Question. What settings are you using in this video ?
the only wide angle lens that you can attach a ND filter
Be Excellent!🤘
Was on the fence, and u just pushed me over it mate
They're on a huge sale right now as well! amzn.to/4eRAtT4
Thanks for providing a helpful review.
Thank you! I really appreciate your support! 🙏
Great video and really nice filter 👍🏼 I bought the cheaper alternative from K&F but it’s not arrived yet, because Prism Lens FX don’t sell them in Europe so with buying it in the US it comes with a lot more costs shipping and tax. Does the filter works better with a lot of background light sources ? I think it does.. Grtzz
Thanks of checking out the video! I think the filter works much better when there's just more happening in the seen, and light certainly plays a huge part in that. You can get some pretty unique shots in any scenario, but it comes alive with a light source!
Can you listen to music while recording a video on them ?
You can take a photo while listening to music but if you start a video recording, the music will pause until the recording has finished.
Just ordered mine. Used your link. Hope it worked 😁
@@jstudiopro1 thank you, I really appreciate that!
I definitely like it better than the DJI mic in hand. It sounded fuller. DJI even after close proximity didn't sound as fuller.
@@jstudiopro1 after recording this video, I agree! I actually kind of like holding it as a proper mic like this.
Please go full call center lol I have a VideoMic Go II and chose that because it doesn't require charging or batteries like some other shotgun mics do. Using the DJI Mic kit (I have two sets of them) requires charging, so I mainly use it for planned/scripted videos and have the shotgun on camera as a nice microphone that can live on the camera without needing to charge it. That seems like the only downside of trying to use the MV-M101 as a low-profile shotgun. It didn't sound terrible, but it definitely sounds better with proximity to the source.
@@Nathan_Lundstrom I likely won’t be using it as a shotgun mic, but it’s nice to know that’s an option if necessary! Also, call center style actually sounded the best 😂
@ pull out the Movo when at the gym trying to be like Sam Sulek 😂
THE GOOSE IS ON THE LOOSE!
@@Haznogunz 🪿🪿🪿
Just bought one a month ago! Nice little backup mic! Movo sounded a little better to me but it’s close in proximity!
It's such a strange little mic. Did you know it came out in 2017?!
What did you use to process the audio? Also I mainly do talking head videos with me and a guest about 5 feet away from the camera. What would you suggest?
I just used the voice isolation and compressor inside of Final Cut Pro to process the audio.
This is what i needed to hear. Only youtuber that stated that. I was in two minds whether to buy them.. but tbh i really dont need them. Im just a a pick up and shoot a video guy. I aint tryna make a movie lol
@@SkippaG exactly! This camera is incredibly capable of capturing pro video with filters, but they are unnecessary for 99% of this cameras generally use. Thanks for checking out the video!
FUCK YEAH!!! SLIPKNOT!!! BADASS!!! Best camera related review video ever! This filter seems pretty awesome! I need it for my spooky horror type photography! I prefer shooting at 75mm and beyond, so this works for me!
Thanks for checking the video out! This would be a rad effect for horror themed shooting. I'd pick one up and try it out!
Battery life?
@@dangerkadung around 4 hours I believe. I’ve never worn them for that long continuously. I frequently put them back in the charging case so I always a have a solid charge. There is also an on/off switch on the inside of the glasses that can be used to preserve battery.
I JUST bought an a6700 yesterday. Did some shooting today and was panickinggg after the import haha. thanks for this!
I know that feeling, ha! Glad it helped!
Awesome insights into your photos!! What do you think about using it in nature?? Would love to see you using it in Sturgis next year!! 🤘🤘🤘
Could be useful in nature with the right composition! I'll definitely bring it out to the Rally next year 🤘
@danvirchow badass can't wait until next year and hang out with you and the crew
I really like your channel and how it is NOT ”clean photos of woman with red umbrella in rainy city”. I like your hell yeah-approach to concert photography. Keep it up
Thank you for checking out the video and for the kind words. Appreciate that! 🤘
i share the same experience like you. curious bout fuji, bought a xt10, upgrade to xt3 (now xs20). found out its flaw. end up felt lik the retro design is just too extra. now i back to Sony. Still enjoy my xs20 pasm design. The xs20 is also small and light and i really recommend this body alot. Sony is more for my serious work, while i use Fuji for casual, for fun, not so serious work.
