Yes, that is how this family is normally made. The flocking is not as soft as many of the other Sylvanian families. Same with the Willow deer family, as they have rough feeling flocking, too. Not sure what the reason is behind it. Not sure if it has anything to do with the more complex markings on the faces or not. Many people do not like the rougher feeling of the flocking.

They are a wonderful bunch of minis, and just five bucks for each set is quite a good deal!

They would look wonderful with the Fieldview windmill! The son and daughter make me think of Jack and Jill. Would be a perfect springtime scene with the mill.

I was super giddy!!!! I’ve been running around like a madwoman shopping for little toys. I’ve had a rough month and needed this big distraction to treat myself. All so superficial but works as a temporary band-aid, I guess 🤕. I’m saving receipts for some other stuff I got, just in case my voice of reason returns in a week or two - ha, ha. So keep looking in your local Five Belows for the holiday set from last year. I’ve been to 5 different Five Below stores in two days and saw it in one of the stores. And check both the Christmas section more towards front of store and then the regular section with Teeny Tinies deeper in the store. You still have 4 weeks for it to show up. And please let me know if you’d like me to pick one up to somehow send to you (if there is a way to send that you find acceptable), if I come across it again. Life is short and would be happy to send as a Christmas treat to you, my Pal! I’ll let you know if the wood slats work for the back of the truck. It sure seems like something should attach back there, but I have not had a chance to fully open it. Hope you’ve had time to work on your miniature projects. Stay well and whimsical, dear friend.

@@SylvanianWorld Toy shopping ALWAYS makes me feel better. 🥰🤗 Most times when I go to Dollar Tree, I stop at the toy aisle. Nowadays, I figure when people see me there, they figure I'm shopping for my grandkids, LOLOL. I am subscribed to someone who goes shopping and films what they see in the stores. Yesterday was Walmart and they had a super nice Buzzby's (??) house, looked just like a Sylvanian, for 25.00. Not sure how much the Sylvanian's go for, so not sure if 25.00 is good or not. I have one 5 Below store and may check it out on Monday. I will survive if I don't get the milk and cookies, but thank you so much for the offer! 😊 I hope you have a peaceful weekend. ☺

My wallet is not happy with me! And for what? So my critters could have their choices of international cuisine? So that they have the right clothes that dictates the fashion of the era they are in my head? So they could have options for what vehicles they could use for any activities! So they have could have more real estate in my a!ready limited space in my house for houses and buildings that might work as a Grand Train Station, Victorian Asylum, Victorian Work houses, Airport and Planes, Modern Shopping Mall(Lil Bratz Shopping Mall is a good attachment to Sylvanian Town Series)? Yes, Yes and Yes! Because I am happier person when I play with my toys and a better, dare I say, a better partner, son, brother, friend. I know you are too. P.S. I am still watching your long video of your Sweet Village. I watch it in super slow motion without the sound as I listen to an audio book of Beatrix Potter. Ha, ha. The tavern caters to all walks of life and is known for being reasonably priced. They grow their own root vegetables and hunt the game they serve to please the palates of peasants, soldiers, bandits, couriers, traveling merchants, and even the random prince that drops by on horseback. I think the lemonade stand has been an exception with its size matching perfectly well with the Sylvanians. Keeping fingers crossed!

The dish with the fried egg is the first one I’d eat if I could - the meat looks so spicy and tasty! I agree, the lime and chopped chilis are great. Re-ment offers so many possibilities 🤗. I haven’t made a Naan pizza in ages! But I do love smothering naan with butter and garlic. I agree, I wish Re-Ment was less expensive. So far I have been good at controlling myself and doing a lot of research before buying, especially because a lot of their furniture items don’t size well with Critters. So far, I’ve been happy with the sets I bought. I like hearing about the pieces that caught your eye. The shade of green they chose for the tea set gives an authentic Asian look. Weather still going strong . . .

