Hi, does the Stanley 400 actually apply any pressure to the mitre if using it for glueing up?

Such a beautiful collection. I absolutely adore pieces like these... But, hubby would ask me What collection I was letting go, to have them in our home... I adore antiques, but we'd have to buy a bigger home.... lol... i have vv-ix he bought me about 6 years ago, the Opera we just inherited, and Im hoping to add an Edison Diamond disc eventually... That'll be the extent of my collection.. I figure just enough to enjoy diamond discs, 78s, and amberols 😊

We inherited our Opera in March. Im in the process of restoring it, as its not playable at the moment. I had just gotten our horn back from repairs this past Saturday. We were very careful to make sure we installed it securely. However, 5 minutes later we heard a loud crash... Needless to say, im getting ready to ship it back out for repairs. Markus Wyatt has our reproducer right now... Thank you for sharing your beauty. I cant wait for ours to sing again. Would you mind sharing how you installed the bulb in your horns? Ive seen a few beautiful ones locally. Id love to do something like yours in one of our guest rooms... just Wonderful.

Hi, I'm new to this craft, if I'm joining 5/8" frame, would you suggest using a pneumatic underpinner or a nail gun, such as the one in your video. Thanks

So, how many years, or thousands of pieces of glass have you cut? How long will it take a first timer to get good at cutting glass?

Mike, Been stripping old upper wood sashes (6 over) and staining and finishing them with various clearcoats. They basicly 13 x 6 ½ glass openings. Want to do multi window matting in each opening.. Want to invest in a hand held mat cutter and rail system. This is more of a hobby. I made one, and family members and friends want one. Did 5 and now thougt about putting mat pictures in behind the glass. Any input or direction much appreciated. Very informative video.

where do youget the glass cutter from?

So...first of all, you are awesome sir, thank you for sharing your skills. Secondly, I find myself in this situation.. umm? lets just say alot more than I wish to be, but what do you do when you cut your glass for the frame and you are just a "sliver" over? I mean, I "always" seem to be just fractions too wide or I didn't break the glass clean and I end up having a hump along the edge. I have gotten better to where I don't really have bad breaks any more, so less humps, but I do find myself being just a bit too wide and having no way to cut such a Super thin slice off?

Thank you! Very informative. Just now moving into linen liners and fillets. I noticed you cut the inside matt w a bevel. Do you ever cut a straight cut to but up against the fillet? Is bevel or straight cut for the fillet, is one preferred over The other? Thank you Scott

You’re my hero! Here’s the thing: what glass cutting tool do I need because every one from Home Depot ALWAYS fails to make the score that your tool made, so what tool do we buy? I’ll pay $100 for a reliable tool. Also how many cuts does it last before swapping out the wheel? Thank you!

I am a framer at Michaels and I will say that your prices seem about equal to ours or possibly even lower. Besides that though, thank you for the video. The bit about the outer mat being more of a background color really helped something click for me in regards to the design. We don’t have a very wide selection of frames or mats here, so it is difficult to make good designs out of what we have, but I feel that bit will really help me make the best out of some of our more neutral and lower saturation mats. I hope the art and framing school is working out! Collab spaces are wonderful and those who host them are even more so.

This is a very impressive collection and the information is basically correct about most machines with the exception of the Victor automatic record changer VEV10-50X. That first generation record changer rarely breaks a record. I have been collecting the early changers for over 30 years. I hope he reads this and correct what he tells people about them.😁
