thing you care about here is mayo beeing in your gy
I have seen builds along those lines, with more warriors - and I think thats fine and all - might actually be even better* soon with the new Support; but personally I just prefer the pure build and the versatility it brings :) Hope you have more successes with it!
I mean i play it pure with 3 connector 1 dolphin to get rid of droll and stuff since especially droll hurts. Also having the info what their hand is makes two monster steals even more broken. And then you play charmers of all kinds selen accesscode and go for game
hello just a question and I hope the answer is Yes. is playing mikanko like this better than playing it in libromancer? don't like that variant it seems a bit boring
Hey, so Libromancer is fine - and well it can be better not sure how the deck is currently doing with the new support; But I think it has a bit tougher time vs Kash right now - not to mention that it is more combo reliant so more chances to get handtrapped or to fk up yourself. With that they usually come up with bigger boards then the pure Mikankos - but also with Pure you have more space in your deck which makes siding easier and "more effective" or as I showed in this video you can just run a bunch of power cards to increase your consistency. With Libromancer at least compared to the "warrior" Mikanko version you are running less bricks in your deck but Mikanko already can have some issues with that - as we play a bunch of equips wich dont do anything with out a monster etc. While I have not played the Libro version I can at least say this one here is not boring - but I guess people have different views when it comes to whats fun... maybe just test it online before you buy the cards; regardless hope I could help a bit, take care m8!
As someone who has watched his previous Mikanko build and now this one and also I play the Mikankomancer build. I think this build is more consistent and gets to the plays you want more efficiently. I think the Libro build has more firepower and explosivity but with a chance to brick a little harder. The pure build is also just about benefiting and helping itself and it's boards and having a more control-type approach to your duels. Not to say pure Mikanko can't pop off, because it can and when it does, you are going to be struggling to break that board. I think the best thing you can try is each build if you have the funds or the cards already. It's not expensive and it's super fun to play. I am trying pure Mikanko this week at locals and my locals is pretty competitive but I just go to have fun nowadays and try new decks against some of the Tier 1 meta decks.
@@TheJVG Thank you for the additional insights - and Id like to add the little fact that pure Mikanko can run cards like the Pots or Ultimate slay with next to no concern as they dont use 99% of their extra deck - were as LibroKanko wants / needs them way more frequently. Also best of luck at locals m8 ^^
great to see an update here! please note that fire dance can’t be equipped to braver (arabesque is a target that can)! cool work tho :)

Does anyone consider running a bamboo sword package with this deck? Seems easy to get too, and then just 3 Goldens for tons of draws.

@@linkingxyugioh appreciate you buddy. Trying it with a copy each of Infernoble Renaud and Roland and an Immortal Gearfried.
The pure deck, as a going first control build is definetly better than libromancer. You just have to see how ocg's doing with them.