Finally got a pair. Love the music aspect of these since i dont want to use ear buds or headphones, and be able to take hands free calls with them. Wish the speakers were slightly better with better drivers. I'm sure the next iteration the speakers could be improved, along with phone call volume. In loud environments, i can hear the music pretty decently but calls just seem muffled and distant from my ear given the speaker placement. If youre in a quiet room, sure, you can hear fine, but with sunglasses and being out and about, i would have like the speakers to have more oomph for music and phone call boosting. I only got the sunglasses, but would love to take a scrip version for a spin w/transitions. May see what my insurance can cover.
There are definitely limitations with phone calls compared to earbuds since they provide a more immersive experience. However, I'm still blown away by the ability to take phone calls with glasses at all!
U should have more subs….excellent job
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
I just got mine also. I have prescription lenses added to them. If you want that, just buy them through Lens Crafters. You can get the best quality lens (if you do though, the RayBan logo won’t appear on the lenses which I was fine with). The transitions go very dark which I love, and the ability to read things close up, “Progressives”, is amazing. These glasses are the beginning of the future. And that’s where we won’t be holding cellphones in our hands. I already don’t need to. “Hey Meta, call my wife.” Enough said, they work. :)
This is really helpful, and great suggestion on the gamut luts I'm definitely gonna check them out for my pocket 3 and sony camera. If I could suggest one thing - it would be helpful to have maybe used a different frame for the purpose of comparing all the varying luts/looks, rather than the first frame that was static throughout the first half of video. That sign looks dope and the most vibrant part of the clip, but that frame just barely showcases the sign both in size and angle. Just a thought for future color grading/lut comparison videos (I haven't watched your videos before this one, so maybe this was an outlier). Studio set up looks great as well btw, for the talking head portion.
Thank for checking out the video! Also appreciate the feedback 🙏
Just imagine if they were to chuck in augmented reality technology in the glasses. I believe this will eventuate. That’s when I’ll say we’ve reached the Jetson stage. That’s my thunk anyways. Good day 😊
That is definitely the next huge step! Might be a few years though considering things like the Apple Vision Pro allow for those things but are WAY bigger.
Who woulda thunk 🤔
Hey, I'm non-verbal, so can't talk. If I am wearing these glasses, can my partner speak for me and ask meta to do an action like "Hey meta, take a photo"?
Yep! I have been in situations where someone around me has said "hey Meta" and it activated my glasses. I believe there is the ability to have the glasses learn someones voice to so that only your partner's voice would be recognized by the glasses.
Great review - you’ve convinced me to buy a pair!
Awesome, I hope you enjoy them! Still fascinated by this tech.
Summerlin?
Right around that area!
What size are those raybans? Lrage or regular?
I got the large version. I had to add some nose grips to them (link in description) because my nose wasn't big enough to hold them up properly. After some time with these, I think I should have gotten the regular size.
@@danvirchow Thank you very much!
Did you read my mind? You telling everything the same I feel and pass through. Except for the fact that I bought the Sony A6700 😮😮🎉🎉
a6700 is a powerhouse! In terms of an APSC camera, it seems to be the most capable. I have also considered getting that body.
I have 2 technical questions, how do I know it fits my face? is there any measurement test I should take? I don't want it to be too tight or too loose. Also, can i buy the regular ones and then have the lens for prescription replaced in regular glasses store? because I'm having tough time translating my prescription in the site
I think the best bet for you would be to goto a store and try on both sizes to see which one fits you best. Also, I believe many glasses stores sell these now and would be able to give you a proper answer about the prescription. But yeah, go try them on somewhere!