Thanks Pal!! I have a lot of those 3D animal and food erasers. I got them last year and wondering if the koala I have is the same as what you saw. I’ll be using a lot of the animals in my Christmas video this year. I stopped by Dollar Tree today. Did not see the animals but I bought Christmas pencil top erasers that I already used today to decorate my diorama 😁! Makes me feel special to have you looking out for me 🤗- thanks! @@SylvanianWorld I voted in person early this year. That was the first time ever but I didn't know what to expect on actual election day, so I played it safe. Those pencil top erasers, do they have a cute snowman and also a neat Christmas tree? (plus reindeer and Santa head?) I bought a set last year, not sure if from DT or not. I painted the snowman and tree decorations with a teeny tiny paint brush and they came out pretty nice, even if I do say so myself. : D Pray for R A I N : (

@@randomviking8676 Yes, those are the same erasers. I passed on them last year but coming in handy now. The Santa head is begging to be painted but I won't be able to get around to it this year. Nice to know that it takes paint well, though. I'm using the snowmen as unfinished ceramic sculptures that can be purchased in a Christmas store - looks pretty good!

Below is a link to a Dollhouse miniature website selling some nice accessories. You can check out the cheeses. Coincidentally, their store is in Toronto! Have you heard of Little Dollhouse Company? How fun it would be for you to check out their store. I found a set of cheeses on their website in link below. I have bought a few things in the past from them. Gorgeous! I loved it but could not get myself to spend so much! There was never an Olive shop in the Sylvanian collection as far as I know. The Tama one was custom designed. If I come across more cheese options, I'll keep you in mind. So far, the best ones and best price I currently can find are from Little Dollhouse Company. I’m glad you watched this! I visited the Normandy beaches in 2020 and always had an interest in WW2 history. Was a goal of mine to create this slide show since my visit and finally found time to learn how to use the movie app in 2020. Watching it is very sobering and can still bring tears to my eyes.

Thanks - I’m glad you liked it! My neck is ok but just one day of bad posture while working can leave it achy. Hard to break bad habits. Your Good Will finds are killing me!! Admittedly, I don’t go to Good Will often but that’s because it’s usually a big disappointment when I do. Thanks for thinking about me, though 🙂. My dad’s arthritis is really acting up today - which means, maybe that rain will show up for you tomorrow. It was nice seeing people walking around in coats last week! We did a lot of weeding the garden this past weekend. Tons of vines grew all summer and basically strangled the rose bushes and sunflowers. We had planted lots of sunflower seeds and none grew because we let the vines get out of hand. Oh well. The zinnias grew, at least. I always have good intentions with my flower garden, but between my work schedule and terrible summer heat I just don’t tend to it as I should. Hope you enjoy your week and can work on your miniature project.

@@SylvanianWorld Zinnias???!!! Oh how I used to love planting zinnias every year. Such beautiful and vibrant colors, many didn't look real. 😃 Unfortunately come mid August, the leaves would start getting 'powdery mildew' and no matter what I tried, it would destroy the plants pretty quickly. Never tried them again, after leaving NY. I know what you mean about the vines. Those monsters spread out and choke everything they can wrap their little tendrils around. They even grab on tighter than the ivies. Let me know if you ever decide to get a PO box, think of all the Goodwill goodies I could send. 😊

@@randomviking8676 Way delayed response - I just had a very long, miserable 1.5 weeks of work and worked all weekend. Finally have a day off to regain sanity - barely. Now I can start enjoying the tranquil weather. I picked out some vintage books of ghost and creepy stories from my book collection to read for the season. I never matched my reading with the season before, but it is quite fun. Read a 3 page story by Poe last night called the Oval Portrait - it was very Dorian Gray. I also came across a youtube video that had a recipe for hot spiced apple cider, which includes adding orange slices and maple syrup to store bought apple cider. It was quite delicious. And I'm typically not a big apple cider drinker. Maybe we can figure out a stealth way for me to get my address to you (and not the whole world) at some point - if you ever have another Goodwill find that you can't walk away from. Based on the random spam emails I get containing my home address, there are lots of Whatevers out there that have my address, so you are not a worry to me. Stay cozy until next time . . .
