Tomatoes are finally doing great in the system. My experiment with keeping the tomatoes, bell pepper and okra in the paper cups has worked really well with no transplant shock. Hopefully when it's time to remove them I won't have any soil in the rocks.

Harbor Freight 10x12 Greenhouse and IBC Aquaponic system
My brightness was dim on my phone and it looked like you foot launched without a motor.
That was my 1st and only good foot launch landing because I was on the beach with 8mph laminar wind
Awesome!! Looks like fun!
Amazing flight and loved the views cant wait for the next one
That was such an incredible adventure. Can't wait to do that again!
Good One !
You couldn’t have picked a better song for this video! Thanks for posting
Hey I live in north Florida too I have a system too if you need help with anything let me know
Sorry 😞
Came back to this to see if you or someone else had rebuilt it. Looked to be a great system! Hope you guys are doing good!
Decided not to rebuild it. It was small and more of a hobby experiment. Almost completely recovered from hurricane Michael. just a little more cleanup on my property. I lost 29 acres of planted pines.
@@slademcneill8801 glad to see you're finally getting through it!
Oh geez....just watched this follow up video...so sorry to see what happened...hope you were able to recover and start anew - even if only on a smaller scale...
what a nice setup!!
I too just stumbled across your videos because I recently salvaged a Harbor Freight 6 x 8 version of that greenhouse and have been exploring modifications (respected your using pvc to support the structure). Here in middle GA the storms can be amazing too. Curious, did you rebuild the property? The greenhouse? Do hope hope the family weathered Michael ok. Be interesting to see a follow up. Cheers and best of luck.
No. I didn’t rebuild it. We have recovered in regards to our home but our land is still in the process of clean up. The aquaponics was a fun project but definitely does not produce enough for sustainability. It would have to be a significantly larger system.
Thank you, for both the greenhouse review and the aquaponics details. Greatly appreciated. I look forward to catching up on the other vids
really nice set up!
nice system, but if water pump stops no air will get to the fish. i would have a backup air stone.
You should watch the video again you can see the aerator and I also talk about it
how long that gravel filter works?? I believe they may turn brown or some algae formation will happen which makes the system looks Greenish and not good looking?? What are your views on this, this was my observation
So sorry to have your wonderful tunnel destroyed. Please don't give up.
I have 10 PVC tanks 40,000ltrs 8 by 4 by 1.3 mtrs. How may cat fish can I grow? How many grow beds do I need
Catfish didn’t work for me. Neither did panfish. Tilapia is the best to use, but are illegal in north Florida. I ended up using goldfish but they are not for eating. Tilapia will breed in tanks. The more fish the more grow beds. Also how much water flow matters too. You just have to practice with it. I had one tank of fish feeding three grow beds
Just saw your aquaponics system and navigated to your channel. Extremely sorry to see the destruction from the hurricane. Hope you have recovered by now.
Excellent build. Thank you for sharing your proof of concept. I patiently wait for updated video to see in full production
What are you up to now? Did you rebuild?
I am so sorry for your incredible loss of all your hard work. Your first video on aquaponics is great-one of the best I have seen. I hope you recover soon
How long did those boards that are holding the grow beds up last before they rot out from the moisture just wondering I've built a few systems myself but not as big as that hopefully coming up soon I'll be building my big system
Jamie Lingenfelter if My system wasn’t destroyed by hurricane Michael they would still be perfectly fine. They were pressure treated and they never got wet
I'm sorry to hear that I'm thank you for getting back to me
Very nice sir.
lol. finally found another youtuber with hopefully good videos. checked the latest one... .this one. :(
What an excellent, well-built system! Thanks so much for making the video and sharing. I have been interested in aquaponics since I read about musician John Denver's system years ago using a geodesic dome.
Thank you. Unfortunately it was destroyed by hurricane Michael in 2019. You can see the aftermath in my last video on my channel. Haven’t decided if I’m going to rebuild it yet.
Awesome thank you I am planning my system using 55 gal poly barrels and I can totes. I was unsure about space. You have plenty of space. Thank you so much for your video
Really clean pretty setup
cool
well done how is it working?
I hope you are doing well.
Where is everybody flying these days
Start it back up! The build was very well done.
How did the worms get in?
great looking system ,well done, the only thing you need now is a stilling chamber in the swirl filter outlet tube to slow the swirl so it settles more.
Very nice and clean setup. It looks great.
where on the panhandle are you?
David Severance Jackson County
beautiful system!
Dang, what a set back. Don’t give up! Look into vertical growing. Perhaps it can be a system that you can take indoors temporarily when the anomaly arrives. Hope all is well.
Bonjour ça manque de poissons dans le système beaucoup de carences constater

Oh my god, its very to sad this beautiful thing torn down ! Wish all the best and you make a better one.
Abufaza3_Gam3r haven’t decided whether to rebuild it or not. I have or had 29 acres of pines that I planted myself that are destroyed as well as my house damage. I have many years of cleanup to do. It was fun and it worked decently. It was a good experience with aquaponics.
Well lets hope it works beautiful as it looks
Abufaza3_Gam3r it worked pretty good on certain vegetables. Collards, peppers and all herbs grew well. It was fun, but definitely not big enough to stop going to the grocery store. Lol.
@@slademcneill8801 yea i have seen the the newer vids and am sorry to what happend to it. Hope you recover
This. This is it. After looking through countless setups, this one is the cleanest and most practical DIY. Using 3 IBC split between grow beds and sump tanks is perfect.
I like your set up🤗😊, I'm at the beginning too and I'm doing a growbed inside, I live in northern Massachusettes😊
Lisa Martinez look at my last video. Mine was destroyed
Time to set 4 poles and grab some plastic. I hope you continue on.
You can hand pollinate, and heat may be an issue for the fish. Where is your bio filter ?
You appear to have enough land, why not consider geothermal cooling? Nice setup btw.
10×12 room size means 100sft only/- is it sufficient to make this
Slade, what is the green material you used on the outside? Great video!
Thank you for keeping it really simple for me