@@danvirchow Hey thanks for the answer, but I can't that's why I asked :( I live in Iraq and my best bet is to order them online from Amazon, so I don't have the privilege of trying them on or having flexibility if I got wrong prescription
Got mine yesterday. The update added video for 3 minutes, but 60 sec is good enough for my taste. Hoping the video format will change later!
I am yet to even shoot for more than 60 seconds, so the 3 minute limit is more than suitable for me. Hope you like your glasses!
Great review! No fliffity fluff! Straight up info! Thanks! Just ordered my transitions! 🤙
Awesome! Hope you dig them!
Photography video, shows two pictures 🙄
Thank you so much for offering rhetorical way to avoid searchable.👍👍👍
These are very cool and you did a great job presenting them.
Thank you, appreciate that!
Thanks, im going through a similar journey but apsc to apsc. I rlly wish fuji could just give us a camera with the XS10 grip but the XT30 dials. And fix AF.
Lenses are the other sticking point. Fuji lenses are smaller and cheaper if compared to most of the Sony lenses, specially the G glass.
@@PhotosByMotaz I dod appreciate the price of the Fuji lenses. But in my opinion, they are much less capable which justifies the lower price.
The 1.2, 1.4 primes and zooms might be heavier on Sony. The XF 16-55mm mk2 is 410g vs 24-70 GM mk2 695g, also the size is larger. Maybe the x-t5 is larger and taller because by default it is an SLR design while the A7cii are rangefinder style or maybe because of the EVF specs?
I tend to use smaller lenses on my A7C II as size is the prize with that body. But it's full frame capabilities with that size are the main selling point to me.
The best thing of of this glasses in to come back to live the moment!!!! Not more telephones to record!!!! just see!!!! THAN CONCEP IS AMAZING
Agree!
so cool! thanks for sharing!
Thanks for checking it out!
Wow awesome!! thank you for that! I've seen that effect around and I was "googling" like crazy to find the right keywords and here comes your video! Thank you! Video on carousels would be awesome too! Cheers!
I'll pump out a carousel video one of these days! Thanks for checking out the video.
I love wearing a pair of handy dandy cargo pants to any shows I do - while it can sometimes seem like alot to keep on you, having rubber bands, safety pins, clips, and other small items like that can not only help you, but save others too! Saved another photographer from the dreaded stuck filter, (and fixed countless wardrobe malfunctions) highly recommend!
Great idea and very helpful!
Do the transitions bother you while shooting during the day? I can’t stand having sunglasses on while shooting. Considering the clears. But since they don’t get that dark…
Haven't bothered me yet while shooting. Keep in mind, I haven't used the EVF of the camera while shooting with these on. I've only shot with the back screen of the camera so that I can see properly.
NSA is salivating
Hi good review on the Meta Glasses i love mine best bit of Tech i have bought.
They're rad!
They need an option to take pictures with a landscape orientation. I purchased 2, transition and non transition. I'm going to use this as a language learning aid and also taking pictures while fishing, ( can't stand fumbling with my iphone).
Landscape would definitely be a great option, but as my first pair of these, I'm happy with the options that are available! I'm sure the next generation will have all the things we're all looking for in these.
Ok so I need to know and use proper settings to make use of the filter? Can’t just whip it on and film from the get go?
You won't get the proper effectiveness of a filter unless you use manual settings. This mostly involves shutter speed. 1/50 SS for 24 FPS, 1/60 for 30 FPS, 1/120 for 60 FPS, 1/240 for 120 FPS.
What size are these glasses???
I got the larger version of them but ended up adding some nose grips so they fit my face better.
Thank you for the video. I need to pick one of these up. I used a Nikon 85 1.4 on APS-C cameras as a wedding photographer almost exclusively during engagement and bridal sessions. As a portrait photographer, this is a no brainer.
@@bradovard8657 it’s a great lens and you won’t regret it! Amazing value.
